How exactly are these changes hidden if they explicitly mentioned them in the patch notes? An example of an actual hidden change is the Savage Attacker feat now working with sneak attack damage dice, as they didn't mention it at all in the patch notes.
Savage attacker basically gives you advantage on your weapon damage rolls. So you roll twice and pick the highest one. The reason it's pretty good is because it also includes damage riders, like smites, etc. Sneak attack is an ability Rogues get where they can add 1d6 (at first, it maxes out at 6d6) damage dice to the result of a successful attack against an enemy you have advantage against. Same goes with grappling hook... well trying to attack them with height advantage while on the tall building, I don't recommend that.
Just to point something out, the Bandit's Armor was not added in patch 7. Before patch 7, all you had to do to get this was to switch Shadowheart's armor while on the Nautiloid. I'd usually give her the Scale Armor after beating the Cambion with the Everburn Blade, and she'd be equipped with the Bandit's Armor when you encounter her on the beach, while keeping the other armors in her inventory. I honestly thought patch 7 removed this entirely because she now keeps whatever armor she is equipped with when you find her on the beach.
The Bandit's Armor on Shadowheart is not just in Patch 7, and there is another way to get it. I know it's not new because I've been getting it on my PS5 on my failed honor runs. To get it you simply need to equip her with Lae'zel's Githyanki armor when on the Nautiloid and have her keep it on through the fight. When you see her on the beach she will be wearing that bandit armor, but the Githyanki armor will still be in your inventory.
Unrelated to patch 7, but just found something new myself. If you're invisible (potion, lv2 spell, or even duergar) and shoot darkness arrows, it does not dispel the invisibility. It does trigger a stealth check, except even if you fail the check, the invisibility does not wear off and you simply enter combat. If you are somehow immune to blind (various options), then standing in the darkness sometimes skip the stealth check completely. If you move to a new location each time, it also resets the DC check difficulty. If you use greater invisibility, it greatly reduces the stealth check. I didn't manage to fail in my test because it was so easy to pass, so I don't know if the invisibility wears off in this case.
The bandit armor isn't new, I've had shadowheart spawn with it on the beach instead of a scale mail I equiped on her in the nautiloid, it has happened seemingly at random ever since I got BG3 a month ago.
The bandit armor you're talking about is something that you can get easily anyway, though at that point it's just called leather armor, but looks exactly the same and has the same stats. I've got the soldier inspiration in the first groove battle since forever in most of my runs
I've been getting the No one left behind reward every single playthrough since even before the first patch. Research.
Bandit Armor was not new in Patch 7, Its been there in earlier patches, you just had to remove Shadowhearts body armor in the Nautiloid and when you find her on the Beach after the crash she would have it on, her not having it on till you find her in the grove is new
So I just now spoke to the Squirrel in the druid grove as a dark urge duergar bard and did not get the immediate "kick the squirrel" result. Do you think this is a bug or a new feature for players who want a good Durge playthrough
The Mol line has been in the game
The no one left behind inspiration has always been a thing sense release
The money trick isn't only for patch 7. You could do it on 6
i just want get back Halsin's tent... I hope patch 8 gonna fix that...
No-one left inspiration behind has always been in the game!
Wait… the painting NOW shows your companion? 4 runs and I’ve never been able to get it to show my Tav or Durge. It only ONLY shows my companions. Usually one that’s not in the party.
Bandit armor..heroic run lv1 only! 😈
I play on ps5, so I have a question. Does this patch fixes the bug where sometimes your attack animation wont play/show?
The bandit armor isn’t new. It’s always been that way
Bandit armor I have seen before patch 7 though.
The armour appeared even before.
Most of these "new secrets" have been in the game since release or patch 1, and I saw them on my first run.
Just trigger opportunity attack on harleep then attack him. Charm is reaction and he's got only one.
Im having a weird bug on honour mode. Enemys succumbing to death. all the redcaps were dead before i visited the teahouse and when i spoke to ethel the first time she dies. when i spoke to the myconids the first time. nere dies. i haven't even been to the forge yet. And its basically making honour mode pointless :D
Oh, come on. Selling your binded pact of the blade weapon has been in the game for quite a while.
No one left behind was always there
No one left behind has been in the game for a while. maybe it was recently fixed or re-added but it's not new.
More than half, if not all of these, were added before patch 7...
Looks like trade trick has been fixed
No One Left behind has been in the game forever
Do you need to save all the gondians in the iron throne too?
I saved most of them. Not all of them and I still was allowed to use the watcher. Someone in the comments posted it might be more about saving his daughter which could make sense or maybe its save majority and his daughter? Don't know how it works, but I saved all but I think it was 3 Gondians in the Iron Throne, and then in the workshop I wasn't able to save I think 2 Gondian workers.
10 hidden changes? a lot of these were already in the game way before patch 7, hell almost all of them.
Am I the only one getting this nasty spellbook UI bug where, for some reason, accessing the spellbook UI as a sorcerer makes it look weirdly streched with a blank gap between the cantrips and the spells, and when accessing it as a paladin and changing spells, the UI actually streches further down until you can't see the spells no more...
I don't use any mods. this is so frustrating that I consider going back to patch 6 version of the game...
Can anyone help ?
Wait, y'all were fighting Haarlep?
I know I did. There's no way my Tav was going to bang something with Raphael's face man or woman.
If you don't fight him, you can't get the tree Helldusk Gloves.
Does the portrait still not work right tho?
I wonder how they discovered bandits armor...
@T.EX.T-ME-Toyhouze ?
Anyone happen to know if the barter trick works with an Eldritch Knight's bound weapon?
I’m on PlayStation patch 6 and I have only ever got a portrait of a companion I was wondering why he says it me and never is
i always manage to save everyone without trying....how is this a "secret"?
I don't think the trading trick was new. I’ve done it last patch, and there were guides on youtube a while ago as well
3:13 is this working for anyone else? Each time i try the pact weapon either doesnt show up as an item for barter or it does and the trader wont accept the trade
Is the patch out for playstation too???
