I definitely remember this! I haven’t seen this in a long time. I always wanted to learn auto body repair, but my mom always said “ A garage is no place for a girl.” Oh well, no worries. Thank you soo much for another awesome upload!😊
I remember seeing this back in the day it gave a look at what it was like in an auto garage when they were fixing cars and what they did to make them look like new again. We have come a long way since then and things are a lot more different now than they were back then. But it only shows them working on the door and not the other part that was also scrapped.
Interesting that car body and paint repair has become much more advanced - but time-wise, this repair which looks like it was done during a lazy summer afternoon, would today take weeks to repair. Not to mention the insurance claims estimates, re-estimates and supplement approvals that would have to happen.

I saw this several times as a kid. I always wondered what type of car it was. It looks like a Fiat.

Cool
That happened to my parents car when the door needed to be repaired. Thankfully my dad wasn't hurt or injured!
I remember seeing this segment. This scene was from Episode #1112 (Season 9) which aired on February 14, 1978.
