I prefer Yveltal out of the two, based purely on appearance. It's the reason why I picked Y back then.

I personally prefer Xerneas, its design is breathtaking and it was the first legendary to showcase the fairy type making it all that more special
Yveltal looks better
While I’m not going to disregard your valid points, I have to disagree about the design. Xerneas is just a deer with colorful antlers. Yveltal on the other hand is much more creative in its design while still resembling a living creature.

I like them both equally. I think Yveltal’s signature Move is better than Xerneas’ because it’s a one turn Move that heals it versus a 2 turn Move for stat boosts, which is useful, but not as good.
Unless you give it a power herb which is a one use item that allows the holder to use a two turn attack in only one turn~

Geomancy raises 3 stats by 2 stages, how is that worse even if it takes 2 turns?
@@theguy8614 Use a Power Herb and it only takes one turn, Xerneas is BY FAR better with geomancy, High SP.ATK stat, good STAB moves, and Fairy aura. Legit outspeeds and one-shots most pokemon with Geomancy, Including Yveltal.

DJ Tile Turnip I thought Yveltal had higher Attack and Sp.Atk and Xerneas had higher Defense and Sp.Def
since they came out
The Yveltal team never recovered when one of them got stuck in ice while the other one got stuck in a series of bad moves!
(This isn't criticizing) This is considerably uneven due to the fact that the only actual move used here wad metronome.
Xerneas is the better legendary to me, but yveltal wins me over in terms of shiny since it reminds me of bacon.

Everyone is prepared for Geomancy Xerneas, Now a days
Yveltal is used as a mix attacker,
And gets STAB on everyones favorite move Knock Off
His Signature move, Oblivion Wing recovers 75% of his health,
Xerneas is not having any Physical fairy attack, So it is used only as a special attacker.
Yveltal also has Roost while Xerneas doesn't have any Recovery moves
I believe it learns horn leech though I could be wrong

Aw man, this is another tough one! They both look so cool, with Xerneas being beautiful and graceful and Yveltal being purposefully terrifying. Not to mention they're both based on fascinating things, the Black Plague and the Norse tree of life whose name I will not attempt to spell. If I have to pick one, I guess it would be Yveltal because I have Pokemon Y and because I use one named Komachi on one of my Touhou Project teams (she's a shinigami so it works). But I still love Xerneas, too, so it's a very narrow edge.

Who else thinks that Yveltal is far outclassed by Xerneas? One or two Moonblasts or Dazzling Gleams could easily destroy it. If they had a real fight, Yveltal would be in big trouble, even for being another legendary.

Xerneas is better for playthroughs, while Yveltal is better competitively (especially after Zacian in its Crowned Sword form entered the VGC and decimated Xerneas).
I still like Yveltal more besides cereals has the type advantage so it isnt fair

Xerneas wins not because it’s stronger, but because it has the type advantage, I think that Yveltal should have a poison typing, to equal the odds, and it makes sense, since poison hurts, and steals live

Yveltal is easily my fav pokemon concept and design along with Necrozma and 50% Zygarde(I really like 100% a lot but 50% got a more pokemon vibe), Shiny 50% Zygarde easily my fav pkmn.

Originally I preferred Xerneas but then i got Y instead of X and Yveltal started to grow on me. Now i like them both equally. Before i got Y, Yveltal was the pokemon that just "existed" to me. But out of the two i do say i prefer Xerneas more since i have more memories with it.
But fairy type moves are not that common compare to dark types
For me I would go with yveltal because the design is a lot cooler.

The fact that Xerneas is strong against both the pokemons of its trio makes it the most unbalanced trio.
