I'm just started last weeking color striping on the diagnona a rather larger 3 color shawl. Changing colors every 10 rows. I didn't realize how much garter only of yarn took more. I need to dabble in sewing too.:)
I'm taking a class in March as Joanns on making pillow cases. I've been wanting to sew my own pillow cases for years. It's such a small thing, but I want to learn to do it.

So this video popped up at just the right time. I tried the simple Tip #4, and now that edge of the scarf looks so much neater. Thanks very much!

I Love the trick to remove the color change dash lines on the right side of the piece. Is there any way to eliminate them on the wrong side of the piece as well, so the wrong side looks as clean as the right side?

Very helpful, thx. I have a dash problem in a flat piece knitted on circulars. Both RS & WS are knitted, the one exception is the last 3 stitches of every row are slipped pw then knitted at begining of next row to create an i-cord edging. I'm using a neon variegated yarn & have color change dashes on both the RS & WS of the ear warmer a friend asked me to knit for them. How can I get rid of those awful dash lines? Or is this case just futile? I can send a couple of pictures, and sadly the stripes are gonna end up running vertically once this project is finished! :( plz help!

Great tips! I am knitting a striped piece (2 rows of color A, 2 rows of color B, repeat). I noticed that the bottom of my piece looks more like 3 rows of color A, due to the cast on row. Is this normal?

For tip 5, after you knit a row, would you just continue on with the pattern? So, for a seed stitch, you K1P1, then P1K1. If you knit the first row, would you simply P1K1 for the 2nd row and go from there?
Teresa Creighton It is depend on the number of cast on you created. I suggest you to cast on in odd number just so you will not bother because you will always start each row with k (knit)
