Thank you so much for uploading this! A beautiful and moving rendition of Danny Boy sung as only Alfie Boe can sing it ... with so much emotion and feeling ... a very moving part of a fascinating programme from BBC Radio 2.
The man who plays the bagpipes is my great granda who passed three years ago, bagpipes were one of his passions and ever since i can remember i got told stories of how he toured with the black watch and played at jfk's funeral. he was such an amazing man and I'm glad that people enjoy hearing him play the instrument that was his passion.
This is just beautiful. This was sung live on a BBC Radio 2 broadcast in London on 22 November 2013 on the anniversary of the assassination of President John F Kennedy. It was a fascinating 3 hour programme recounting the events minute by minute. The piper playing on this is the same man who played Danny Boy on the bagpipes at Kennedy's funeral. Alfie Boe is such an amazing singer, if anything when he sings live it is even better than his recordings, and this is so incredibly moving. .

When he sings, it goes all the way through you. Chills, really feeling his mood and strength of the song. ❤

First time I heard him sing this. Beautifull voice; and I like the bagpipes also...

Robert White's rendition more moving and passionate in my opinion!.
Lovely voice but not the most moving performance

Beautiful! Love this song!
Fantastic!
Wow just wow❤❤
Beautiful...
The total level of talent -- wow.
LOVE THIS
Beautiful
Really liked this video! All the best!!
His a cappella version is much better. His voice alone is all that’s needed for this song.
There is nothing that Alfie cannot sing. I have following Alfie for some time and he has more talent and vocals than anyone
WHO CANNOT LOVE THIS SONG? YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IRISH, THAT'S FOR SURE !!?
Dany Boy ne vieillira Jamais!👍🏻👍🏻
D'aussi belles chansons ne se trouvent pas facilement. Exiserait-il une version italienne ? Merci si quelqu'un peut me le dire.
❤🎶🥰🎶❤

38 seconds of intro music?
i admire peole who attemp to sing this song :--j--c
It's deceptively simple - but woe to them that give it a go.
MARIO LANZA is the one and only man for this song!
If you want to hear it beautifully sung by a contemporary tenor listen to Frank Patterson or Stanford Olsen

Erinnert mich an mein Telefonbuch ...
Alfie was great but the orchestral arrangement really detracted from my enjoyment of Mr. Boe's singing
Percussion is a mistake for this song.
NOthing special...Barnbrack do a better version imap
