I am technically obese: 235 pounds, 5 foot 11 inches, male. I asked to be put on Wegovy to help me lose weight, but Medicare says they don't cover weight loss nor weight gain drugs. I believe the reason for not covering Wegovy is they need to save it for diabetes patients. I do not have diabetes. On an unrelated topic, I am an Antinatalist Animal Rights Vegan (AARV).

Wegovy works phenomenally. That’s pretty crappy that they won’t cover preventative medicines.
Their reasoning, saving it for diabetics doesn’t hold water either, Ozempic is for diabetics, Wegovy was approved for weight loss. Same chemical, different doses, different uses.
