Thank you for sharing your advice! I scored above 50% on the ballast practice exams, 2nd edition, and I went on to pass PcM, PJ, and CE divisions on my first try. I think scoring above 50% on the ballast practice exams is a good indicator on whether you will pass the exam.
I just passed CE this week, my last exam! I just have to say, your videos and resource links have been SO helpful, and helped me focus my studying and avoid wasting time. 6 exams in 6 months, with no fails!
OMG!!! This makes me sooooo happpyyyyy!!! I'm glad you found these videos helpful. I am so impressed you knocked out all 6 exams in 6 months! Congrats on becoming an Architect! You're awesome!
Hi dp GREAT STUFF! thank you for putting taking the time in putting this together. Also the puppers are a great add, they reduce the stress of having to study :)
THANK YOU! I'm watching this now to prepare for my CE exam, which will be my fourth test. I watched your videos for both the PcM and PjM exams and passed both on my first tries. The way you frame how to study schedule-wise & what resources to use have definitely helped me feel prepared and confident with my test-taking. Thank you!

This division will assess objectives related to the management of architectural projects, including organizing principles, contract management, and consultant management. The division will focus on issues related to office standards, development of project teams, and overall project control of client, fee, and risk management. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of and abilities in quality control, project team configuration, and project scheduling. In addition, candidates must demonstrate the ability to establish and deliver project services per contractual requirements in collaboration with consultants
Thanks for your advice, admire you that you can maintain your full time job while also study these exams. I am almost ran out of my batteries after work.
Yes, at times at it was very difficult to motivate myself but I kept thinking about all the free time I would have once I became licensed. It definitely is nice to not have to stress about the exams anymore. Hopefully these videos will make it easier to get through the process!
Hi, I'm kind of confused about the Wiley Navigating the Architect Registration Exam reading sections/index... I find it really confusing, actually... here are just two examples: 1) For CE, it says "Page: 701, Content: All" but I don't know what all means, just all of page 701, or every page after because the big bold header 10.8 Bidding and Negotiation starts on page 701... Here is a second example that has me scratching my head: 2) "Page: 710, Content: Preparing for the Construction Phase," although on page 710, there is no header or title that says "Preparing for the Construction Phase"! Okay here is a third example: 3) "Page: 714, Content: Preparing for the Construction Phase !Table 10.14: Arch.'s Contract Administration Tasks/Documentation (Pg 720)", this one starts easy, because there is a title and header on page 714 that says "Preparing for the Construction Phase," in all caps and bold letters, but on page 719 the all caps and bold letters change to "Administration of the Construction Contract," and then the table 10.14 is on the next page... so... Do you skip reading the "Administration of the Construction Contract" portion and just look at the 10.14 table, exclusively? ...I'm really confused... lol Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any other navigating the AIA handbook resource that is easier to understand? ~Thank you much!
I had a colleague say to just read the entire chapters from Wiley's chart, but pay special attention to what's on the chart... sound about right? Thanks!
Can someone explain to me what the paragraph 4.1.6 in form A701-2018 Instructions to Bidders means? I'm having a difficult time understanding what they're trying to say about the Bidder being able to "refuse to accept award of less than the combination of Bids stipulated by the Bidder". Thanks
Hi there, thanks for the video, CE will be my third exam, fingers crossed, after a bit of a sabbatical. will let you know how it works out. This was most helpful in getting started. Davina P. B.

Hi, thank you for sharing valuable information and tips. Would you please share Wiley AHPP Study Sections for this exam, because the provided link is NOT working. I can not find pdf. Thank you!
Glad you are finding these videos helpful! I just updated the link to the Wiley AHPP Study Sections. You can find the direct link to the document here: sganwdesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/AHPP15e_ARE5_CE.pdf
ARE 5.0 uses case studies to assess your ability to synthesize multiple pieces of information and make evaluative judgments based on the information. A case study includes a scenario, which provides a description of the case study and key information, as well as several additional resources associated with the scenario. The resources vary by division and by case, but could include drawings, project schedules and budgets, specifications, field reports, code and zoning excerpts, program requirements, photographs, submittals, RFPs, and/or contracts.
Just took this and unfortunately failed. Ive come to terms now with the fact that NCARB deals only in absolutes. That you have to realize their questions and situations are unrealistic, and that the architect must follow what the AIA wants them to say. There is no such things as compromise.
The exams test your knowledge on specific information such as the standard AIA Contracts. The situations portrayed in the exams may not be realistic but you just have to look at the information presented in the scenario and answer solely based on that information.

When the Wiley Chart says "all", what do they mean by that? The whole page? The whole section? The whole chapter?

Can't find the Brightwood ARE 5.0 Construction and Evaluation Study Guide anywhere, anyone selling one?
The Brightwood study guides are no longer in print. You should be fine with just the PPI study guides.
@@dp.DesignProfessionals I was struggling with the same issue finding Brightwood resources. This reply relieves me.

Does it say in the handbook that you have know details on the CE exam?
The handbook does not specifically mention details, but I would recommend understanding waterproofing, weep holes, and expansion joint details.
Where did you go to study details?
Architectural Graphic Standards or even from projects at work
@@dp.DesignProfessionals what types of details should I focus on?
Great inforamtion
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful!
Did you used AHPP 14TH edition?
I used the 15th edition, but the NCARB handbook suggests either 14th or 15th edition.
Thank you very much for the great info. Always trust a dog (or cat) lover :)
Absolutely! Glad you found it helpful!
