There are so many different mentalities in this world. I don’t think I would be able to handle such a journey. Being alone for that long, doing the same thing seeing no end. My respect as of the moment that I posted this comment I see you are in Samoa. Hope you a strong and healthy last big stretch of your journey.
Awesome Tom. Very interesting and informative. You had me glued to the screen. Your courageous ambition and determination toward this adventurous undertaking is truly awe inspiring. We will be following you on your journey and, of course, we wish you a safe and successful passage home.
Under the rowing seat or sideways you can easily adapt an reverse osmosys pump for fresh water. It operate at only four bars. You are great and inspireying man. Thank you very much!
Quick suggestion. Get rid of all the screw type O ring clamps I saw in the film. They can slice skin with too much ease. At the very least cover them with a protective wrap to prevent any injuries at sea. Good luck.
I watched the video before reading your comment, and the sharp edges of the hose clamps was the only risk that my non-tradesman, non-sailor head picked up on, having sliced myself on these before now on my little Hartley 18. It is a big challenge that Tom is on, and I wish him every success. More importantly to me, the satisfaction and memories down the track after completion of the journey, having done this all himself. Great determination and courage on display. 2, 4, 6, 8, Tom!👍
Hi. Just add sime solid neoptrene suit, dive chanmail suit, silid lufe jacket and raft an the best watertight epirb. You maked me very happy. Thank you!
DISASTER AND EMERGENCY Australian solo rower Tom Robinson rescued by P&O cruise ship crew after boat overturns in Pacific The 24-year-old was found clinging to his upturned vessel after activating his distress beacon overnight. The answer to ur question is no, it won't self right
@@stephenmyers4319the vessel is self righting when the hatches are sealed in the cabin. Unfortunately the main hatch was ajar when the boat was upturned.
Better do not do it at all. Its very dangerous. I had readed the "Naufragie Volontaire" by Alain Bombard. The boat its a marvell. Better do some cabotage. The boat its pure and simple an miracle. Thank you very much.
I admire your courage and your ingenuity but worry that you are going to experience forces that will be overwhelming despite your preparations. In addition to the grueling physical challenge will be an even more grueling psychological one. Being alone for so long is hazardous to one's mental well being. I had a job in a remote area where I had little human contact for weeks at a time. My employer demanded that I return to a social environment after no more than three weeks because people who didn't had problems. Your isolation will be far longer and more complete. The isolation, the tedium of the paddling, the frequently interrupted sleep are going to be an unpleasant combination. What about the risk of falling overboard? What about the risk of being hit by a ship? What about the possibility that your little boat will simply be flipped over? You are young, strong and smart but I worry that you find yourself in serious trouble.
Thank God you survived 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Thanks for this, I admire your outlook. Is the boat self righting? What's your loaded displacement? Do you have dedicated ballist?
