    I hope this becomes widespread and available for everyone soon. I have keratoconus in both eyes (my corneas are misshaped and are slowly falling apart which will lead to blindness.) not just that but astigmatism in both eyes too. I have scleral contact lenses that help me see better, but not perfectly. For anyone and everyone who wears contacts, you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to put them on and take them off every day. That is double for hard contact like mine, how so you may ask?
    First - contact must be free of all particles and debris (obviously)
    Second - using a small plunger, place contact on said plunger.
    Third - fill contact beyond the brim with saline (this ensures the hard lens will stay in place, won’t fall out by creating a vaccine seal and helps the eye stay hydrated too)
    Fourth - using off hand, pry eyelids open and slowly bring plunger and saline filled contact to said opened eye. (If you fail to put in contact in the first time which no one on earth can do then you have to realign the contact, refill with saline and try again.)
    Fifth - once the first contact is in, repeat steps on to four on other eye.
    If air bubbles, hair or anything else is in or on the contact after you put it on you then must use a different plunger which is just a suction cup to carefully pull the hard contact out (remember the contact is vacuum sealed to the eye) rinse out the contact and the eye, then repeat steps one through four AGAIN!
    obviously, this is not ideal for long term, in addition to the difficulty in even wearing hard lenses. It’s even MORE difficult for those who have had no previous experience with regular soft contact like myself. Worse still, the price, I remember paying nearly $1600 dollars (most insurance companies do not cover specialty or hard contacts) out of pocket for the exam, fitting and receiving of said contacts. But the worse of it all is that it is NOT a one time purchase, you have to have an annual eye exam, re-examine the lens fitting and possibly purchase different sized lenses depending of the results. You do not use the same lenses for more than a year or two.
    A lot of hassle for little reward. This new technology and procedure presents a permanent solution for those blind and those going blind like me! I hope and pray this operation become widespread soon, I would pay Any price to see clearly permanently.
    To live my life normally with no worries about going blind, to watch my daughter grow and to grow old with my wife. With clear and perfect vision to see it all.

      You don’t have the condition imagine seeing your children grow up knowing one day you won’t be able to. Or like myself I can see with my contacts once I take them off any emergency I’m blind can’t help our contact have to be cleaned for 4-6 hours

  • @pavlekodak2147

    Someone asked about the price of the procedure - as always it depends on your medical insurance and necessity of the procedure, an issue highly complicated in Israel as in any other western country... hopefully as the procedure became more common the Price will come down, i am not an expert but by the length of procedure (one hour) and the look of it (sort of cataract operation) it should not be overly expensive the only thing is R&D cost but as I said if became more common it will influence the price... as blind on one eye and with relatively high diopter on the other eye, every development in this field makes me more calm regarding my future

Perdí la vista de ese ojo desde tendría mis 12 años . I'm curious, say if later you need a cataracts operation or a vitrectomy or simply eye drops to dilate the pupil so the retina can be examined. How are those achieved? From what I understand, a cataracts operation requires drops to dilate the pupil followed by an incision through the edge of the cornea. Whilst a vitrectomy includes punching 3 holes through the sclera.

    • @MatiasHerm
      @MatiasHerm 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am also concerned about this, you may be able to get your corneal blindness cured but after some years you will have cataracts blindness, and I don't think they'll be able to make an incision on an artificial cornea.

    Time to look into buying some stocks I'm thinkin eh?.... cuz this sh*t here, if it truly works as well as they're saying and gets installed as easily by surgeons as they're claiming, then this shiz bout to blow uuuuuup internationally one would think. Plus, with stocks you wanna buy them as cheaply as possible and hang onto them as long as you can stand it while a new company/product grows, which means you need to buy stocks in a new venture right up front when that company/product is still very new and hasn't caught onto the masses just yet... Just sayin yall, posting date of this video is only 1.5 years ago give or take so this here still has a lot of international clients about to come their way I'm thinking.
