    I think it's cool that we get new Avatar Games at all; that said though QfB is fundamentally aiming for something very different than we do while also probably dealing with a crazy low budget and short timelines to release it. Also worth to mention that this is the first game from that studio with that kind of scale.
    Our goal for Four Seasons is to literally look at every frame of the show and translate it into 3D as close as possible so you can switch back and forth between the show and our game and immediately feel immersed. QfB aims for a more game-y feel with stylized visuals. (Not saying our game won't have game-y elements but definitely not as tagged on as this seems to be, I want to have most systems make sense within the world itself while also keeping the original layout of the locations intact.)
    I think it's interesting that they actually went for a more stylized approach than the actual show if you look at locations like Senlin Village.
    I think their game will actually be a good time; not the game I'd make though.^^
    Btw funny that you mentioned the character design of our game because that's one of the few things I actually didn't make. My buddy Kaifraz did that a few years back when we were still all learning Dreams and how to sculpt in it. Considering the Limitations of Dreams and that this was one of his earlier sculpts it's actually really impressive for Dreams' Standards but might be worth remaking Aang at this point with the gained knowledge (I would need to literally reanimate everything though, so that might just be a thing we do for Book 2/3).
    We also just got a dedicated Character Sculptor who already made Bumi (you can see him on my Instagram and it actually looks very nice imo).
    Anyways thanks for the kind words!
    We will definitely try to make the game that does the show justice. ❤️

      That's amazing to hear! Any harsh words I've said towards Bamtang come from a place of wanting to play an enjoyable ATLA game that I can clearly see in my head but it just hasn't been realised yet. I love the approach you guys have taken and I can't even fathom the amount of work you and your team must have put into your game for the last few years. I'll be eagerly awaiting the release and good luck!

      as someone who had had his first engineering years experience in the "real world" industry I have to say everything summarizes on timelines, delivery dates and making money. Sadly, the industry focuses more in fast delevopment, making "the best" you can achieve in that time period and passion for a great detailed product is left on the lower priority ladder.

      That being said, they maybe could’ve gotten some extra financial support directly from Nick, who knows.

      actually the recent updates to dreams added the ability to stamp stickers, and by tempering with the sticker tools you can achieve a cell shading effects on your creations.
      the the characters model looks a bit bland in the fan game is probably the person who made the fan game aren't good enough to sculpt on puppets the standard looks of the characters in the dreams fan game got nothing to do with dreams doesn't have polygons.

    the most Avatar game I've ever played was "Avatar: The Last Airbender - Into the Inferno" and this new game seems like it tries to be a little bit of what that game was, the idea of puzzles existed in the old one, the 3D graphics, the bend seem to have similar ideas, but it's amazing how even with about 20 years of differences the guys manage to do something better, in that game there was a lot missing, and they seem to be just trying to make a copy and paste with all the books and on top of a way worse but visually better just for them to buy. What a mess, I hope that until the launch they improve, and if not, that at least after the launch it happens.

    i wish a big compani put the same effort on a Avatar game like Elca does, BUT, i been watching Elca streamings and videos for the past couple of years, and even though i think he is making a good Avatar Universe, he doesn't look like he's thinking about the level design in each enviroment. Whats gonna do the player when he gets there, is everything just gonna be the show but you playing it? i havent seen any combat yet, i know you already can bend some elements, but i haven't seen them in action... Anyways i just hope both projects the best, at the end, the fans just want more avatar content

    Probably the main reasons behind the success of Elca and the failure of that random mobile game company are:
    1. That the random company has to develop it is less than X years. In the industry (game industry, 3D industry, programming industry, music industry, industry of industries, etc), when your boss says "I want it done for tomorrow morning", then it *WILL BE DONE* by tomorrow morning. Idk if it will be good or not, but it will be done.. Elca can actually keep working for another year, maybe 2 years, it's a side project, even the supporters (the closest thing to his "boss" here) support the idea. Each task, no matter which one, has a time limit, and most of them are also done in order, when you spend 1 day more on something, then chances are that you'll have to spend one less on something else (or add more hs of work, and this will all affect multiple departments within the studio).
    2. As Elca said in some other comment, his focus goes fully into recreating the world of the series, it's the closest thing to an "Avatar: The Last Airbender TV Series" interactive videogame sim experience. Most people don't want to play as Azula or Aang, most people want to travel around the diff scenarios, to immerse themselves into the series but from a new first person or third person 3D perspective. There's no real place for puzzles, everything is handcrafted, matching the original show, nothing is changed or added just for the sake of some puzzle-driven gameplay. When you add puzzles and stuff alike, you end up tweaking the level design in order to add such features (and no fans give a damn about this, most fans want an actual recreation of the series, in 3D, and Elca along with the rest behind the project, are fully committed into that, which is awesome and I hope they'll live long enough to do the same with Legend of Korra lol).

    • @jeffboy4231
      @jeffboy4231 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i mean elca does have a time limit no? the time limit being dreams itself, either it takes so long to make that the ps6 released and there's no dreams on that system whatsoever. or dreams shuts down their servers (tho idk how exactly this works, so that might not be a problem)

    • @NikoBellicXDS
      @NikoBellicXDS ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffboy4231 That might be technically correct, the time limit being attached to dreams platform or servers (idk since I don't even own a PS or Xbox console anymore so no idea). If that's the case then yes. Would also depend on how much assets he uses come from the cloud (if those are local, then he will still have the save files, that should be the case, in any case hope dreams lives for another 20 years lol)

    • @jeffboy4231
      @jeffboy4231 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NikoBellicXDS what we have to hope for is that the game releases on dreams, and many many people buy dreams then only to play that game, then maybe there will be a dreams 2, where you can import your dreams 1 creations (and maybe upgrade them)

    And... that's why big companies issue DMCA notices to indie games. They want their shitty cash grub titles to not have any sort of competition. Because honestly, my first reaction to this game was: "wait how is this game a hundred times worse than that indie dreams project?".
    I must say, however, we aren't guaranteed that the dreams game will ever see release, so for now my excitement is contained. Many indie titles fall during development sadly. I wish them luck in giving us the ATLA game we fans deserve!
