  • In this video we get the stock tank pool painted up. In doing stock tank pool paint I avoided having to use a stock tank poo liner. Had to do a little extra cleaning on my tank as it had been full of rain water previously, but I think I got it where it needs to be. The paint went on pretty easy, ended up using about 2 pints on the first coat and about a quart on the second coat.

Heck with your tank pool, is that a Lincoln Continental with suicide doors behind you?😃

It is a Continental, but it’s a coupe, so no suicide doors.

We used the same product. Looks good but it better it costs a lot. Did the outside too with one batch. Previous owner of the tank had painted it poorly so we had to wire wheel grind it all off and then did the epoxy.

Man, I’m glad I didn’t have to get old paint off. I’m happy with how it turned out. Feels like it will hold up nicely. I definitely lucked out with my step dad having some left over that he gave me.

@@south_coast Hey, how well has the paint held up?

@@doaquapx9682 It held up great for that full season. I am waiting for it to warm up a bit more before I flip it back over and get it filed back up. I will update with a video when I get it all set up for this upcoming summer.

Hoping it turns out well for you! We are still enjoying ours. There has been a little bit of paint chipping up where the seam sealer on the tank is, but other than that it has held up well.

Wondering how this held up in your second season? Our second season rust started coming through

Mine is holding up well. The only spots with issues are along the seam sealer where the paint didn’t stick to the factory sealant. Other than that it’s still in good shape.

Did you put on a primer before applying the paint? If so, what did you use?

No primer. What you see in the video is what I did. Light sanding, cleaned out with vinegar and then water, then put on the epoxy pool paint.
