A few spoiler free fun facts: About the Fireball Dog (Zwei): In Volume 1 Pyrrha says that all living things have Aura, including animals. Zwei lives with a family of fighters, so it makes sense that his Aura would unlocked. Also the name Zwei is a reference to a dog in the anime Cowboy Bebop where there’s a dog named Ein (“Eins” is German for “one” and Zwei is German for “two”) Fun fact about Doctor Oobleck’s voice actor: His line “Detach the caboose! It could kill us all!” Is a reference to another Rooster Teeth show called Red vs Blue, where Oobleck’s voice actor also does the voice for a character named Caboose (who is known for accidentally killing his teammates) Also I have a friend who was hesitating to watch RWBY. Until he learned about a “sassy mute” and demanded that we watch it together. We’re still in the middle of Volume 5 because our schedules rarely align, but he likes the show!

"What about Zwei and professor..?" Me: Doctor Also fun facts about Neo's weapon: 1) Like many in the RWBY universe it has a name. Neo's weapon is called Hush. 2) the tip of the umbrella as you've probably noticed has a hole for the blade to poke out of. Good for stabbing without having to unsheathe the entire blade. 3) Roman wanted to add a gun but apparently Neo was adamant about keeping it silent and Roman relented eventually and did add it. (This fact is from the Wiki)
@@tristancampbell4941 Understandable! She's extremely short, and the only reason I think she's over 21 at this point is because of information in the book about her and Roman
Remember earlier in the volume that Yang revealed to Blake that she and Ruby are technically half-sisters....same Dad but Summer Rose is Ruby's mom; Yang's Mom left her Dad right after Yang was born, so she has no actual memory of her birth mother. Summer Rose raised both girls until she left on her final mission and never returned (and is presumed dead). Yang revealed to Blake that finding her birth Mother is one of the things that drives her to this day but that it doesn't control her. Remember this detail about Ruby & Yang's parents.
Even years later I think the funniest part of the episode is the idea that Ruby realizes she needs backup and her solution is to call the weakest 1st year student in the entire school as opposed to literally anyone else.
Fun fact. We actually missed the end credit scene at first then when editing saw there was an end scene so went back to record and watch it. You’ll see a costume change in next video 😂🤗

That fight scene of Yang v Neo was the most insane fight to witness till the “Mysterious Woman” show up 😲 I can say that she is the most amazing fighter that I can’t wait to see you two react on who it might be 😄
I wouldn’t say the “Mysterious Woman” is *_the_* most amazing fighter - Cinder and Ozpin are both superior in pure fighting skill - but she’s certainly one of the greatest in the world.
Others have already mentioned about Zwei (and other animals in general) having aura, which is why he can be turned into a fireball and remain unharmed. Zweis family are Huntsmen/Huntresses, so he's a total badass too. And since you brought up Ruby and Yangs mother, remember, they're half sisters. Yangs mum abandoned her and their dad after she was born, and Ruby's mum Summer went missing during a mission and is presumed dead. Also don't forget that there's 4 more World of Remnants between season 2 and 3, specifically there are 3 you should watch in-between the seasons, titled "Vytal Festival Tournament", "Huntsmen" and "Cross Continental Transmit System". The 4th one from that season you can leave until a little later on.
I really like the comment you made about the girls on the train fighting the wrong opponents. Weiss may have had a better chance against Neo, Neo certainly seemed like a good counter to Yang.

so fun fact remember way back wen they said everyone has aura including dogs? ya zwei can fight cuz of his aura he has. its also why him being tossed around isnt as bad as u might think.also neo is mute so she will express her self otherways
Something that will be mentioned later on but that is in effect since the beginning of the series is that all Hunters have something of a protective field around them all all times, like an energy shield. This is why they can get slashed and exploded and kicked everywhere without showing obvious damage (they do feel pain though). This shield is related to their Aura powers but it CAN get broken though, and in the future it will be shown that after prolonged punishment they actually starts getting hurt for real.

