honestly i think its hating disguised behind the idea of "holding people accountable". R kelly needs to sit under the jail though, but yes i agree with the majority of the point here
@@shriderrad4123 that’s a bold paraphrase. The entire point is: the application of “holding people accountable” is subjective and differs person to person, & we hold witch hunts based on subjective rules instead of an objective standard which leads to hypocrisy and favoritism. The most objective way to run it is to either apply it to all crimes, negative actions, negative speech, etc evenly. Or just stop trying to act like you’re better than people, and live your life devoid of judging others decisions
@@WhosAux I don't think anybody here or anyone in that situation was stating that they're better than anybody just because they think a certain way than the others do. Now granted I'm not trying to excuse or justify any kind of harassment of people who support controversial creators or anything like that I don't think that's very valid or reasonable whatsoever. I however do think that it isn't a justifiable or valid reasons to just state "who cares?" or "I don't care" because basic cynicism or nihilism is the best approach towards a situation like this it just makes you sound like an uncaring individual.
@@shriderrad4123 so essentially, your response to me “you don’t respond to situations in the way i would like, and that’s bad”? I’m paraphrasing but let me know if I’m reaching. That kind of refers back to the video because you care more about it would that make you better as a person? And if that’s not what you’re saying that what is the point of the character judgement? My point isn’t centered around “who cares” it’s around “why do you care” because at the root of it, people don’t say explicitly that they’re better than, they attempt to judge others based on their own life rules, which is again bias
@@WhosAux @WhosAux @WhosAux no that's not my response at all or my comment at all. What I'm saying is the way how you respond makes you look like a pretty big jerk hence why it isn't a good appeal when trying to justify your argument or your viewpoint. I don't think necessarily if you care more and make you a better person but it will certainly make you more of a likable person arguably speaking that's for sure. People could care for multiple different kinds of reasons it doesn't matter why you they care it just matters that they care there's nothing more cooler than a person who cares at the end of the day. And let's be honest if you don't care then why are you even talking about it to begin with? It's not just a big waste of your time fundamentally speaking? He didn't care about something why even waste your breath on the topic to begin with? Of course it's going to be biased on everything on the planet that anyone says or does or reacts he was going to be biased it doesn't mean anything at the end of the day though.
@@shriderrad4123 i implore you to watch the video again then, i think you’re missing major points or just getting hung up on the words “i don’t care” instead of applying them to the parts in the video that are being talked about in relation to the phrase. 1. I don’t care about artists actions in comparison to others (most times) because i support art that moves people. Except when it changes how i feel about the art. Then im personally not listening, but i don’t care any further to stop others from listening, because it may still emotionally affect them. 2. I care about free expression and freedom from judgement, which is why the video was made in the first place. 3.i didn’t understand a lot of the end of that last comment but, again the point is to address hypocrisy, and i posed 2 ways to address that. re: my first comment detailing my point 4. Main concern isn’t to be liked as long as the point is understood and i can have conversations based on the point, not personality. This topic isn’t the most conducive to being liked, i woulda chose something else
