- This is so powerful and moving. Joe White is a Christian speaker and dramatist who has performed many dramas at Promise Keepers conferences. His delivery is powerful and breathtaking, and the message comes across very clearly. He is a true man of God. This is a drama he did in Dallas in 2003, focusing on the crucifixion, and on the dichotomy between the two thieves on the crosses on either side of Jesus, how their hearts were so different. I had to break this into two parts, since it's longer than 10 minutes, TH-cam's limit. If you ask me, this performance is far more outstanding than any performance I have ever seen that won an Academy Award. Be sure to watch Part 2. It contains the real message he is trying to convey.
Sad what has been going on at Kamp Kanakuk. After 20 years of prayer for my family and being the only Christian, my dad finally went to Promise Keepers and saw Joe White. It saddens me to see the news about Kamp Kanakuk and the sexual abuse of children that Joe knew about. You can't be the director of an organization with so many reports of inappropriate sexual activities and behaviors between leaders and children and not know what has gone on. As a Christian leader, I am becoming more and more ashamed of these Christian "leaders" who continue to hide sexual sin. Stand up and speak for TRUTH. Christ reigns Supreme, but these incidents continue to go against the power of the Gospel that people so despaeately need.

I love it. I haven't been to a promise keepers conference since 1999. so, as you can tell, I've missed some. Not that i wasn't commited just like you were saying, there has not been a conference near me in like 6 years. the last one, I had to take my brother back to the airport, because he was visiting the LA area because he was on military leave.

@chrysalidebleueable Daniella, Promise Keepers is a large organization for Christian men. They sponsor conferences featuring speakers, music, skits, teaching, etc, held at large arenas and stadiums across the U.S. Of course, women are welcome to attend, too, but the whole event is targeted for men, both believers and non-believers. Yes, it is a very powerful and moving event. To be in the midst of tens of thousands of men of God is an overwhelming feeling. I encourage everyone to go.

I did behind the scenes production from PK for just shy of a decade back in the early to late 2000’s. During that time I encountered SEVERAL men who clearly had their priorities out of whack. Joe White was never one of them.
As “hired heathens”, we were typically not part of the “men of god” with some special powers to communicate with him. I’ve worked with some of the largest rock stars of the last 40-50 years, but Joe never treated us any different-he preferred to be around those that worked to help facilitate his message. We had to haul around like 30 of those prepped crosses, which were a giant pain in the neck.
I’ll finish by saying: On July 2, 2003, the brothers that were responsible for not only teaching me the show-biz craft, but took me in as a protege were killed 2 in a massive fireworks explosion that even 20 years later is very difficult to come to terms with. The next week we had a show in Pittsburg, and my responsibility had virtually doubled. I was so nervous to do the men who thought me everything as proud as I can, and right before load-out Joe White came to with tears in his eyes and told me that I had these tools within me all along and no matter what happened Brian and Gene know that you’re going to be watching over the flock from now on. I lost it.
Joe White is a one of a kind man who truly cares about others, and I’ll never forget the thoughtfulness he extended me during the time I needed it most-even to this day. God bless you, Joe.
I never worked behind the scenes for Promise Keepers. Of all things instead I worked behind the scenes at the Women of Faith conferences. Go figure. Why would a man be called to work at a women's conference? Well, the way I was called is that they were looking for "supermen." You know those little goodie bags they put on every seat? Those bags are stored in large boxes, which are very heavy. Someone needs to haul those boxes up the steps of the arena. That's where supermen are needed. And there was another need. As you know, there are concession booths. When the conference is in progress they are run by the women. But when the conference starts, the women want to be in attendance. Well, even when the conference is live, there are many woman who want to sneak away to the concession booths when they are not so busy. So they needed a man to be there. So I was there. Wow, those women can spend! I remember one time during a break I was lounging in one of the hallways, and the camera zoomed in on me and put me on the big screen, with a note that said "He's single, ladies!" I held up my left hand and pointed to my ring finger. Um, nope. Anyway, I really enjoyed serving at the Women of Faith conferences. Barry Walsh (Sheila Walsh' husband), the director of Women of Faith, even offered me a job. I seriously considered it, but it would have required too much travel.

I have ever heard of promise keepers - this preaching is so anointed and powerful - There is a choice to make - this day I call heaven and earth as witness against you that I set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him....Deuteronomy 30 v 19 - 20
