Whether holding it down in the studio or leading from the front with his band, Marcus Miller is one of the most heralded bass players on the planet.
An unbelievable soloist, a lyrical fretless player, Marcus wrote the rule book when it comes to playing in the pocket and has every technique imaginable under his fingers - but despite his stratospheric technical chops, his overriding legacy is one of laying down the groove and serving the song.
    See you in the shed!!

Intrestly, both Nat Adderley Jr and Marcus Miller can trace their musical roots to Miles Davis. Nat Adderley Jr's uncle Cannonball Adderley played recorded with Miles on one of the greatest jazz albums, 1958's Something Else. Marcus Miller's uncle Wynton Kelly recorded one of the greatest selling jazz albums, Miles Davis Kind of Blue. As we know Miller went on to write, record, and tour with Davis. Both young men come from professional musical families and independent of their elders went on to outstanding careers.