One of my favourite episodes!! Thank you for bringing me back to Rwby after all these years. Got lost for a while, but it's always a joy re-experiencing it with people for their first time. Edit: I should also add it's one of the last examples of Monty Oum's choreographical genius. Yang vs. Neo and Weiss vs. Chainsaw Massacre are both just *chef's kiss*
A runaway train filled with bombs that attract Grimm, Yang vs Neo (plus that mysterious woman that saved Yang's life), Weiss vs that Chainsaw armed White Fang goon, Blake vs Torchwick, Oobleck and Zwei vs those Mechs, a violent crash to the surface, and now we got a Grimm invasion in Vale. Things sure have escalated quickly.
And the singer for the series is still only 15 yo at the time of this volume. Amazing talent. Yes, they shoot as well as Storm Troopers do. lol "Blake detach the caboose..." Well, it wouldn't be the first time she's detached cars on a train. 🤣 Here, you also see a slight hesitation in Blake. After all, she's fighting members of the White Fang that she may have come across before. It's definitely a difficult thing to fight against ones you might have known. At 6:35, it's surprising how many don't notice that the grimm is almost the same design as the Screechers from Tremors 2. Here at 7:50, where Oobleck turns Zwei into a fireball, you may want to remember this point. It's another case of them doing something and then giving a possible explanation as to how, later in the series. How did Zwei know to do that for Oobleck, and know what was going to happen when he did? Also, remember that all living things have an Aura, as Pyrrha explained in the first volume. Neo is one of the best fighters in the series. She's also got my favorite fighting style. Very sure of herself, and rightfully so. However, putting Yang, a hand-to-hand fighter, up against a long reach fighter, immediately put her at a disadvantage. Weiss would have been the better choice here. Exactly. Yang and Weiss should have switched opponents. He's big and slower, so brute force vs brute force. While Neo and Weiss are both elegant fighters.
69th like, nice. Here's some interesting bits... At 5:45, one of the White Fang members does the Wilhelm scream, a famous stock sound effect, as he falls off the train. Also, The train engine serial number is 0905. It is the same model as the train seen in the "Black" Trailer, but with a different serial number.
Actually, the "Katana" is actually what's called an Odachi, it's essentially a longer katana that was designed as an anti-cavalry weapon meant to kill both the horse and rider.
It explains a lot about Oobleck when you realize what he's constantly drinking might be coffee, but it's definitely rocket fuel. And given that this is the very first time in her life Yang's been in a serious fight against somebody who clearly knew in advance what not to do... that was a very low price for the lesson in what her weaknesses were. Neo wasn't entirely being gentle: she's the second-worst matchup out of her "team" for an unexpected fight against Yang and she didn't have any way to win that was both quick and reliable. (Which is also why she - carefully - went for a kill shot as soon as that was an option. Subdual wasn't a practical option at that time.) And it's kind of okay to like Neo. She's only in this because Roman Torchwick is, and while he very much isn't a good guy, he's arguably the least bad guy on his side - or the least committed bad guy. He has no ideological stake, and is aware this isn't even going to pay well after you factor in how the damage it'll do to society affects purchasing power.
A reminder that there’s a soundtrack list as well as World of Remnant information from me in your Chapter 6 reaction - and don’t forget to stick around for the after credits scene next chapter! :)
12:59 - well... It will be revealed in the Postcredit-Scene in the Last Episode of Volume 2. BUT this Postcredit-Scene is Not Canon! And the next Time you "actuall" See this Character is LATER
Widely considered the best episode of the season. I’m not sure I agree, since Episode 1 (the food fight) is my go-to whenever I’m having a bad day. But it’s definitely in the top five. Quite a lot packed in. Yang Vs. Neo, Weiss Vs. The Lieutenant, Blake Vs. Roman, Oobleck + Ruby + Zwei Vs. Paladins, Yang’s savior, a runaway train, and then that massive cliffhanger. It’s relentless. But god damn, is it awesome! Just a pity we have to wait a full WEEK for the finale!
So to help clarify why Dr. Oobleck can hit Zwei like a weapon is because of Zwei's aura most likely. Remember animals have aura's just like humans do. Zwei technically stays with Ruby and Yang's father who's a pro huntsman. He most likely trained Zwei to be a companion to help fight grimm. Oobleck probably understood this and uses Zwei to help him as well. Also, please react to the special Tribute to Monty Oum by Rooster Teeth after you finish the next episode. As you may know, Monty passed away after Volume 2 aired and before Volume 3 did. I think it would be a great tribute if you all reacted to a tribute video of him. th-cam.com/video/_465XaHoiGs/w-d-xo.html Fun Facts: Fact 1: At 6:07, one of the White Fang members does the Wilhelm scream, a famous stock sound effect, as he falls off the train. Fact 2: On the train Dr. Oobleck orders Blake to "detach the caboose" as it will "kill us all". This is a reference to the Red vs. Blue character Caboose, who is also voiced by Joel Heyman, and has a habit of accidentally harming his teammates. Fact 3: Miles Luna and Kerry Shawcross mentioned at the 2014 Rooster Teeth MCM London ComicCon panel that they had planned for the episode to be titled "Blake's on a Train", as a reference to the movie Snakes on a Plane, but it was rejected by Rooster Teeth in favor of "No Brakes". Fact 4: The train engine serial number is 0905. It is the same model as the train seen in the "Black" Trailer, but with a different serial number.
Spoiler Free: Episode 12 CVFY HYPE!!!! ALSO the picture at the end was each of the character's voice actors painted as their characters (yes, it is awesome)
Unfortunately for Yang, Neo’s fighting style is to let her opponent come to her and maneuver around their attacks. And since Yang prefers to get up close and personal, Neo is the worst opponent she can face as that plays right into her style making it very easy to overpower Yang.
Yang's mother is not supposed to be dead, she said to Blake that her mother left, she abandoned her with her father, why? That's what Yang wants to know and why she is searching her, could be that misterious woman? Who knows? 👀💦
Volume 2 and 3 are definitely the best volumes of rwby, Volumes 4-8 is where things goes downhill and kinda hard to recover from so be warned. Hopefully volume 9 is better
Weiss should’ve absolutely killed that guy lmao and Neo imo is the best hand to hang fighter in rwby no one is as skilled I don’t think and I’m all the way caught up such a dope character also po peck knew zwei before they came out on the mission that’s probably how he know to smack him like that (I hope😅)

