Usually we don't roast the wieners. We just let them boil for few minutes and eat them in a hot dog bun or with potato salad. The Sauerkraut normally is boiled, too. And I personally never heard of Hot Dogs with Sauerkraut. The Idea comes from New York.

Germany has legit the best bread, sausage & beer on the world. Most popular sausages are currywurst, krakauer & nürnberger rostbratwurst.
The currywurst is an regular bratwurst which is cutted in pieces with homemade curry sauce & some currypowder on top. Served with white toast or bread rolls. Actually u can put everything u want on the hot dog buns. Regular is just ketchup & mustard.

Sending Light.. FYI.. You ALWAYS want to eat sauerkraut RAW !!! That is the purpose of fermented foods! They aid in the digestive process by breaking down fats etc by providing enzymes and other biological co-factors! That's why ALL of Our previous Generations have fresh vegetables and or fruits couple with fermented ingredients (Vinegars) when they ate processed or unprocessed Meats! Kimchi ... Miso... You get the point...

They looked great! My favourite method is either sauerkraut and pickled relish on a small bun (by hot dog bun) or just the sausage by itself with sauerkraut smothered in gravy, mustard and slices of fresh rye bread.

- Schweinebraten(pork steak) eaten with Rotkohl and Klöße
-Weisswurst(boiled White Veal Sausage with no bun) eaten with sweet mustard
-Thuringerwurst eaten on a roll(not a hot dog bun) eaten with mustard.
-Schnitzel
-Apfelstrudel
-1 liter of Bier(hofbrahaus, paulener, etc)

korrekt, weiß nicht ob man das Markenmissbrauch nennen sollte, aber das sind weder Thüringer noch Nürnberger Würste und ich meine das diese nur den Namen tragen dürfen wenn sie in der jeweiligen Region Produziert wurden sind, mal abgesehen davon, dass die Nürnberger ungefähr 3 mal größer als Vorgeschrieben sind und die Thüringer wie eine Billig kopie von nem Discounter aussehen.

You needed mustard. Curry ketchup is for Curry Wurst, a classic in Berlin. And yes, beer is an absolute must have.

here in germany we have a sausage called "käse-krakauer" in english it is "cheese-krakauer" its just a krakauer filled with cheese, and it tastes awesome! :D
