OK. Sounds interesting. But what if after a few years the patient needs to have a cataract removed? Judging from the video with such a prosthesis, there is no access to the inside of the eye. How then to be?

I'm curious, say if later you need a cataracts operation or a vitrectomy or simply eye drops to dilate the pupil so the retina can be examined. How are those achieved? From what I understand, a cataracts operation requires drops to dilate the pupil followed by an incision through the edge of the cornea. Whilst a vitrectomy includes punching 3 holes through the sclera.
