Oh mustafa you have such an aura of authority, you were loved and respected, and would have been a fantastic sultan... BUT this is exactly why Mustafa was executed. The jannisarries had a huge part in sealing this mans fate. How many times can someone be warned only for those warnings to never be heeded????
I say the same thing but it’s always “he should have had faith in his son and trusted him” After what he saw/ heard with his grandfather, absolutely tf not
When he is giving away gold to the Janissary’s when they came back from the Italian campaign without a win and on other occasions as well then of course they’ll side with mustafa and this was his biggest mistake. Of course everyone knew that the Janissary were on his side but these kinds of acts and this extra support is what I think made suleiman insecure of his son and what led to his execution cause he could’ve been a reason for the Janissary’s to revolt and possibly overthrow his father from the throne
The problem is the love people had for him and theire is nothing he can do to stop that even if he told the jannisarries to go back suleiman will stil hate the fact that they came to welcome him in the first place and will take it against him
In real life, as in the show, Mustafa encouraged this kind of behavior of the Janisseries. The problem arose when the Janisseries openly disobeyed the Sultan's commander and Grand Vizier and left to go and pay tribute to Mustafa in Amaysa and during a campaign.. That Mustafa didn't discourage them, instead he accepted them and reveled in their worship of him, all helped lead to his self-inflicted tragedy.
What would you have him do? If he refused them, he'll lose their support, and if he went along with the act, he'll anger his father. Its a lose lose situation.
If he refused, he would not lose their support. Not true at all. His father will be angry at him no matter what. suleiman looks for reasons to execute Mustafa.
Surely Ali Ağa would know better than to do that. Putting the Şehzade’s life in risk by doing that, especially with Rustem Paşa as Grand Vizier. But respect for Mustafa for actually going with the Janissaries even though he knew that could get him in trouble. Can’t disappoint his subjects though ya know 😉 😂
In my opinion, he should've humbly thanked them for their loyalty and sent them back on their own way. Like quit making things worse for the shezade that you guys want to see next on the throne. Come on Ali aga....use your head before Mustafa loses his🤦♀️
But disappoint the sultan and created suspicion on the sultan's mind. Tasticale even reminded him of the intrepretation the sultan would have, but mustafa insisted and preferred the the janissaries love for him
Suleiman got an amazing successor, imagine if mustafa became the sultan, the ottomans would had became so powerful but the downfall began with Selim ascended
It wouldn't change anything,if they had army to capture Wien, they would capture it.They were overstreched to doo anything.Suleyman was 1529 in front of the city, then why didn't he try captured it before 1566?And he wasn't the last "smart sultan" there were smart sultans in 17st. but they could't doo anything bcs all money went on Atlantic ant they captured too many.Maby they would slow down empire decay had they turned to Republic earlyer.
@Leo Hurrem is back but still married to Suleyman. You cannot have her Leo. You can choose, "The Wandering" Gulfem or, like what you said, Mahidumb! Hahah
If hurrem was in mahidevran place. She was not overconfident and proudly. She will definitely firmly and more worried because it will sign to closer her son death if suleiman know it. She will not let her son over than sultan because it will threat to suleiman throne. Mahidevran just let her son did again and again mistake
I somehow don’t feel bad for Mustafa . He lived on his terms , loved , respected till his last day . I think that’s a life worth living & it doesn’t matter he died early … he should have killed his brothers or gotten killed anyways .
its that he was betrayed by his father how he shouted father when he was struggling to live being beaten and complete change of that treacherous father . how his mother asked him not to go to save his father from assacination but he went and received death as punishment
power is a game of blood . he didnt have the thirst for power bcz its all worldy things and he didnt care for them even though he was more powefull htn his father . he chosed the riight way as all this wouldnt help him in the day of judgemnt
What a fool is mustafa? He has the Army's support, he should have simply marched on instanbul & taken the throne His father was never going to give it to him over hurrems sons.

@@nicholascage7546 you are speaking in hypotheticals. How could you possibly know that Mustafa would lose their support??? You're just grasping at straws here. By kindly thanking them and carrying on the journey without the soldiers is the proper thing to do. He was literally advised by his most trusted companion to do as such. There is zero indications that if he denied them accompanying him that would no longer support Mustafa. That's just a very stupid theory in your head that holds zero substance.

I always thought those yellow things on Mustafa’s clothes were spots. Never liked it lol looks weird and not majestic enough for a Şehzade
I seriously have never liked this outfit either lololol... i thought i was the only one who thought it looked goofy 🤪 🤣
how dare Ali ağa is saying him sultan şehzade. he got killed because of them
that was among titles used during the ottoman empire to adress a prince and it meant sultan imperial prince .
