Slipknot stoping the show to help an injured fan that shows you they care about their fans they don’t want to see anybody getting hurt that just really shows you Slipknot actually care about the fans
It's definitely a family thing, when I was 15 I went to my first Iron Maiden concert, sadly the barrier collapsed and my leg got stuck underneath it, thanks to 3 amazing metalheads, their quick thinking and selflessness I got out alive
he was literally not allowed to stop the show 🤣 under contract there were 2 categories of staff above him required to stop the show before he was able to do anything. was waiting for this comment
@@clinical_caliber what a stupid reason for the 🤣 emoji. "his corporate handlers wont allow it" ffs who has that kinda money and cant control their own actions? clowns with shit contracts
The professionalism was amazing. Jim wasted no time getting the information to Corey and Corey wasted no time to stop the song, once things were taken care of, they started again from the bridge as if they never even stopped to begin with. The show was incredible, 10/10 recommend seeing them at least once. Can't wait to see them again!
This is brilliant ❤️ Everyone outside the metal scene: “I’d never go to a show like that it’s so violent” Those same people: “I’d love to see Travis Scott live” 🙄 This is why I love metal and the metal crowds! At a metal gig you jump into a mosh expecting ruff and tumble , you get ruff and then get tumbled! Then the metal crowd stops, sees the person on the floor, picks them up and makes sure they are ok! 😊 In the case of the more mainstream “artist” he just went on with the show, oblivious to the fact that his fans trampled someone to death! Sorry for the long comment but this just boggles my mind! 😵
They are so good at pointing out a situation in the crowd, I guess when you’ve been doing this for so long you pick up on things but seriously props to Jim, Corey and the rest of the band
Jim and Cory have always watched out for their fans and got them help when it was needed, I remember back in 2002 at a Stone Sour concert Cory stopped the show so a fan could get medical attention. 🤘
This is what a band does that cares about the fans, and is NOT solely interested in money. Such good guys, and it truly displays that they are very perceptive to what goes on at they’re shows. Mad respect!!
I was there when it happened in Winnipeg. It was also my first concert ever and Slipknot always has been my favourite band. I was dying to see them forever and I finally got the chance to. Seeing Corey just have a heart and the band in general and the fans as well, is such a beautiful sight and thing to engage with. Maggot for life 🤘
@@vicarious7858 I saw someone get rolled out the GA area in a wheelchair right after they started playing again. Assuming it was the same person, maybe a leg/foot injury. Which considering there easily 500+ people on the floor, not surprising.
yea same thing in Toronto on May 30th during surfacing. I've seen slipknot 4 times now and have seen this happen during each show. it's great to see they are paying attention and watching out for there fans, most shows I go to that fans going down and getting hurt usually goes unnoticed
That’s why Corey Taylor is the man I have looked up to since 1999 I’m a maggot!!!! just because we live and breathe Slipknot as heavy as it gets we help each other no matter what because we are family
We just had to do this at welcome to Rockville during Papa Roach I watched a guy get knocked out in the pit and we cleared a path to the stage so EMTs could get in and Jacoby saw and stop the show
I was there and Corey handled it wonderfully from making sure medical personnel got to the fan and then going right back to business. It didn’t hurt the show at all.
This happens all the time, it shouldn't be surprising, or praised really, it should be a normal occurence, but Corey is fucking awesome for doing this when many don't
I was there me and my section thought there was a fight, but someone was suffering of something, Jim had a good eye, my brothers of slipknot is always about safety for the fans.
Same happened durin Rise Againsts performance at Stone Pony. Timmy stopped the whole show and we all had to clear a massive path for the EMTs to move in
In Montreal on the 26th he asked someone mid song if they were ok they ended up being fine. However I was in the pit and witnessed three people pass out. Crazy show lmao
Saw slipknot in RI in may and Corey was asking about the condition of a girl during the verses of a song, super dude, told us all everything was g after
I've been to close to 30 shows and at 3 of them the singer took about 30 seconds to address the crowd because people up front were getting squashed. That astroworld guy could've prevented so much from occurring.
the "cold" way to look at it is, stopping a show for a few minutes saves months of legal issues (ie should they have stopped? was the show safe etc?) and bad publicity. good on them on how they acted to ensure an injured fan got help
Corey did the same at the Toronto concert on May 30th. Luckily the injury wasn’t serious. Corey is the best man.
Slipknot stoping the show to help an injured fan that shows you they care about their fans they don’t want to see anybody getting hurt that just really shows you Slipknot actually care about the fans
He did the same in winnipeg when someone broke their leg
He did the same thing in Winnipeg this year
The guy got punched in the back of the head and then hit the ground! It was nuts!
Was about to say this. I was there. It was during Surfacing.
I was there, I got a clip of this happening--saying Corey is always about people's safety and how awesome the band is for making sure everyone's okay.
Same, he also included that all his fans are his family. And he will be damned if he lets anything happen to his family at his shows.
Slipknot forever!!! They truly are bad ass!!!
This is why metalheads stick together!! It's a family thing!
You got that right dude 🤘🤘
It's definitely a family thing, when I was 15 I went to my first Iron Maiden concert, sadly the barrier collapsed and my leg got stuck underneath it, thanks to 3 amazing metalheads, their quick thinking and selflessness I got out alive
100% 🤘🏼
@@YV0910 God Bless them
I've never felt unsafe in a Metal Concert, we are civilized people.. 🤘
Slipknot, a band of 9, stopped a show for 1 fan. Travis Scott, 1 rapper, didn't stop a show for 9 people who died.
Such a good point

@@gabrielesparza4 i bet you haven’t even looked into the lawsuit or the case in general. following the mass media won’t get you far.
Jim, Corey...jeesh, that was epic! Solid guys, solid!

