This watch looks stunning. The only thing that really bothers me, and this is from having tried other Eco-Drive watches, is the left side bezel rotation. I tried playing with a watch that had this and it drove me nuts because I couldn't get my right thumb and index to grab it!
Just bought one. I love it. I think they look really good. Even fun to play with the slide rule and work out how to do calculations, though I need magnifying glasses to do that. I got it very cheap, and as far as I'm concerned its got a dial that is much more true to the general history of pilot watches, being very clear with big numbers and marks and hands, and without too much busyness with multiple other dials.
@@hammondwatch2808 Yes, they are, but anyway I am a big fan of citizen. My favorite one is the citizen promaster skyhawk blue angels edition which I own for years. Orient is another great brand, I have the defender 2 automatic, great value for the money.

Nice video! Informative and well presented. I am fairliy serious about purchasing this watch but have a qustions that I'd like you to answer if possible. I'm wondering if there is a way to account for Daylight Savings time vs. Standand time. Will the watch automatically adjust for the change during that biannual occurance? Thank you for considering my question.
Hey! Thanks for the great review! On your opinion, what is the battery life? When the battery (or capacitor?) should be replaced? The Citizen says that it s a life-time, but I didn't trust them.
My experience has been that capacitors tend to go out sometime between 10- 15 years old. Its kinda luck of the draw though as I've had some pretty old citizens that work well with all original parts. I imagine it comes down to how long in spends dead in the dark.
2:16 it's so weird what happened to the movement of the bezel, it's so loose! I had one (and have an old nighthawk), the bezel on the older model is way more solid, it doesn't float around.
I have the Nighthawk. Would that bracelet fit this watch? The case dimensions look similar. I like that the Skyhawk has a sapphire crystal. Is the AR coating work effective?
@user-tk7km1sr7e. No the regular Citizen Nighthawk bracelet (e.g., the black ion-plated, stainless steel bracelet found on the Citizen Nighthawk BJ7005-59E and BJ7019-62E watches) is not interchangeable with the bracelet on or compatible with the radio-control version of the Nighthawk watch because Citizen deliberately alters the pin hole placement on the watch lugs of their different series of Eco-Drive watches so that watch fans cannot simply substitute one bracelet that is more appealing with a less appealing bracelet on their Eco-Drive watches. Having said that, the black ion-plated, stainless steel bracelet on a Citizen Nighthawk BJ7005-59E watch is interchangeable with the black ion-plated, stainless steel bracelet found on the Citizen Nighthawk BJ7019-62E watch because those 2 Nighthawk watches utilise the exact same bracelet and both of those versions of the Nighthawk watch have the exact same pinhole placement on the watch lugs. Also, Citizen Skyhawk bracelets are not compatible with (interchangeable with Citizen Nighthawk bracelets) Citizen Nighthawk watches and vice-versa.
I really would like to know if it works in central america nicaragua to be exact, i will get one of this but my concern is that. Please I'll appreciate if you help me😢

Have Just bought one for 149€. A real bargain. Thanks for the review
Thank you for this video. I have this watch and I have learned more from watching your video than I have been able to find anywhere else.
Same!
Thank you for the video, I felt the same after researching this watch and currently have it on order.
A SEVERELY underrated watch
i have one and love it..got it in vegas at the outlet stores for half the amazon price
Nice! It's a fantastic watch.
Cool video! I love that watch. Been seeing that version on Jomashop with a bracelet. Been on the fence with it. Decisions, decisions, ugh
Thanks for your review! You’re right, there’s not much on the net about this watch, so kudos! It is a great looking piece. Enjoy!
Sky Pilot Chrono Radio controlled CB5000-50L is a great watch and it comes in 2 variants also with rubber strap. Great price and great watch.
Citizen has the prettiest pilot watches, even nicer than most ultra premium brands.
Yes and no IMO. As far as the affordable end of the market goes I think thy do the best job. Their counterpart at the top end is IWC for sure.

The only problem is the strap is a little tight, and took me a while to work out how to attach it.
@@michaelwebster8389 its leather you could use leather wax to make It softer and waterproof
Beautiful watch!!
Great video, very nice watch. Recently I bought the titanium version on a bracelet with a black dial, and is very legible and light.
Wildly underrated line of watches.

Are you sure it’s a pressed-on caseback? With 200m WR I’d suspect a monocoque case.
Great video, Thank you
i got the brown variant, great watch, only the strap sucks as it starts to tear and rip apart where the clasp keepers are super fast.
I change straps a lot so its hard to tell for me. Still a great package overall.

Being a radio controlled watch it will adjust for daylight savings.

Great review, you convinced me - almost!
Is this stainless or titanium? The Amazon page says titanium, but I thought I saw stainless in your video ...
its stainless steel.
How do you adjust daylight savings time?
second click of the dial and then turn it once up or down to DLST
Does anyone know how to check the current month in this watch?
