Available on AppleTV and Amazon Prime February 23, 2021!
7 Yards is a feature-length documentary that explores the resilience and perspective of Chris Norton. In October 2010 at age 18, Chris suffered a debilitating spinal cord injury during a college football game. Doctors gave him just a 3 percent chance to ever move again. But he defied that diagnosis.
After years of physical therapy and training, Chris’ story went viral in 2015 when he successfully walked across the college graduation stage with the help of his fiancée Emily. Video of Chris walking to get his diploma touched the world and has received over 300 million views. Soon after, Chris and Emily set an ambitious new goal: walk seven yards side-by-side down their wedding aisle. The film features powerful interviews, emotional reenactments and real footage from their 2018 wedding. It’s the inspirational comeback story of Chris and his journey from college athlete to medical miracle to viral inspiration and now adoptive father.

The fact that he walked or not at the end is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that he was able to live his life and not let this obstacle stop him. He graduated university, got married to a beautiful and kind woman with whom he has a family and this is purpose to life.

    This was a good movie
I wish I had his push, I just became a T6 complete paraplegic and life is hard.
People might say yeah he can stand but I know it's still hard for him and he pushed through it and did it.

Very inspiring and determination! I also wish they have shown how they finance their resources. Not everyone that has same disability has the finance means. Netflix n talk shows compensated to help. In realms, many abled people cant even find a job. Great flick! Outstanding friend buddies, families n angelic wife.

Did Chris have an ""Incomplete" or a "Complete" spinal cord injury? I think this important info. needs to be emphasized because if his spinal cord wasn't completely severed then that explains why he has movement/function below the point where his spinal cord was damaged, and is not considered a medical *miracle* at all. Those of us who have "Complete" spinal cord injuries are usually not so fortunate: Our prognosis is 0.01% chance of any recovery below the point of injury level.

It's hard to believe that a woman would sacrifice her life for a man like him. The world we live in has shown me things that make it difficult to believe such rarities. But who knows ... May be she has a heart of gold. Or who knows ...Maybe not everything is exactly as it appears

thank you that was inspiring--i don t know if Chris will see this but wanted to ask if he has ever heard the Joe Dispensa story - he was hit by a car and not expected to walk either.. he described his healing.. and it was mostly mental and spiritual but im not entirely sure obviously had to be some physical as well.. he didnt have the surgery but still wondering if looking into his method would be helpful.. some say he pushes people too fast.. Aaron Abke has other classes on spirituality that are more gradual.. i have never been to a joe dispensa retreat and dont plan on it.. i think it would be too much for me. im sure it depends on the individual.. anyway Joe D healed himself by checking out of the hospital.. But really i think the important thing is to feel good about yourself no matter what happens in this world.. and that is better than walking. etc. So not that Chris would need to be better... --could check out you tube for Aaron abke and joe dispenza if interested.. and if not that is fine too.. we are all on our own journey obviously and it will look different for everyone..

It was kind of strange documentary. There's a lot of re- dramatization using Chris, his family and friends, seems a bit awkward. It appears that his family has an incredible amount of resources. I would imagine therapy and all the other accommodations were not cheap. Too much of a fairytale end. Something ain't right. That being said Chris is to be commended for all his efforts. The true heroes in the story are his college roommates for the sacrifices they made for Chris. I can't put my finger on the fiance she's either an angel or........ Hope I'm wrong . 🤷‍♂️

Amazing story, but I have to say that it bothers me that his mom was so worry about him finding love, like c’mon now, worry about his well-being instead that wasn’t even important when your son is struggling with his health, sorry if I offend someone, it’s my opinion.