This is what makes metal the best. We're all there to have a good time and we look out for each other. 🤘💀🖤
It’s great to see even a hardcore band being compassionate, these are the moments that should be publicized
Slipknot is not a hard-core band lol
To each their own, there are no objectives in art, the categories are straitjackets... I could come up with a 4th but I am bored now...
@@commodore6430 he didn't mean it as in the sub-genre, he just meant that it's harder/heavier than most music
Corey stopped the band mid way through Surfacing in Toronto on Monday to make sure a fan in the pit was helped up! Truly a class act!🤘
And then restarted the song from the beginning. So we got to rock out to Surfacing twice as an encore.
Slipknot fuckin rocks live.
I WAS THEREEE!!! My first ever concert!! Had a fucking blasttt mann!!!
It’s nice to see the other fans pointing to the person in need.
Travis Scott needs to take some notes
Frrr man-
Travis need a lesson how to help your fans!
I think its awesome that they look out for their fans like that
I applaud him for doing this. Show your fans respect and concern. You're doing it for them.

So proud of my son for noticing the person in the crowd and getting Corey's attention!!!! Slipknot rules!!!

Great OBSERVED Jim! And you are THE MAN, COREY!
Thank you for talking over the footage of it actually happening, to describe it happening

Do you know if the guy was ok in the end?

True heart of Cincinnati and metal fans
Wow they are heroes... They did something which is complete natural...
basic decency and compassion can be hard to come by sometimes these days. especially with *ahem* certain performers

The difference between mainstream artists and metal artists...
One of many reasons why I love Slipknot 💜🖤
👏 well done again, guys. Wishing you all well, as well
Always good to see that some artists still give a damn
Thanks for posting the full video...
Metalheads are family we always look out for each other.
I was at this concert. It was very necessary for them to stop the show due to other incidents back in ‘79 and during astroworld. Slipknot forever 🤘
I was there and Corey handled it wonderfully from making sure medical personnel got to the fan and then going right back to business. It didn’t hurt the show at all.
That's nothing short of what Taylor would STOP HIS SHOW,BAND DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE DEATH AT THEIR SHOW
This happens all the time, it shouldn't be surprising, or praised really, it should be a normal occurence, but Corey is fucking awesome for doing this when many don't
Well done gentlemen !
That's what I love most about Metal.

Slipknot -class act and top shelf as far as caring about their fans...10/10 would recommend 👍
I was there me and my section thought there was a fight, but someone was suffering of something, Jim had a good eye, my brothers of slipknot is always about safety for the fans.
Corey being Corey
They stopped the show in Winnipeg for a fan as well. We got to hear Vermillion twice once the guy was helped out of the pit.
This is how metal community should be, spread vibes.
Look after each other.
That’s just good people there!
Just because they appear a certain way, doesn’t mean they don’t care
And they clearly care about their audience
High class! Respect!

Amazing show, amazing band 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
“I’ll be goddamned if I let anything happen to anyone in our family while we are here!” - Corey Taylor
And you know if the great big mouth said it, he meant it!
This is why I am huge fan of James Root! Not Slipknot per se, but James is one of my favorites!
I WAS THERE!!!
I was there. Band was on point. Great show but this may have been their best moment. Great job by these dudes onstage.
Pit etiquette is life etiquette, if someones down, you help them up.
..MUCH LOVE FROM HELSINKI 🤘
AWESOME
I sincerely wish more bands would do this more often.
The most crazy thing is that he asked to crowd to move back and you can clearly see that they were moving back.
I was in Winnipeg, they even restarted the song!
slipknot do this all the time, theyre the nicest guys
It was a killer show, one of the world's best bands
In Slipknot We Trust!
Sad that my lady and I had to miss the Cincinnati show, hopefully we get to catch them while they still have Cypress Hill with them later on.
In Montreal on the 26th he asked someone mid song if they were ok they ended up being fine. However I was in the pit and witnessed three people pass out. Crazy show lmao
Corey cut the show may 30th in Toronto to make sure Dan was okay during surfacing
This also Happened in Winnipeg in April
Good for Slipknot! Way to go!
Now that's a class act.
Good man
Saw slipknot in RI in may and Corey was asking about the condition of a girl during the verses of a song, super dude, told us all everything was g after
I know that feeling of not able to stay for the show. I had to get pulled out of the front. A few times.
I love Slipknot so much.
Metal does it right again. This is so refreshing after the crap with that one festival and the deaths.
This shouldn't really be news, should just be a normal thing.
i was there! stopped immediately, made sure they were safe, then continued
I was at that concert, it was the best concert ever!
The fact that people say metal is violent yet there’s rapers that don’t stop a show when there multiple people dying smh
Responsible people!
Great Band!!
just one tap from jim and corey already knew one maggot is hurt...good job corey and jim
I was at this concert I was kinda scary at first and we all just went silent. Slipknot is scary but they care. ❤️🤘
Corey and Slipknot are so kool & great role models for fans and others 🤘✌️🏴🇦🇺
Nice!!! I'm scared to go to concerts anymore for medical reasons.
True gentleman 🤘💚
Yep I was there great job 👍👍👍👍👍
Great people doing what they did to make sure that a fan was ok.🤘🤘👍
Slipknot should let some fan sing some of their songs
Corey's newest mask is so fucking awesome
Even the "demonic" Slipknot knows how to help their fans. Most modern superstars seemingly don't.
I've been to close to 30 shows and at 3 of them the singer took about 30 seconds to address the crowd because people up front were getting squashed. That astroworld guy could've prevented so much from occurring.
I don't listen to slipknot but I have massive respect for them and corey
I was at this show
Thanks, that helps paint a more informed picture of the event.
