same just received it today, cool phone
is the phone good as a daily phone and does the battery last a long time if i use the phone with the power saving and with 60hz screen? (i personaly want to buy this phone on the summer for gaming and also for daily usage)
With that kinda settings, the battery should last for a week, give or take

I have been using the stock usb C cable, and it gets the job done. Honestly, I never tried a Dock on this phone, and I am more curious than ever to seek out a compatible dock for rm 9 pro
What is the green line when you play games? Sorry i am new to this. Trying to buy this phone so I can make it exclusively as a "console" gaming by using gamepad then buy a normal phone for everyday use.
I did try to reproduce the green borderline, but no luck, which leads me to believe it's a one-off case, or may be I am missing something. But regardless of that, rm 9 pro is undoubtedly one of the best gaming phones, if not the best for the year 2024

I bought this phone last week but it heats up a lot after a few CODM games and my game play is becomes really slow. Am I not setting it up right or something? Should I feel actual air coming out of the fan because I don’t 😮. Thanks

Great video, quick question, do the fan clamps press any buttons on the phone? Like do they hit volume up/down or power?

Fan clamp overpasses the power button and has roughly quarter inch clearance, so there is no need to worry about accidental presses. Volume Rocker n Game Space launcher switch is fully accessible with absolutely no problem at all

I've got a couple questions regarding UI customization within Redmagic OS;
1: Can the notification icons be changed to monochromatic instead of the colorful ones?
2: Can the battery/data/wifi/etc icons be changed to the stock Android ones?
_I really hate it_ whenever OEM's force their ugly customized versions of Android UI/UX onto consumers rather than going with the stock Android look and feel and then most if not all customization's are under-the-hood. A bit of a tangent but for instance OnePlus over the last 2-3 years went from an almost entirely stock Android UI/UX to the bloated bogged down unnecessarily reworked crap it is today.

1. Yes, notification icons can be set to monochromatic. You have to go to settings >> color & shape >> preset. Over here, you can select monochromatic preset color
2. Yes, icons can be changed to the stock android. You have to again go to settings >> theme and personalization >> themes >> Android. Then, select the Android theme. You might notice subtle nuances on app icons look and feel, but I think it gets the job done

i heard there is a problem in the Red magic 9 pro where it disconnects your Sim card when you connect to Wi-fi ... have they fixed this yet?

Personally, I haven't seen any issues. I would be interested too to see if the issue is out in the wild and if there is any fix to it yet
There's one tech reviewer I've watched who advised against using a phone cooler on that phone because of condensation. Do you think it will be a problem in the long run?

Interesting enough. Personally I don't have any problems so far and I can't complain. I know for a fact that it gets super cold like an ice cube per se, and that's what it's meant for

@@sid_explains I think he mentioned that it's because there's an air vent for the fan and moisture could get inside while using a cooler. I haven't used a phone cooler before but saw from reviews that it can produce water droplets on the phone when it gets too cold.
I see where you coming from. It would be a nightmare if water droplets get sucked up in the air vent due to condensation. Again, personally, I haven't had any problems so far. If anything changes down the road, I will definitely update here
How do you cast it to a tv? Whenever I try to play on the TV it takes me to a full screen touch pad and I can't use the phone as a controller.

The issue is you landed on EXTENDED MODE for z-smart cast
To fix this - you would need to click the Z-CAST overlay button and then you should see two tabs, one says MIRROR mode and the other one says Extended MODE, you would then need to click MIRROR mode and then click VIRTUAL KEYBOARD option. Boom! You can even customize the gamepad mappings as per your needs or per game basis. Share your experience after you follow the steps. Happy Gaming!

@@sid_explainsTurns out the problem was that I was in game mode. When I entered the game via game mode it wouldn't give me the option of switching away from the touch pad, but launching it the standard way did.

I would personally go with RM 9 Pro, given its large battery capacity and the active cooling system, of course design n rgb lighting and whatnot. Again, oneplus 12 is great, too, in its own way. Good Luck, I am sure you will be happy with whichever you go for

If I were you, I would go with rm 9 pro considering it got the latest n the greatest hardware specs for the year 2024, like snapdragon 8 gen 3 proc.
If budget is the issue, then you go with oolder gen from the likes of rm 8s pro or asus rog 6

Battery life is overwhelmingly great. You could go for almost up to 2 days (even more) on a full charge if you do regular calls and text but gaming. sot gaming potentially gives over 12 hrs, even more depending on what games you play
@@sid_explains have you tested mobile data drain as well? I wonder how long that will last. Mine does about 4 to 5hrs with 4g which I think is terrible.
I personally haven't tested since i have a unlimited mobile data plan but definitely, it's a bandwidth hogger given what games you are playing and how much of a binge watching TH-cam/all things social media you are doing

I know it can run gta 5 on 1080p high graphics (idk how much fps it gets but I know is over 60fps) by using mobox emulation so I would say it can run rust but idk at what resolution and graphics settings

No, I haven't personally noticed any heat issues. Active cooling system is pretty robust, and you even have the option to switch to rapid cooling from notifications tray to meet your intense gaming sessions and whatnot

Kinda late here but my PC won't transfer files to my RM9pro it reads it but says it's empty anyone with same problem?
I just tried to reproduce the file sharing issue that you described, but no luck. Mine is working perfectly fine as expected. I suggest you try a different phone with the same usb c cable and see if it works. Also, make sure to select usb as a media transfer device aka MTP on your phone to make sure your phone is read by the PC for data transfer. Good luck.

@@sid_explains I figured it out 2 things I used a fast charge cable and downloaded cloud driver RM drivers for their mouse and keyboards. One of those fixed it thanks though 🙂

Personally, I had a smoothest experience over wireless zcast without any stutters whatsoever. You can even go for hardwired zcast for fps critical games or things of those nature, which I haven't tried myself yet, I would definitely try out one of these days
