    Thank you for always loving our videos! There was no problem when reviewing the video at the time of upload. However, suddenly copyright issues were raised and the music was unavoidably modified. Please understand if the last narration part is not good because of the re-editing. Thank you for always watching our videos!

      One tip I can provide is trying to lower the volume of the sound clip in question so it does not get caught or have another layer of music over it to mask the song. Hoping you guys get big. Im a new subscriber from Bacolod! Hope you guys visit my city too!

    School here combines studies and recreations we were taught to socialize with fellow students. Prom nights are the best where girls wear beautiful gowns, and boys wears tuxedos. The entry dance is Rigodon de Honor, after that students dance their first requested dance. I still remember the gown I wore and my first dance, though I'm a grandmother now.

    Dumaguete City in central Philippines is an educational center. With very good schools. It is also very scenic, bucolic, and very safe and peaceful. Although an urban center, it is also very traditional and rural. A good mix of the old and the new. It has good beaches and resorts. Many Korean students have enjoyed their stay there and asked their parents to vacation and unwind there.

      @@hellophilippines513 In the Philippines, females who come of age on their 18th birthday will have a debut celebration which practically means introducing them to society as an adult of legal age. Celebrating the debut depends on what theme the birthday celebrant wants and the budget, too. It is a big deal for most Filipinos and even poor families celebrate it according to their budget and what kind of party or celebration it is going to be. Some will be grand some will be simple. Up to you.

      @@hellophilippines513 so your daughter is only 15 years old are you still following a + 1 year added to your age?. Yes there is a tradition in the PH when a girl(daughter) reach their legal age,which is 18 years old, the family will celebrate her 18th birth day together with her families and friends. This is a big event for the celebrant for entering womanhood and a once in a lifetime experience for the debutant. Your Filipino friends/neighbors will help you to organized once your daughter will turn 18 years old, and I’m sure once this happened your daughter will be very happy to experience this kind of Filipino culture..

      Oh...don't worry a lot of Filipinos knows how.
      You will have your choices either you do it at your place or
      rent a venue for it. All you need is someone to organize the party. You could find a lot of organizers in the internet...and they will take care of everything even advice you more of what to do and which party package is best.

  • @athenagranados8384
    @athenagranados8384 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Geez! Such stiffs in formals! Beautiful themed gowns in full regalia! The parents must've spent a fortune on them! Love that boy in white suit and the girl in glittering black flowing gown. A prom is the crowning glory of a teenager's coming of age and like a rite of passage, it is a teener's make or break moment! Filipinos have been influenced by Spanish and American cultures which are steeped in traditions like annual balls and alumni reunions. This is an awakening for both parents and children. In my time (55 years ago) we wore what was in vogue then - the A-line cut in our mini-dresses was a take from Twiggy's influence. Hosed legs wore Cuban heels or sling-backed open toes. The women wore beehive hairdos with ribbons while the men wore blackties and suits. Makeup was the most basic as it was impractical to wear a heavy one in a non-airconditioned gym. There were no hotel bookings then for big social activities. The university gym was free and big enough for huge gatherings. Thank you for sharing your pretty girl's first prom experience. I could relate to your excitement. In my time, the children were largely unchaperoned as there were marshalls patrolling the venue. Troublemakers and gate crashers were kept out by field marshalls at the entry/exit points which was a good walk away from the gym. By and large, the dances were a huge success!

    Looks like the prom in the province with the formal waltzes are more similar to the European ball tradition copied from the Vienna Balls. The ones I grew up with in Metro Manila are more similar to the American proms, no formal dances just a party in fancy dresses. But this seems to be a combination of both 😊 You should also experience a debut party, similar to a Mexican quinceniera but we do ours when we turn 18 years old.

Fortunately, it all ends well. Happy to see Juwon and Hyewon experience what prom is. Also, they're blessed to held the event inside a closed hall. I wish you the best in all your experiences in the Phil. I live in the US and miss the Phil. I am admiring what my country has to offer through your new set of eyes and new perspective. Gamsahamnida! BTW I've been to Korea many times to shop, eat and enjoy the beauty of your country.

    Despite Hollywood influence, PH remains conservative. Young Filipinos are enjoined to be well-behaved during proms. Their parents and teachers still remind them to behave well. So that proms remain some form of a rite of passage where young people initiate themselves to greater maturity. This is as it should be. Am glad Koreans studying in PH find the prom of educational and practical value. It is a ceremony that’s marked with maturity.

    New subscriber from Cebu City. This is a very interesting video from the point of view of Koreans about prom in the Phils. During this Holy Week 2023, hope you can do a vlog about experiencing Filipino traditions related to holy week in Dumaguete or other towns outside of the city. It's interesting to see see what you think of Filipino holy week activities. More power to your channel. 😀
