I've been trying to solve this issue with my vacuum for over a year and I'm quite embarrassed that it was such a simple problem... Hopefully just a quick trip to the shop to get a replacement belt :) thanks guys!
Hi Mathew, It is likely to be quicker to click on the link below for the part rather than try and find a local supplier: www.espares.co.uk/search/pt1567/vacuum-cleaners/belts Many of our parts are received the following day in the UK even without express delivery and have more than 1.5 million spares in stock.
Hello there thanks so much for your super fast reply , but I've cleansed the brush just as shown in the video but problem still persists , it seems like some of the rubber from the belt is burnt on the spindle and just causing the new belt tp get damaged as well .
You need to remove any burnt rubber from the motor shaft but do check the roller spins freely if you take the belt off. To clean the motor shaft use a plastic scouring pad.
Hello my Electrolux , same as the one in your video , is burning the belt and releasing smoke and the brush isn't rotating as well . Have replaced the belt but that has been chewed up in 1 minute as well , any suggestions ?
The problem is likely to be hair built up around the brush roller bearings. We have just produced a video for this here: th-cam.com/video/f1nQcafiWPE/w-d-xo.html
Hi, this video to clean the brush roller bearings is no longer available. Do you have another link to it please? I keep replacing the belt but it only lasts a minute or so. I think I need to clean the bearings but not quite sure how to do that. If you have any advice I would really appreciate it!
Hi Daniel, we are sorry but your cleaner is not available in the UK. We have not been able to find any service information to help advise you with your repair. :-(
Simple straight forward fix thanks man 😀
