Hey, You recieve 3 Breech lock bushings with the kit, they are removed with the die so you don't have to Unscrew every die, just push the black lock button, twist the breech lock insert and it comes out with the die all set up. I also purchased the LEE locking breech lock holders, Once set and locked they never come out of adjustment. $10.00 a pair, worth the extra money.
Being a fresh beginner, I just bought this kit, I'm weary of the price, but reviews and even the local yokels at my sporting good stores say it works fine. Waiting for it to show up. Really stoked to start loading ammo!
you're videos have really gotten 100% better looking; they look professionally made with all the camera angles, editing, and the High Def. Its too bad youtube is only letting you put 10 minute segments on again... oh well.. still an awesome job
Great video, I'm yet to shoot my AR build, waiting for my upper receiver but I am very interested in reloading and this video taught me everything! Love how you were specific about everything and showed results and what you want to see to get results. Thank you!
@be lue The grain of the bullet is different from the amount of powder (grain). For example, if he is loading 45 acp. He may use 3.6 grains of Bullseye powder to accurately deliver a 230 grain projectile down range.
To elaborate a little a grain (gr) is simply another unit of measurement for weight like pounds (lbs) bullets are measured in grains but so is the powder charge. There are 7000 grains in a pound so it is a very small unit of measurement. Hope this helps a little.
Thank god you made this. The Lee site is awful and assumes you know everything about the product and process. Lee needs to hire you to do all its product intros. You just sold me on buying this kit.
Hey dude the primer catcher works way better with the little tin plate installed on the side of your press. It should have came with your kit. maybe you know, I just don't like spent primers everywhere.
Do you clean the primer pocket every time? Although you didn't show it, I assume you do it. There's always some residue, many times very little of it. Is it necessary or advisable to clean it every time? I do it just in case, right after de-priming the brass. Thanks! Great videos, I watch them often, as I learn how to use my press.
@Iraqveteran8888 Have your service provider come check the line for noise. If your drop line from their box to your house is bad you will get noise degrading your signal. If thats ok eliminate the splitters from your drop line to your modem. This will reduce your signal noise to a minimum and improve your connection. I spent 20 bucks at Home Depot and ran new Co-axial cable through the attic to bring in new fresh outdoor spec co-axial line. (outdoor spec line is beefier and holds up better. )
Is there any reason you don't re-prime during the de-prime/resizing cycle? Prob doesn't matter, just curious. If you changed the powder feed to load through the flaring die, you would have to reprime during the sizing cycle.. Also, well worth buying extra die bushings. They're ~$10 for a 2 pack. With a bushing for each die you do the adjustments, lock it in and from then on you just have to drop in the next die and no readjustment is necessary.
You need to clean the primer pocket out before re-priming to insure the primer will seat fully. They make a tool to do this by hand, it's only a few dollars.
Tqtrpiypuu just like his demo, cleaning primer pockets on handgun rounds is seldom necessary. If the previous primer was seated, not much chance of problems developing between depriming and repriming. Can't hurt of course, but just not a requirement.
I have a RCBS press and I can't find an auto prime in stock anyplace are those antiques? I searched google and everyone is sold out. If I can't get an auto prime does that mean all of my equipment is useless? I have bought everything including casting equipment and I can't figure out how to prime my cases. All video and literature mentions this elusive "auto prime " thing. I saw a hand version at the gun show for $85.00 dollars but I thought that was a bit high but now I know.
@Iraqveteran8888 That is great that I has high quality output but it does no good if you are not able to upload that same quality all the time. I would try playing with the MPEG or AVI format if it will record in that format. It is must easier to manipulate because of there being so many programs out that will handle it. It sounds like the camera records in a proprietary format, making it difficult to find suitable apps to process it for upload.
Would something like this be very worth it if i have a .45-70 bullet? At 2 bucks a bullet where i live, would this save me alot of money? (Not to mention it just seems really handy to have)
4 grains?? Sorry, not sure how much that is. How much is the grain for the bullet?? I'm usually shoot 115 grain bullets so how does 4 grains compare to that?? Thx
Wet cleaning is done after depriming. Dry cleaning can be done before or after. Doing it after prevents media from getting stuck in the primer pockets.
Love Lee reloading tools but this is the worst press Lee has ever put out for a right handed person. When running the press up with your right hand, you then have to take your right hand off the lever to actuate the safety prime feeder, and then put your right hand back on the lever and lower the ram. Horrible ergonomics. The safety prime should have been on the left side of the press where you operate the ram up and down with your right hand and feed cases, operate the primer feed mechanism and remove cases using your left hand. I hate this press for this reason.

the sound of the primer popping out is awsome lol . doink .
All three installments of your demo procedure are done well.
Priming is done during decapping. I have an Auto drum powder measure set on the powder through expander die, so it really makes the process faster.

