      Amen, no problem, that's why I made the video, because I was getting ready to buy a new one myself if I could not figure out how to get it apart. I'm glad it was useful to you!

    Thank you kindly sir! Everyone else just shows how to get the front brush off which is a no brainer. Your video was exactly what I needed and right to point

    Great video. Very clearly SHOWS (as other videos don't) how all the levers go back in. Thanks.

      Thank you, Christine. Some people need something to complain about. I actually made a second video for the other side also. Thank you for the kind comment.

    Thank you very much for putting this video up. I would have never figured why the brushes weren't rolling in mine, let alone how to access the belt without this video. Thank you again.

      Thank you for checking out the video. As soon as I figured it out, I had to make a video in case someone else had the same issues. My channel I usually just do quick tool reviews, and the occasionally a how to. Thank again!

    Very cool. I have the same model and could not believe they covered the belt with security screws. Talk about a manufacturer trying to force new purchases! Thank you for the video and the link for the belts!

    • @mlacher100
      @mlacher100  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem. Once I figured out how it came apart, I said to myself, "Someone might have the same issue. Let me make a quick video." Most definitely, they want to purchase a new one, then fix it, or they would have made it more accessible to take apart. God bless!

      I think that Shark vacuums suck!!! Shark vacuum are made so that a simple thing as changing brush roll is so HARD to do that you are almost forced to buy a new vacuum!!!

    • @mlacher100
      @mlacher100  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless you figure a way to make them last longer than what they intend them to. I hear you on your comment.

      Yesss I’m needing to order a belt for mine and scared to order the wrong belt size. None of the belts on Amazon mention my zu881 shark model. Wondering if my model is included in the NV500 series????? 😩

      I came here looking for something else as well. I wasn't sure how to replace the front wheel on my nv835, but it looks like under the belt covers is where I have to go to remove the wheel pin. Thanks

    I’ve had this vacuum for a few years now and it’s still going strong. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was cleaning it today and thinking about how much I love no bags to buy and that it comes apart for easy clean up. When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.

    While you had it apart, you should have cleaned the hose from the head to the tank. Mine was so clogged it wouldn't pick anything up. Thanks for showing how to get the front open.

    I have the star shaped bits but there is a piece in the middle of each of the screws so i cannot fit my bit in. Is this a special set of Allen wrenches with a hole in the tip so they fit over that piece in the screw?

    I bought a brand new shark vacuum and it was broken in the first 5 minutes I used it. It was working fine on hardwood floors. Next, I tried to vacuum a rug with the rotating brush on. As soon as the brush turned on there was a snapping sound, and the brush stopped. I tried bring it to 2 different repair shops and they both said that they do not, and will not work on a Shark vacuum. I'm screwed.

    • @mlacher100
      @mlacher100  ปีที่แล้ว

      So, did you figure out what was broken?? Amazon I think does have some parts for them, or maybe you could find a used one for parts on ebay. I have a carpet cleaner that the motor locked up on it. I found a motor used on ebay for $30 to fix it. Hope this helps

    Since the spring "thing" is the worst part then maybe it would have been helpful to show how it was taken apart and put back together

    • @mlacher100
      @mlacher100  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the worst thing was figuring out how it came apart. The spring part is one piece that's Flys apart when you pull it apart. It's common sense after looking at it to figure out where it goes when you put it back together. Witch I show in the video where it goes. Thanks for the comment.

    • @mlacher100
      @mlacher100  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not everyone leaves a comment on a video. Good luck, keep looking. There is no other video. That's why I made this short video. It's my fault thinking everyone is somewhat mechanically inclined. When I make the video of the other side, I will show how to put the belt on the small gear and spin the roller why pushing the other end of the belt on so there is no confusion.
