So now i have the PR2 at Home and they Sound great for me. In the Highend they are a bit smoother and less crisp then the PR1 Pro so they are for most Songs less fatiguing for long Time Sessions!!!!!!! Both are great In Ears in my Opinion.
Thanks for explaining. My first IEM is the KZ ZS10 PRO x. The reason I bought it was not because I know about bass or midrange but because it has 5 drivers on each side, it was affordable, very available here where I'm from and that KZ is highly recommended by many. I got just this last week of June this year and I did not know that I need a USB C to 3.5mm that have a DAC because I thought that all USB C to 3.5mm are all the same. The sound was really different compared to the wireless earbuds and I noticed that when I am listening to videos in my laptop or phone while using the ZS10 pro X that I do not need to dial the volume up to clearly understand what they are saying in the videos. My wireless are not the high quality once but the mid ranged once like the Galaxy Buds FE and the Soundcore P40i. I might be buying the ZS10 pro 2 or the KZ you said that is good for vocals since I will be using this to watch youtube videos like yours. Thanks again I was researching what KZ to buy and what are the difference and have not seen any until your video pop up in my recommended videos.
Thanks for taking the time to share! I will say, I Like the ZAS for vocals because it helps my vocal to stand out above other instruments due to the mid range. I don't think i would prefer them for listening to talking videos on TH-cam. For that i may prefer something more neutral and less "excited". Good luck!
Anybody have suggestions for a first set of IEMs for a guitarist for live use, max budget $100? I've been looking at KZ, CCA, Tin, Simgot, BASN Truthear, Thieaudio...my head is ready to explode! Any thoughts? I don't think I'd like something overly bass-heavy...I want to make sure I get as good a band mix as possible.
I ended up getting the Truthear Hexa. When I looked up sound profiles of various IEMs, it was one of the few that was more neutral. For playing guitar in a live band setting, I thought that would be a good place to start, as opposed to an emphasis on certain parts of the sound spectrum. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to use them, as we were having very limited rehearsal time, so I couldn't get them set up and tested, and then we had a parting of the ways. So whenever I join my next band, I'll give them a run.
Nice review ,on ,the kz zzz, iems...Got into, iems ,after a tws ,bender....gotta bunch of iems ,now..mostly budget iems, Tinhifi 3 plus ,is the most i paid for an iem..Anywho!!! HI Tyler thank you for your informative post. A begiinner keyboard/vocal musician with backing music, drummer and bass guitar. What KZ earphone would you suggest being a vocalist /keyboard. Thank you Ron
Jeah... just buy one of the 5 latest KZ models if you are in to natural Sounding IEMs, with engaging treble and controlled bass, before those models... They sound almost the same, Bloated Bass and metallic sound, I hope this comment helps The in ears I talk about are the PR1 Pro, ZVX, D-Fi, LingLong, PR2 the models that aren't In this list are mediocre at best, just in comparison ofc, I have tried around 23 KZ models and they crushed their own products with the models I mention, they are just 10 steps up, getting on territory of $80 all the way up to $200 for less than $60
thank you Tyler i'm looking to buy adapter to have 1/4 jack so I can plug my monitor out on the board consol i can't find the right connector any idear
Well you could plug them in anywhere that you would usually used headphones. They just give a better representation of what’s going on for performance monitoring. I plug them into my wireless receiver. Sometimes I plug them into my iPhone!
Im planning to buy my first iem for playing guitar in a band, i usually go direct to PA and just wanted to monitor my own sound so i can mix my tone and let the PA balance my volume to the stage band. What model can you recommend to me? Thanks for anyone to answer this!
Hi there, I am a drummer and bass player and am tying to venture out into iems coming from sure se425 but they are a bit old. What would you recommend?
Try the PR1 Pro. These are punchy at the Bass and crisp at the Highend!!!!! I love them.I also ordered the PR2 for testing. Hope they will arrive soon!!!!!
Kz is a good starting point, but I think there are better options out there. I wish they didn’t angle the 2 pins wrong on the zvx. They made it so it pulls out of your ear, rather than angle into it lol. Ooops! D-fi is excellent, og pr2 is excellent bang for buck, zvx is great tonality and timbre.
@@tylerrayhughes u might want to try their latest release of planar driver. KZ (x HBB) PR2. The price is slightly more than ZS10 Pro X. Probably worth the money.
@@faisalfirdausiinn4708hell yeah the og pr2 was excellent. I haven’t tried the silent “revision” but I’ve heard it’s treble is peaky. Black mesh one is pretty great though. It reminds me of the s12 pro, for $40.
Have you try ZAR? I'm stuck between ZAX and ZAR models. I listen metal/rock music mostly and playing drums. I can't choose, pls help :D PS: By the way, I have been using the zsn pro x model for 5 years, I want to switch to a new pair due to upgrade.
@@tylerrayhughes In the extreme budget range (Sub $50) I like the Kinera Celeste Gumiho. My favorite currently is the Kiwi Ears Quintet. I also have the Quartet but like the Quintet better. I have others like the Chu, a couple of KZ cheapies ,and the Wan'er but they aren't really that good to my ears. I don't have any really expensive IEM's. I'm not really an audiophile just a music lover.
@sergioguzman2065 they have a bad rap. Something about all drivers not working or something? I heard a bit about it before I got my kz zs10 pro xs last year but I honestly love them.

Greetings brother from ya boi Brando Clark! Much love Tyler-GREAT CHANNEL, super solid info, video quality, etc! Rock on t-moneyyy
What up!
This was the video I was waiting for. There are way too many IEM out there!
Hopefully this helps you pick what you need! Can’t go wrong with KZ!
@@tylerrayhughes is there a longer replacement cable you might recommend? I bought the one you mentioned but it is coming up short.
@@Jedmanuel91 check the KBEAR rhyme cable. I’m not sure the exact length but that is certainly another upgraded cable.
@@tylerrayhughes looked at that one and a few other and all are 1.2 meters in length. Guess I’ll keep the ones you recommended.

What do you think is the best for electric guitar player?
ZAS
Did you compare it to shure se535 maybe? What do you think is it worth to spend so much more?

How does the ZAS compare to ZS12 PRO X for a female vocalist?
Can’t speak on zs12 but female vocalists love the ZAS

KZ has a problem with a sticky substance leaking from the earpieces. That is what happened to my KZ-DQ6.
I have not encountered this
Exactly what happened to mine too. Leaking a sticky substance. Also the KZ-DQ6.

I can’t really tell a difference but from what I understand yes. It’s really about the strength of the cable. The new cables are very tough.
