Thank you for coming back. What you do matters. I don’t even like children. Seriously. You’ve made me more empathetic. You’ve made me pay attention more.
@@jdr9419 No. It’s just my nature. It would be like telling everyone they should like dogs. Some people don’t. I’m a great aunt to my nephews though. I’d take a bullet for the guys. Such a relief to hear your voice Laine! Love, peace and healing to you. So much respect to you for your commitment to shining light on these sweet babes while fighting your own darkness, I know I don’t have half your strength. I’ve missed your voice, your videos, your appreciation for all our lost children. Your my #1 go to on utube. What an unfathomably strong mum, it’s humbling to hear the work she has done. She did not let that man take ALL of her daughter. You can hear that she’s carried Joan with her, every step she’s taken - that monster can’t seperate sweet Joan from the love of her mother.
It is so nice to see you back Lane . You are such an amazing TH-camr and I’ve always watched all the videos. I’m a huge fan of you and all the stories that you put out for the children who can’t speak for themselves. May you always be blessed and in the right spirits ! Blessing to your family . Thank you for all your hard work you put into these cases to say that we have all missed you ❤. Keep up the good work and never change who you are your an amazing person and podcast lady . You are by far the best crime, content, creator, 🎉 thank you 🙏 And rip Joan may the angles protect you up above .
If I may say, I have listened to almost every single one of your episodes and I have had the pleasure of learning a bit about you along the way. Hearing you share your experience regarding burn out, anxiety and depression is so deeply sad but please know you’re not alone. What you do matters I’m glad to see you back
I'm SO glad you are feeling better. I worry for you. I somehow found your channel and binge watched, it made me the most depressed I've ever been in my life! I can't imagine the toll of all the research you do and how you handle it, it really broke me. Again, glad your doing better!
I was not expecting to see a new video from you today 🥹 I’m just glad you’re okay. Take all the time you need for your mental health. That has to come first! Great job covering this case as you do all of them. You are a major voice for these poor children. I can imagine it’s draining . It’s hard to listen to, I can’t imagine how hard it is to do your job everyday. Thank you for this episode and all the others. Beautiful souls like yours help keep these babies names alive and for that I’m so thankful. May all there little souls be at peace, wherever that may be .
Don't go too hard on yourself - I'm pretty sure most would agree that we'll be here when you post, even if it's not every week. Thank you for sharing Joan's story, I hadn't heard it before. It's so odd that the part that I burst into tears over was explaining it to the siblings.
That always gets me, too. It breaks my heart to give my kids terrible news (like when their grandpa passed away), so I can only imagine how horrible it is to explain that a sibling is gone. 😢
McGowan's mother really took victim blaming to another level. He's an absolute monster and danger to society, and would have killed again if he didn't get LOP. Rosemary's resilience and perseverance to change things is astonishing and admirable.
I also struggle with major depressive disorder, anxiety and also Bipolar Disorder. I completely understand the need for a mental health break when an episode hits. Much love to you. ❤
I’m so happy that you’re back! I hope you’re doing well! I love listening to your podcast! You truly do an amazing job giving a voice to the voiceless! May God watch over you and all the victims!

Idk if.its bc i grew up in the 80s outside Philadelphia in a family if Catholic Italian immigrants or being a survivor of csa. But this got me. Im so glad to know who Joan was..thank you!❤
Joan's story is eerily similar to that of Marica Trimble's. Both got murdered while delivering Girl Scout cookies and their bodies both found on Easter. Marica's murder happened 2 years later in 1975 in Tennessee.
Such a tragic case, the mother is incredibly strong. It was nice to hear Joans story and her voice to be told, I think it's a very good thing if you do decide to cover cases of strangers murdering children. Yes, it is uncommon, but it's definitely still very real, terrifyingly enough.