Subdual wasn't a practical option at that time.)
And it's kind of okay to like Neo.
Ah, sweet little Neo... A barrel of gunpowder shaped like a girly.
any fight with neopolitan is always
I legit thought it was "Jason voorhees" fighting Weiss when that episode came out.
13:10 That is someone we have had mentioned before.
So a small hint as to who the masked lady is.
In yangs trailer, she is asking for information about her.
Neo is one of my absolute favorites on this show!
A reminder that there’s a soundtrack list as well as World of Remnant information from me in your Chapter 6 reaction - and don’t forget to stick around for the after credits scene next chapter! :)
There are secret endings to each volume so stay and watch the credits
You won't need to worry about binging this show for awhile. Volume 9 is coming out soon
12:59 - well...
It will be revealed in the Postcredit-Scene in the Last Episode of Volume 2.
BUT
this Postcredit-Scene is Not Canon!
And the next Time you "actuall" See this Character is LATER
Hmm. Wonder why they changed the post credit scene to non canon 🤔
It’s worth saying now before you react to episode 12 but there is a post credit scene that you won’t want to miss
For some reason I can't find your reaction to the next episode of this volume. Was it removed for some reason?
Rooster Teeth is doing mass copyright claims. Some resulting in blocking the video. We are working on getting it unblocked 😕
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Ah, that's a shame, but understandable. No rush though!
I won't leave spoilers, but I got a good Roman Torchwick style chuckle from two things. All things in time.
😯🤔 appreciate the no spoilers but now we are intrigued
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 You said no spoilers. I've written this on my nightstand and I'll let you know who was right and who was wrong in time.
Boy I really do like ice cream.
Also the Mystery Woman... yeah, if you're like me you're gonna learn to just shy of hate her.
Zwei is a super doggo
Zwei has an aura, so he's totally fine from Oobleck's stunt.
Weiss is such an awesome fighter! ❄
I think it would be a great tribute if you all reacted to a tribute video of him. th-cam.com/video/_465XaHoiGs/w-d-xo.html
Fun Facts:
Fact 1: At 6:07, one of the White Fang members does the Wilhelm scream, a famous stock sound effect, as he falls off the train.
Love the way Neo fights
Notice a glitch in neo's eyes when the colour swaped?
😯 we missed that
For the record Lie Ren is the one based on Mulan
8:50 Neo's shorter, actually. Yang's 5'8", Neo's 4'10"
Fun connection many miss-
Gee whillickers I wonder what happens to all the Faunus they knock into and off the train in the tunnel swarmed by Grimm.
Zwei got that dog in him
for the end art,. it is not RWBY as real poeple,. those are the actual voice actresses of the characters
RWBY definitely got teamed with the wrong dance partners in the train fight.
But the action choreo was awesome!
Neo and fire puppy =favorites
14:58 Doctor.
Yang's mother is not supposed to be dead, she said to Blake that her mother left, she abandoned her with her father, why? That's what Yang wants to know and why she is searching her, could be that misterious woman? Who knows? 👀💦
We had to wait almost 2 years for volume 9...
Volume 2 and 3 are definitely the best volumes of rwby, Volumes 4-8 is where things goes downhill and kinda hard to recover from so be warned. Hopefully volume 9 is better
The ending painting/picture was of the voice actors of team RWBY
Thanks! 😀
Fellow Neo lovers where yall at?
6:05 Quick reminded that they just killed a man.
Only ruby's mom is dead yang's mother just left she didnt die
