    Great mixer, I’m loving mine, the only complaint I have is that it doesn’t go up to 96k as an audio interface and there doesn’t seem to be much planned as far as firmware or software updates go. Kinda feels like Tascam has already moved on

      Hello! The Model 24 has been out for around five years now and it's an analog piece of gear. Being that it is analog, there's a very limited amount of things that can be done with firmware updates.
      We can assure you we've *not* given up on the Model 24! It's one of our most popular products and we're very proud of the unit!

    I’m in a band and I’ll be getting one of these to record our practices. Can I run the sound myself, like do soundcheck and then record? Or will we need to get a sound guy to come in?

      Hello, Alex! Great question - you should be able to soundcheck your band, then record without the need for a sound person to come in. Set your levels, EQ, etc - then hit record and track away!

    These 'Model' mixers sound great Tascam. Just wondering, when using the Model 12 at a live gig, if you set up each track with whatever EQ and effects it needs to suit the live performance space, can you record each track dry and without EQ so that you can mix it later with different EQ and FX to suit an album? Hope that makes sense. Thanks if you can help!

    • @nicolasstrawberry4148
      @nicolasstrawberry4148 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it only records the audio without eq but if you add compression it will record the compressed signal, the only down side is that there isn’t any post compression so you can’t compress anything later. There’s a way to send audio out to the sub mix and route it to another track and add compression but I wish there actually was post compression

      @@nicolasstrawberry4148 Thanks Nicolas, nice to know about the compression. So the compression records but the other FX like reverb don’t record, is that right? Sorry for any newb questions ;-)

      Hello Daniel! The DM-4800 was discontinued quite some time ago, so we probably won't be uploading any new tutorial videos for that.
