- The fifth round of this year's Pro Motocross Championship was the best yet! Close battles in both classes at the 2024 Southwick Motocross, plus X Games in California, gave our guys plenty to talk about for this episode of the Kickstart Podcast.
For the dude on the top left. This right here is what drives the fans crazy. Haiden has never said vocally that he struggles in the sand. What he did say was he felt fast in the sand last year at the Wick but he just got too tired in the 2nd moto. He's also said over and over that he feels like he's a good sand rider. You guys just follow the media narrative. Kept hearing how the Wick is a bad track based off of his past. I mean what past data do you have. He's only raced there as a pro in his rookie season and went 4 to 10 for 5th overall and took the red plate there.

Bingo. Been saying this for a while. If Hunter wants to be successful he’ll think more about himself and less about his brothers success 👍🏻
Just go look at the comments on any post about him, whether it be vital or racerx not to mention all the youtube accounts talking about how he was 7 seconds slower than anstie lol im not a deegan homer but the kid is gnarly and i personally have seen so much trash talk about the kid
Gotta love it. Haiden goes 1-2 and now everyone is like “who’s doubting him?” . lol. There was enough commentary in the media & in the comments doubting him.
Cooksey was the only person that said it, he said it was 6 seconds, and we found out yesterday he lied and the text he got was that he was 4 seconds slower. Everyone was calling cooksey out for clinging to one questionable source. Any doubt was coming from his results at a regional there and last year, substantial concrete source to base such doubt on
There are a ton of people on pod cast thought he couldn't ride sand as good has say vialle and he wasn't good in sand. Plus, how many people say ansti had a good chance to win!! HAHA....

85% percent of the moto media said this was Tom’s chance to get back into the championship with a win because Haiden struggled in the sand last year.

As long as he stays healthy, it shouldn't be a problem. I can't imagine Haiden having a career like the Martin's or Hampshire.
I wanna see him vs Jett in one race before that tho, like the old monster cup where 250 guys would jump up to the 450 class. Or maybe jump up for the finale of he clinches early

haiden is an awsome rider. Love how he's progressing this year especially at thunder valley and now the wick. Wants to keep learning and improving.
It’s wild that X games are in Ventura now. I grew up in ojai just 10 minutes up the road and know Ventura very well.

Deegan's weakest part of his riding is sand. He is still the best rider in the class, all great riders have weakness. But he worked on it and it shows. Bring up his name on youtube and the pitch forks come out lmao
Umm no, his weakness is in supercross(not the sand sections in SX). He has been riding sand since he was 8, sand is no issue for him at all. Exactly why do you think it's his weakness? He has never been slow in sand, ever.
