  • Cancer Villages: The shocking extent of Chinese pollution
    For downloads and more information visit: www.journeyman....
    The Chinese government claims it's making serious efforts to clean up pollution. But as this horrifying report shows, much of their 'success' has involved simply moving their toxic industries out of sight.
    "It's risky, but we have no other choice: We only have this river," Wu Zhuliang tell us from his remote farm in South Western China. For Wu and his family their reliance on the river, which runs yellow with pollution, has had terrible consequences. They buried his son just over a month ago. He had been diagnosed with two types of cancer, Leukaemia and Thymoma, and had been in so much pain he said to his mother, "open the window and I'll jump out". The water from Wu's river was found to have levels of chromium, a known carcinogen, "200 times higher than the national standard". Ma Tianjie from Greenpeace tells us it's so toxic that, "simply touching the water, it could make your skin itchy. It's a very, very serious problem." All across rural China the same stories abound. The government is cleaning up the cities, but often the most toxic industries are simply moved to rural areas where regulations are lax. Chinese farmers are now four times more likely to die from liver cancer than the global average. "The government is trying to find a way to get rid of this huge pile of historically accumulated waste but they are struggling."

      It all comes down to who is paying who, money talks in China and the government officials are paid off to look the other way while the factory owners get FAT and they don't give a damn about the people they are killing

    We always blame the big companies and other countries for pollution, but we are also at fault (even me); the little things that we do, such as driving cars when not necessary and other means of better transportations exist, all add up and impacts the environment heavily. Granted a lot of us are busy and sometimes don't notice or are too busy to notice the damage we are doing, we should all take little steps to improve the environment on our own. Some (not all!) of us probably don't turn off the lights for one minute on Earth Day (even if its easy) or forget to turn off the light when we leave a room OR just toss a piece of trash on the ground instead of throwing it away, but by fixing those small mistakes, we can help in our own way. You may think its a little thing, but it all adds up. Fun fact (not really fun..): If you leave gum outside on the street, birds often think that's food, eat it, and choke to death. Fun Fact 2: If leave a plastic bag outside, it doesn't decompose, and if it travels to lakes or oceans, fishes can eat it. People can eat these fishes, which has unhealthy substances from the plastic bags that they eat inside them. Pretty much, if people litter plastic bags outside, then it can end up back in our food. Please repost this to spread this. :)

      FORMULATED MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX WILL CAPTURE THAT BLACK CARBON SPEWING FROM THE WORLDS INDUSTRIAL SMOKESTACKS
      The solution for capturing carbon was discovered in my lab and candle shop over 40 years ago. I knew back then that this was going to come to this day. I had to search for the answer and did. The heat loss from a smokestack can be forced or harnessed into a large tank containing hot liquid microcrystalline petroleum wax. The heat will keep the wax in a molten state which facilitate the carbon to be absorbed when combined with the wax. Carbon when mixed with wax reacts like a dye. The wax-carbon amalgamation will result in a black wax solution thereby making it impossible for the carbon to escape into the environment while in a liquid state. Other toxic particles are also captured in the wax settling at the bottom of the tank as a sludge. A sludge release valve is located at the bottom of the tank. After the sludge is removed more wax is replaced in the tank working something like a toilet. The sludge becomes a byproduct that can be used as an additive to asphalt for roads or used for cocooning nuclear waste materials for long-term safe burial. The entropy of the Earth has been increasing at a startling rate since the beginning of the industrial revolution caused mainly by the carbon that is released into the atmosphere. Government scientists have failed to stop and prevent carbon pollution from entering the environment. This problem can only worsen until a solution is found before this problem becomes irreversible. It has been discovered that formulated wax has been shown to be the only answer to this problem.
      PREVENTING SPREADING RADIATION:
      This formulated wax will also help prevent the spread of radiation such as preventing the escape of Plutonium dust particles from nuclear reactors or from structures or buildings housing radioactive materials. In 1994 This method was successfully demonstrated on the Sarcophagus of Chernobyl's blown-out reactor # 4 that was leaking Plutonium dust particles through open seems. In 1995 formulated wax tape was used to cocoon radioactive metal that had spat out of the reactor at the time of the explosion for safe long-term burial. In 1993 a wax membrane method was used in the yard of an abandoned house about five miles from Chernobyl to demonstrate how to reclaim radioactive contaminated territories for re-cultivation.
      I have been researching wax for solving mankind created environmental problems since 1969. As I aged, I discovered many other uses for wax such as making candles or replicas of people's hands. This led to coating the hand castings with latex rubber. After the latex had cured, I inserted latex rubber tubing a quarter of an inch tubing in the tips of each finger that was sealed with the latex. After the latex had cured, I was able to pull the end of the tubing that caused the fingers to contract. By pulling the ends of all five tubs the hand would close or grip and was able to pick up things such as a pencil or jelly beans just like a normal hand would do. The end result would act like a normal hand. I was able to color the hand to match the color tone of the hand that I replicated. The end result was a prosthesis hand. Through the years I have discovered many other uses of formulated wax for solving environmental problems: Here is a list of confirmed uses since 1969.
      OTHER USES FOR SOLVING POLLUTION PROBLEMS USING WAX:
      • Remove oil spills from dry or wet sand, soil, water, ice This method was demonstrated for the Canadian government in 1974 to remove oil from a beach on Passage Island. This method was demonstrated to the US Coast Guard on two occasions, one in Hawaii and the other in the state of Texas demonstrated to the Canadian Coast Guard on two occasions. Oil can be removed from beach sand as though it was a giant carpet More demos were shown to the Canadian press on three occasions.
      • Preventing radiation leaking from reactors, buildings, and storage facilities. This method was used to prevent Plutonium dust particles from escaping into the environment from open cracks and seams on the Sarcophagus of Chernobyl's blown out reactor # 4 in 1994
      • Cocooning asbestos coated pipes wiring for safe removable This was demonstrated in the basement of an apt building that has 319 feet of loose asbestos
      • Cocooning radioactive waste for a long term safe burial. This method was demonstrated in Chernobyl by removing a 4” x 5 ‘ rusting metal tubing that was buried and coating half the tubing with a special microcrystalline wax and then re buried.
      • Removing radioactive contaminated hot spots from soil surfaces approx. 4 feet square in Chernobyl in 1995
      • Preventing uranium mine tailing particles from becoming airborne in 1987 by laying a wax membrane on the mine tailing surface in Elliot Lake Ontario.
      • Preventing radon gas from entering into homes or buildings demonstrated on three homes having very high Radon levels where 95% of the Radon was blocked.
      • Preventing crushed coal dust particles from escaping moving open rail car trains was demonstrated in 1975 by spraying hot microcrystalline wax on the exposed coal surface to prevent the coal particles from becoming airborne while the train was in motion.
      • Preventing fly or bottom ash pile dust particles from becoming airborne Removing bunker oil, diesel fuel, gasoline transformer oil demonstrated for Ontario Hydro in Kinston Ontario in 1991

