I love these videos! I've recently picked up sewing as a hobby and made my first ragdoll the other day and I'm now making a patchwork bear, I still have a lot to learn like the different stitches and still trying to learn how to sew things together while hiding stitches.. I have a handheld sewing machine but I much prefer to hand sew as its more secure and precise, but it does take a long time, when making bears is it better to hand sew or use a machine? I love these tutorials, after some practice I plan on starting to make my own bears and ragdolls as I've been collecting bears for years and love to make my own and I'll definitely be following these videos to make my own bears! Would love to make a jointed one someday!

Hi Lisa, love your video's. Thank you so much for the pattern. I've been searching for a teddy bear pattern i like the look of and i absolutely love this one, it's so cute. I have never made a soft toy before but my granddaughter who is almost 6 has recently lost her mother a month ago and she has just included on her santa list a teddy with her mammy on it. So i thought i could make your bear out of her mother's snoody (i think that's what you call it) it's a kind of hoody for slouching around the house in. She wore it quite often as it was comfy and roomy. There is no label on it but i think it's a kind of faux fur type of material, almost like a crushed velvet but with a bit more length to the fur. The inside is like a wool type of look. Do you think it would be possible for me to use this material for this pattern please? I was thinking of including a heart shape onto the front with a velcro fastening so as when opened she would see a picture of her mother inside the heart. I'm hoping to print onto transfer paper an image of her mother and iron it onto a piece of material that i can sew inside the heart. Thank you for any advice or help you may be able to provide.
    Thank you

Finally following the tutorial exactly but wow... using the double felt with heat and bond on the arms and legs has used so much more felt and my poor machine has had such a hard time going through 4 layers and the heat and bond. I have a brother tough and heavy machine. In the red used a needle size 100 and it thumped through. The result was awful 😖 😱 😨 x oh dear..just found out I'm using a no sew heat and bond. What a fool!! Xxx

Hi Lisa. I thought I uploaded a comment but it disappeared on me. I was just wondering about the pastels - are the soft oil pastels the same thing? Thank you

Hi Jay, no definitely not the same thing, you need Artist Soft Pastels. They are dry and Chalk like.🥰
