Omega Seiki Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (OSM), part of the Anglian Omega Group unveiled India’s first Electric Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) ‘M1KA’ today. OSM ‘M1KA’ is designed to live up to the expectation of ‘AAPKI AAMDANI KA SAATHI’. With this product, the brand continues to offer best-in-class performance, dependability, and a value proposition with lower TCO. Omega Seiki Mobility will start accepting bookings of the vehicle from Quarter 4 of 2021.
M1KA is equipped with a lightweight, NMC based battery of 90 kWh providing the longest driving range of 250kms in a single charge. The battery takes 4 hours to charge fully at the DC Fast Charging Stations. The payload capacity of 2 tonnes makes it the most proficient vehicle in its class. It is further supported by 6 leaf springs suspension in the front and 7 in the rear making M1KA an ideal SCV for highway drives that too on any terrain. The all-new M1KA sports a chassis of superior tensile strength. On the inside, the vehicle comes with a large 10 feet loading area which is highly suitable for heavy as well as voluminous load.

Simple advice to company:
Make an app for calculating and showing running, cost, saving etc. against IC pickup.
For example, if my daily run is of 200 km with 2.5 ton and i get paid 2500 for the trips, then what is the comparison of IC vs EV. The buying cost, running cost, servicing, etc. and the profit.
Buyer should be able to understand after how much run this pickup will prove to be profitable.

They must first concentrate Nisch segment which is small segment of private estate and SSI with dual cabin + luggage carrying flat bed at the back. Range in this segment need not be too big may be around 150-200Kms/charge

It is very good but companies should think on range. We are going to spend so much on a vehicle so it should offer good range and also it will help in promoting electric vehicles. I know we are going to save on per cost kilometer but same time we are going to paying double for the cost of vehicle.