      +toddviv It's changing as we speak, they have a deadline to meet to clean up, and we all know when Chinese do something they fucking do it, already 800 billion is spent on environmental protection since 2011 and it's increasing every year.
      See before 2013-2014 it was easy for factories to break the law for a while before getting caught, they had time to pocket lots of money and the fines were too small, but since 2013 they put out way stricter regulation rules and invested over 100 billion in that department of controlling the industries.

    • @toddviv
      @toddviv 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vincent Deschenes chinese people are good but they government well not the best are they. However politicians everywhere should be strictly monitored and scrutinised.

    • @lrn_news9171
      @lrn_news9171 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +toddviv Maybe the government doesn't care about its people in the sense where he has feelings for them, obviously right? But it does care about something else...
      What we can absolutely be sure of is they fucking care about the ECONOMY no argument here.
      Considering The direction it was heading, it was easy to see an inevitable collapse coming that would be beyond repair.
      So right now, CCP are shaking in their boots, if they do nothing, it's bye bye economy, the only chance they have is doing something about it, at least that way they have a good chance, that is, if they didn't start too late...
      Politicians are completely fully aware of where the country is heading, more so than you or some news media, They have it in their fucking hands, are they gonna let it slip and become a total failure? I highly doubt it, if they really care about the economy, as it's already pretty obvious they do, their goal is to be the number one economy in the world, they will take the only chance they have, and that is a transformation into a consumer economy and become less reliant on major manufacturing, exporting resources etc and do exactly what they are doing with the 800 billion they have already spent, on more eco-friendly alternatives and renewable energy and gradually get rid of coal heating and adding strict regulation to polluting industries, I gotta say, the future doesn't look all that bad, I think it's going in the right direction.
      There's only one choice, like seriously.
      100% likeliness of collapse vs a chance for a long term stable economy, the choice is pretty fucking obvious right? I don't understand why people on here are so fucking dumb that they can't even realize that themselves, even a 15 year old would choose the only CHANCE, imagine a bunch of politicians competing with other major economies? who love money, love showing off their progress, why in the fucking hell would they choose to drag their own country in hell and show the world how fucking idiotic they were for not simply choosing the only chance they had, China's situation is START CHANGING RIGHT NOW, or completely collapse in a couple years from now from lack of water, increasing pollution, increasing death, less kids, a workforce getting way smaller, a disastrous crash.

    Americans and the western world is to blame aswell. We all want the newest stuff at the cheapest price. It has to come from somewhere, and here it is. That new iphone or the plastic shopping bag came from a factory in China or some other unregulated area in Asia. The Chinese government is to blame but we are all to blame aswell.

    America faced the same problems in China, and so did many other developed countries today. It's a process every country goes through to reach prosperity. How did America clean up their mess? The government listened to the people and made reforms. China is different, and if they don't change, their conditions aren't going to either.
