here's one of the interesting things about the Royal Flush Gang. Their membership has fluctuated over the years, having eight different people as members over the years, so I don't see it as far-fetched that the DC Animated Universe have multiple Royal Flush Gang.
I always assumed the Joker was lying when he said he came up with the idea. I figured that was the joke, he stole the idea from the aristocratic crime family (who probably didn't have a world TV debut) and then pretended he made it up on his own. From a storytelling point of view, it would be the writers acknowledging that this Royal Flush Gang is a different version from the one seen in Batman Beyond, since they clearly have different backgrounds. But if we have to assume they are connected, your theory is as good as it'll get. Also, I assumed Batman encountered the real RFG after the end of JLU.
You're right that there's no evidence to prove they are separate gangs; it's just the assumption I made when I saw these episodes (It's funny to think of how furious the aristocratic family Royal Flush Gang would be to see their name co-opted by the madman Joker on global television). Prior to seeing your video, I didn't think there was any way to connect the two groups. I haven't seen the DCAU connected comics and web shows, so even if there was evidence to support my point of view, I wouldn't know about it. I'd like to think that the JLU show runners would have seen the huge continuity error they created if they intended for the Joker's group to be same the Royal Flush Gang Bruce describes in the future. Bruce definitely seems to be describing a family that has been around far longer than a few decades and he doesn't mention the Joker connection. But then I think of that damn Yellow Batsuit (which I had never noticed until I saw your video) so they may have just goofed. That said, does the possible existence of a second Royal Flush Gang adjust your timeline for Gotham Girls and change your answer about Killer Frost? PS - Keep making awesome videos. Love the channel!
It's more than likely that the ones that Waller created probably have their genetic samples taken from the original gang that was probably largely disbanded after tangling with Batman. The part of Joker thinking of the idea he probably knew one of the original members and chose an alternate card set.
Yes. Thank god! Back in BB when Bruce said he recognized the Flush Gang, I always assumed it was a BTAS episode I missed. It’s been eating away at me since the JL episode
It could also be one of the other original royal flush gang members. Like maybe Queen from Joker's gang married into an aristocratic British family of criminals and brought the name with he to the family. The flashback in wild cards showed she was blonde too and her personality fits. Plus she gets to keep her title.
From Joker's gang, Queen is presumed dead. She was knocked unconscious less than a minute before the building blew up when Joker tried to kill Hawkgirl and Green Lantern. Jack and 10 from Joker's Gang were captured, and Ace died not long afterward, as depicted in "Epilogue." That just leaves King, who did escape and could have re-founded the Royal Flush Gang.
I found myself wondering about the ever mysterious Royal Flush Gang and remembered your channel existed but I was like there's no way they did one of those, I mean not even these guys are that into it, AND THEN YOU FREAKING HAVE THE VIDEO ON YOUR CHANNEL AND I LOVE YOU GUYS
My personally interpretation was that joker had his royal flush gang adopt their aesthetic in order to mess with them, considering his disgust with gangsters and professional criminals
This is a neat Idea, but I just assumed that the Family Gang were still in Britain until maybe 20 years before Batman Beyond. I guess it's possible the 10 from Ace's gang married into the British family, though.
Here's an idea What if the Royal Flush gang never existed in the past and were called something else. Then when Joker made his own after it happened the "family gang" decided to use that name for themselves.
The Royal Flush Gang makes "their world debut" in "Wild Cards." We have no reason to believe this is not the first time the Royal Flush Gang has ever existed, and this seems to have been the intention of the writers. Therefore, at least Season 3 of "Gotham Girls" must take place after this episode.
I don't have a problem with the Royal Flush gang starting off as an unrelated mixture of meta-humans and turning into a generational dynasty. A lot of organisations that respect their traditions and lineages started with humbler beginnings and over time began to take on different aspects. Violent street gangs become Mob families that put a front of respectability while still benefiting from the legacy of their predecessors' crimes.
Random thought of the day. The time line video that mentioned this was forever ago but the "plasma rifles" that came before that 2005 stamped statue could have just been first gen guns and the famed rifle brand could be a more powerful/more accurate version.
At the end of "Wild Cards" King is the only member of the "Club" gang left unaccounted for. Jack and 10 are both captured, Queen is presumed dead, and Ace escapes but dies not long afterward as per "Epilogue." King could easily be the father of the Batman Beyond-era Queen (making him Melanie's grandfather). If you want to work in the "Spade" gang that Ace briefly formed, we could easily say that when King was re-founding the Royal Flush Gang he might have recruited some of those members. It is possible, though not necessary, that 10 might have been Melanie's grandmother.
An idea that was discarded by the writers is that there would be a Batgirl for Terry's Batman, a partner that would also serve a love interest with whom he would share his life as a hero, the idea was dismissed but part of it was used in Ten, since she is the "love interest of Batman" While Terry has Danna.
batman beyond seems to imply the royal flush gang has been around for over 30 to 50 years. So the cadmus and walker gang could be two seperate entities.

@@noodles_studios No, Dick became Robin as a child in the show just as he did in the comics. That line is just to say that Dick has had more than one suit within his time as Robin, and the one he wore in college wasn't his original.
I don’t think that’s the case because 1st they weren’t allowed to make robin young so they aged him into being robin like 19-21 And 2nd in the lost years comic book Dick returns the green suit to Bruce so why would he use the red and black instead of the green and red suit Dick mostly used?
@@noodles_studios Dick only used it as a child, as it was built FOR A CHILD. He of course upgraded the suit as he got older to fit his more masculine needs.

I was doing the jingle and batman line with the video as usual and then some other person in the screen rudely interrupted. xp Also 7 families, oof. gg
Actually the original Royal Flush Gang in the Justice League series are all the same voice actors of the Teen Titans, so you may say that they are a precursor to the Teen Titans series.
The 10 from Ace’s Royal Flush Gang’s appearance is a reference to Bo Derek in the movie 10. However it could also be a tongue and cheek nod to Melanie.
To be honest the whole thing was confusing till the epilogue royal flush gang might be the start of the royal flush gang in type Batman beyond universe
So this was the end of this set. And now there's no more of the other. But are they the same "basement," even though they're different places? And were they both basement apartments or does that make the joke that much better?

I think Bruce Timm wanted Terry to be Bruce's clone from the start, but didn't directly tell anyone until later. King for who knows what
Queen being into Drag (Alternative Lifestyles are still not tolerated in some circles)
Jack for being Black (Look at the attention Markle got for marrying into the Monarchy)
10 for being a Junkie (face it her de-powered form looks kind of strung out)
to the Hair Color Point... maybe her arrest provided that catalyst to get clean and she eventually went back and grew to be the new Matriarch...
- or this gang was simply a stray branch on the Family Tree
If you think Big Picture
if Gang A is
King: Dad
Queen: Mom
Jack: Son
10: Daughter in law
Ace: Hired Muscle
which begets Gang B
King = Jack A
Queen = 10 A
Jack = Son B
10= Daughter B
Ace = 3rd Cousin twice removed Fred
Come time for Gang C
Does Jack B become King as per Male Birthright?... or Does 10 B become the Queen because she's Older?... or Fred Gets an ego and simply Names himself the New King
at that point barring an edict from up the Family Tree you could have 3 wholly distinct Gangs in circulation each with some claim to the lineage