Well done video. Very informative without getting overly technical. Thank you for your service.
Great video, I'm yet to shoot my AR build, waiting for my upper receiver but I am very interested in reloading and this video taught me everything! Love how you were specific about everything and showed results and what you want to see to get results. Thank you!
Thank you! One of the best videos I've seen in a long time!
The easiest to follow reloading video I've seen so far, Thanks
You are a great instructor!
Very good videos. Extremely informative and helpful as I am a beginning reloader also using the exact same kit.
I'm considering reloading this is the best video I've found so for thank you
excellent video!
Just got one of these today and will start reloading tomorrow.
Bet you are a pro now.
@be lue

If you will use depriming die before cleaning the brass, your cases and sizing die will be way cleaner.
Excellent info. I bought this exact unit. This helps big time.. well done
Excellent thanks for making the effort. Very clear.
You've taught me a lot in this video thanks nicely done👍
As always, great video. Thanks
Best press for the money!
Thank god you made this. The Lee site is awful and assumes you know everything about the product and process. Lee needs to hire you to do all its product intros. You just sold me on buying this kit.
Love to see part 3
This is the best video on this press I just bought this press. Quick question what is the difference betwee

You have extra Breech Bushings but yet you unscrew your dies after having set them?
Great video & greetings from Germany!
This is the best video on this press I just bought this press. Quick question what is the difference between large and small handgun primers ?

When you're depriming a case safer it's been fired, do you clean it out line or before you run it thru the depriming die.
It doesn't get any better.
Where is part one?
Hey Eric, is there a website or manual that you trust more so than others for the specs of reloading?
@Iraqveteran8888 You should encode it to divx, it will dramatically shrink the file size and still retain good quality.
Thank You
Just ordered one myself tired of the long lines at the gun shop (California)
Can you just get the press & the dies & call it a day? Do you really need this whole 50th anniversary kit with all the bells & whistles?
Say you have ammo that has been fired. When do you trim the cases?? Is that needed?
when do you case trim.
very cool, really need to learn how to do this from a pro. i really do as i am becoming a shooter, what kind of savings verses buying rounds?

Great vid!!
Can’t find part 3
how much does this kit cost at moss?
Finally got it uploaded?! Congrats on try 5 or 6 I guess!
How do you discharge the static in your body?
Just touch metal.
Is sizing 300 win mag supposed to pose some sort of problem or something
i ordered the same press, the dies i need, the bullets and primers, but what powder do i get. i am ordering from graf and sons
I have a RCBS press and I can't find an auto prime in stock anyplace

@Iraqveteran8888 Handbrake from my own experiences works pretty well most of the time. What native format does your camera record too?
Спасибо👍👌
in your honest opinion is this a good starter rig?
erver heard of midway arms 7.62 x39 ?

what powder measure are you using in this video?
Would something like this be very worth it if i have a .45-70 bullet? At 2 bucks a bullet where i live, would this save me alot of money? (Not to mention it just seems really handy to have)
Yes. 45-70 is a must for reloading.
@chavezchavez556 Small primers are smaller, Large primers are large.
You use small in like 9mm.
Large in like .45acp
I believe.
Some .45 acp takes large primers and some, believe it or not, takes small primers.
Can you do .308 rifle ammo in this?
Do u not clean your brass?
4 grains?? Sorry, not sure how much that is. How much is the grain for the bullet?? I'm usually shoot 115 grain bullets so how does 4 grains compare to that?? Thx
Nice
do you clean the brass before or after depriming?
Wet cleaning is done after depriming. Dry cleaning can be done before or after. Doing it after prevents media from getting stuck in the primer pockets.
Where's part 1?
I saw a primer bounce off the table... not in the tray.
Can you re-use the primers?
No.
couldn't you prime and de-prime in one operation?
You can if you're not going to clean the brass after depriming.
@Iraqveteran8888 gotta love comcast huh? lol
