At the end of the video you mentioned ideal flight times when disembarking and heading to Miami's airport. What about from Miami Cruise Port to Fort Lauderdale's airport, what times do you recommend? Thank you. Been enjoying your videos as we are preparing to do our first cruise in 11 years (last two cruises we did I got laid off from my job during the cruise so I've been hesitant to go back on one).
@@ByteSizeCruises I appreciate the feedback. If it happens a third time my wife knows I am never going back on a cruise until I'm retired. Too make up the gap of time since we last did a cruise and it's our 20th anniversary we're doing the Haven. Should be fun.
Ok. So the Hampton airport is gone. Nothing great but nice. The EB was great and breakfast was included. It has a really nice pool etc. and just a really nice outside area.
Of course. Generally we stay at the EB hotel. It’s close to the airport and very nice. I also stay at life house little Havana a decent amount. This is in little Havana and much more immersive in the city. If you want something close to the port and high end the intercontinental is great
If you park in the surface lot E because of an oversized vehicle is there a shuttle to take you from that lot to terminal A or are you stuck walking? If you do have to walk the 1.4 miles from the lot to the cruise terminal are there sidewalks
so there are a few. We stay at EB a lot. It is really nice and they have a restaurant for dinner, but it is probably a little fancier than necessary. Breakfast is a buffet and really nice and is $20 a person. I have also stayed a few times at the holiday Inn and it is totally fine for a basic stay. There are a ton of food options walking and uber distance away.
We are landing in Fort Lauderdale at 11am and our check in time is 1-1:30pm. We will be ubering, is this enough time? Also, im assuming i need to tell my driver which cruiseline im going on since Royal said to follow signs for the terminal?
@@ByteSizeCruises I already reserved an uber but i put the adress of the Port itself, because thats what Royal told me to do. Royal isn't 100% sure which terminal the ship will be leaving from
Any comments about the La Quinta Miami Airport West? And also have you ever used ParkSleepFly? I'm driving down to Miami and wanted to park the car at a hotel rather than the port. Supposedly this hotel has a shuttle service.
If I decide to bring wine, do I have to purchase it at the port or can i bring it with me in my bag from outside the port and then go through tsa/security?
Can you park in the Norwegian parking garage and walk to the ship with your luggage, I don't want to deal with drop off then park. Would rather just park and and go straight to luggage drop off?
@@ByteSizeCruises thank you. I found that website I just didn’t read anymore of how the process works so I was park away from port and shuttle over. Any thoughts on that?
Hi! We will be flying pre cruise but will be arriving in Florida airport and will rent a room in Florida, we have to take a taxi or Uber, any suggestions for hotel or motel in Florida or do you suggest that we go from the Airport directly to Miami and get a room there in Miami thank you
Of course. I def recommend going to Miami. There is no real advantage of staying in Fort Lauderdale. The hotels are generally the same price and you will def hit more traffic staying in Fort Lauderdale the next day getting to the port
We are going to florida for the first time next year. We are from denmark and will be in miami 4 days before our cruise. Any recommandations for hotels near the beach. Shopping and restaurants close by will be a plus too 😁
Of course. So a few options we love are Mondrian South Beach Hotel, that one is beautiful and reasonable, a little pricier would be the 1 hotel south beach, that one is outstanding, Nautilus Sonesta is also reasonable and all of those are in Miami Beach
When parking at the port for a Carnival cruise, do they have porters that take your baggage before you park? Or do you have to carry it from the parking area to the check-in area? Thank you
How do you find a hotel with shuttle services to the port of Miami or are there any you recommend? This is our first cruise & your info was so good & clear I appreciate it! I’m a little nervous booking an Uber/Lyft bc I have booked on the night before (at gulf shores) and he dropped me mins before pick up, and the airport was an hour away and I couldn’t get another one in time & I missed my flight & had to get a different flight with no reimbursement. I was told by everyone down there “don’t ever trust Ubers or Lyfts here.” That experience makes me really nervous now when traveling not knowing, where I live I’ve never had that happen.
We stayed at the EB and most hotels have a shuttle but I use Miami at least 3-4 times a year and I always use Lyft. I schedule the night before and have never had an issue coming or going
The ones really close are fairly expensive. The last one we stayed at was EB. It was reasonable. About 240 a night and about 15 min from the port. I’ll look for a few others for yoy
@@ByteSizeCruises we’re on a cruise in November and it’s our first time out of Miami. We’re in Scotland but we regularly watch the live stream of the port 😁
@@ByteSizeCruises There is a hotel located in the Miami airports. I was thinking about cruising out of Miami in 2025. I so solo so I need to be safe. I was thinking about flying in the day before and just staying that at the airport.
What you are mentioning is not anything new that are already known and on google. What im looking for is other things other social media people dont mention! I am not wanting an uber or taxi! Other options availabl? Walking over the bridge to the ports, if at all possible? Sidewalk for ports? Trolley? How long to walk? You need to be ahead of the game!
Thank you for providing this information. As we are cruising out of this port for the first time, this was very useful information 🎉
Thanks for watching!

Oh jeez. Positive vibes we don’t want that to happen. Same time frame is generally fine. I would def lean after 1pm

I would love hotel recommendations! I don’t want to spend $300 plus for sleeping. I would like one with a breakfast in am too….

Great info! You guys rock!
Thx so much!
Would love some advise on getting from FLL to Miami hotels near the port.
Hi. So I generally recommend uber or Lyft from fll to Miami You can do a service as well but those can be pricey as well
Can you do one of these videos for Port Everglades. Leaving a cruise from there in January
Of course. I’m on it
@@ByteSizeCruises thank you. i appreciate it 😁

technically there is not. I would recommend using uber or lyft for that. There are sidewalks but that is a long walk
Have you ever stayed at the Downtown Miami Hilton?
yes. It is nice and very close to the port as well. If you can get a good deal on it, def worth it
Thank you
We are looking for a hotel near the airport and we want to have a basic dinner and shop for soda and wine to take on the ship. Where do you recommend?

Def enough time unless traffic is a nightmare. When you order the uber you can pick the terminal in the app

That hotel is just ok. No issues. It’s not great but fine for the night. I have not used the park sleep fly though. I’ll ask around on that
If I decide to bring wine, do I have to purchase it at the port or can i bring it with me in my bag from outside the port and then go through tsa/security?
You can buy outside the port and bring with you. Just keep in your carry on
Can you park in the Norwegian parking garage and walk to the ship with your luggage, I don't want to deal with drop off then park. Would rather just park and and go straight to luggage drop off?
Yep. You a absolutely can.
Maybe you can tell me my wife and I are doing a side by side in Miami both on Carnival will they be docked side by side in terminal F?
Carnival uses D, E and F so they could be at any of those Terminals, but they would be either right next to or one away from each other
Can you recommend a place to stay in Miami? Reasonable pricing going to terminal F for carnival
Sure. I love the EB hotel. Very nice and clean and reasonable.
Is the Elser hotel ok?
Yes. It is excellent
How do you pay for parking if you wanna park at the port? I can’t find anything online. I’m going on carnival celebration.
You can pay right at the garage. Here is the website. www.miamidade.gov/portmiami/parking-information.asp

You cannot. The port is only open when the ship is there. Sorry.
