Ahhhhh, yes. Mumbai street food is THE BEST. We lived in Mumbai for two years and will be returning again soon (currently in Rajasthan) and this has us SO excited. Sev puri is my FAVORITE. We're really enjoying y'all's videos as we set off to make some of our own while we're in this incredible country. All the best!

My fav pani puri, and the BEST ever sev puri, is from a guy up in Pali Naka near Janata. 2. Haven’t tried this particularly pav bhaji but Chowpatty pav bhaji is one of Pete’s favs. 3. Bademiyan is a must! Nothing beats eating off the trunks of cars late at night. 4. Leopold- yes, a classic! Slightly overrated imo. But a nice spot for a pint when in Colaba. 5. I don’t know this one! Will have to try! 6. Ordered in from Persian Darbar quite frequently. Agree on the biryani. 7. Mahesh! SOOOO good. I prefer this to Trishna. 8. Been to Bandra’s Mini Punjab. 9. Britannia! The BEST. I haven’t been since Boman passed. Last time I was there was Feb 2019 :( 10. Don’t know this one! Will have to try! 11. Mohammed Ali Road is my FAV. The chota kebab, especially! I went to India for the first time back in 1985 and was last there just before covid hit. I was wondering whether or not to go back later this winter, Starting in one of my all time favorite cities, the one you are currently in. Seeing the lights and the food and the mayhem and knowing well the various scents in the air as well I think I may have decided...time to check flights.
You don’t go hungry in India no matter your budget. The country is self sustainable and in most cases isn’t reliant on other countries. Plus you can get on the beer 🍺 - cheers 😊
Just FYI, Most foreigners try Indian Street food and say they got food poison. But the real problems is you guys eat lots of different street food in a single day. Being Indian our stomach can't bare it then offcourse you guys feel sick. By the way you guys doing well. Love your videos 😍.
Pav is literally the word for bread in Portuguese...and Bombay picked up this particular style of bread from the colonisers! Great round of street food! Great picks by Kavita
Pav is a adaptation of Pão (Portuguese bread) but pav is far far more better than original. On the other hand, As per locals Pav came into existence being called Pav because the dough is being kneaded by paon.
@@sriramr2437 the pav wasn't introduced via Bombay, it was introduced through a breakthrough in creating the bread for the Portuguese in Goa and when the Goans migrated to Bombay for work is when this bread became immensely popular here! That is also the reason Goans in Bombay are called Ma ka pav. It was because of the phrase in Konkani - Ma ka pav di! Which translates to - give me bread!

If you are visiting Calcutta(Kolkata) do visit Park Street area during Christmas. Do visit the bakery shop name Flurys. Visit North Bengal to find snowy mountains ( Around Darjeeling ) but it will be very cold. If you want beaches head to extreme south of Bengal will find of Bay of Bengal. India is amazing world biggest 140 cr democracy..a country which has 4500 different types of food ...every 200 km landscape changes.. every 250 km language changes every 300 km coustom changes 250 km dressing changes every 1 km different religion people stay together in this country...attend at least 300 wedding at 42 yr and many different religion never miss it ....its so colorful extremely colorful...don't miss for anything...their r so many different religion all most every in world u will find in india ....this country never stops to amazed me its so vibrant and so diverse still united ...crazy from Himalayas to beautiful beaches to grand canyon like ghats...and importantly smiling faces every were only place I want to live and die in this world place like no other.
Thank you FOOD GODs, for blessing us with open arms. Indians can cook any food of world map better then its origin with their customizations and additions they will revolutionize an entire dish with new authenitc mouth watering flavors without a doubt.
Try finishing with Sweet Paan (beetle leaf)🍃..... since sada(plain) paan would be too much for you. There is a strong peppermint flavour one called Meenakshi. Try it once. Varanasi is famous for its paan.

Pav is a adaptation of Pão (Portuguese bread) but pav is far far more better than original. On the other hand, As per locals Pav came into existence being called Pav because the dough is being kneaded by paon.

@@sriramr2437 the pav wasn't introduced via Bombay, it was introduced through a breakthrough in creating the bread for the Portuguese in Goa and when the Goans migrated to Bombay for work is when this bread became immensely popular here! That is also the reason Goans in Bombay are called Ma ka pav. It was because of the phrase in Konkani - Ma ka pav di! Which translates to - give me bread!

India is amazing world biggest 140 cr democracy..a country which has 4500 different types of food ...every 200 km landscape changes.. every 250 km language changes every 300 km coustom changes 250 km dressing changes every 1 km different religion people stay together in this country...attend at least 300 wedding at 42 yr and many different religion never miss it ....its so colorful extremely colorful...don't miss for anything...their r so many different religion all most every in world u will find in india ....this country never stops to amazed me its so vibrant and so diverse still united ...crazy from Himalayas to beautiful beaches to grand canyon like ghats...and importantly smiling faces every were only place I want to live and die in this world place like no other.

Try finishing with Sweet Paan (beetle leaf)🍃..... since sada(plain) paan would be too much for you. There is a strong peppermint flavour one called Meenakshi. Try it once. Varanasi is famous for its paan.
