    For anyone wondering why her hair is transparent, it's not a camera trick or a result of thin/damaged hair. Since she natrually has coils, when just "blown out" or stretched. Every strand isn't completely straight and lying against one another. Every individual strand is going its own way, with whatever is left of its natural pattern, creating gaps where light can shine through because they are not uniform. Afro textured hair tends to grow upward and outward. it's able to not be weighed down by gravity, so the hair isn't being pulled into itself or downward ethier.

    The one where you showed about the babies being taught, that is a great thing they're doing! So many toddlers fall into bodies of water, (pool, lakes, ponds, etc) and end up dying because they can't swim. These classes don't teach babies to swim as much as they teach them to float till someone can get to them. If more parents would do this, it would save more lives!

    • @kooskansloos4834
      @kooskansloos4834 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      You can 'teach' a baby all you want about floating, but a toddler with clothes on won't float in water, despite the efforts.
      This class is a fun way of spending time with your baby, since it's been floating for nine months and it makes the baby comfortable doing it again. Nothing more.

    • @luckygnome2746

      It looks like a cane corso or similar breed. They make really great guard dogs and hunting dogs, historically they were great to have on farms to guard property and livestock. People get certain breeds purely for looks without realizing that working dogs 100% need a job to be happy and well-behaved; a walk won't cut it, and they can't just be kept in the house all day. They can be pets to very dedicated owners, but they're not meant to be house pets. They also need a ton of training to know when to react and when not to, and a competent owner whose authority they'll take seriously. I say this as a lover of big, tough working mastiffs (especially corsos and rotties), but I firmly believe that owners need to be charged with assault using a deadly weapon if they get breeds like cane corsos, rottweilers, and especially pit bulls if they end up attacking. People who don't acknowledge the special training and activity needs of these breeds, or their ability to do harm, are not doing them any favors. If anything, this behavior indirectly causes more of them to end up being put down after being put in bad situations with ill-prepared, uninformed owners.

    The baby swim class works because babies have an instinct to hold their breath but keep their eyes open when exposed to water. It's called the bracycardic reflex. It ends around 6 months to a year. So theoretically, teaching your baby to swim in the first few months is an optimal time.

      @mehere8038 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "swimming" & reflexes are completely different things & these "lessons" have zero impact on ability to swim later in life. If you want to teach swimming, you need to wait until the baby is at least 1-2 years old. If you want to prevent them drowning for a few minutes when below a year old, then you condition them & strenghten the breath holding & train them to flip onto their backs & head for the surface with their movements & AFTER you have done that, you clothe them & "drop" them into the water to ensure your training has worked & to create some cool looking videos. Any baby who was experiencing what you saw on the video as their first water experience would be crying & screaming on reaching the surface - IF they reached the surface, which is highly unlikely.
      What you saw is not what was happening, only assumptions based on ignorance

    • @martinsimeonov1563
      @martinsimeonov1563 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its tyndall effect ma'am. The hair probably got thinner due to the processing to make it like that. Results in light being able to hit the side or portion of the front of the hair, altough coming from the back, so it come from.the back, hits the side and gets reflected .. in front. That makes the hair look like being transparent.
      The effect is ofc more evident with large light sources like that lamp, also it does now work if there's too manay hair so only the external portion looks like that, its because the hair is still too large to get so hard of a tyndall effect and in the end theres a limit on how much stuff can be "fooled" like that.
      A perfect tyndall obscures the light from wiev and gives off a diffused light in the whole area, wich happens with smoke. Smoke detectors use light sensors that are hidden and cant be lit, unless the light gets there through tyndall effect.
      Now taking into account camera not well performing against contrast, i think that if you look at that woman with your eyes you wont see that much of tyndall effect, while to the camera that reflected light appears to be still better than the dark hair, in fact its a less than 10% tyndall reflection. By accounting an average 500 nm (0.5 um, or 1/2000 mm) light wavelenght, you get best tyndall at that size. Since the effect is in fact not so strong (only appears to be due to the phone camera abovementioned),
      And since its linked with a logarithmic proportion to the size of the hair, i think that hair is between 40 and 100x the size of the light wavelenght, wich translates in 20-50 um... pretty thin but still healty.
      Also if there's wax and smoothening shampoos etch, we gotta account for extra refletion from the sides, wich means the hair could be thicker and still giving the impression of a decent tyndall effect

    Her hair has really little density. You can even see through her hair without looking directly at the lights.

    • @theblackpearlofbraavos
      @theblackpearlofbraavos ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also along with the idea that curly/coily hair tends to bend light causing sheen as opposed to shine, it makes it look like it just disappears under the light. I wonder if hair porosity (just off sight it appears hers could be on the high side) could be a factor too.

    Okay, the dog that broke through the front door has clearly done it more than once. The door had a tarp, and there wasn't as much glass as there should've been. That door was already broken.

I'm sure they replaced the glass and put up some reinforcement. no need to be a Debby downer, look at things as learning experiences instead of regrets. perspective stuff. at least that's my advice, but what do I know, I'm just a stranger on the internet.

    I used to take my sister swimming all the time (I'm 11 years older than her and there were always adults around) and she always loved it, babies really do kind of instinctively understand how to swim and float and hold their breath and they really like being in the water.
