Intro to CSDDD

Together with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, MDBC was excited to bring forth the next MY Orange Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) Working Group event titled “Intro to CSDDD“. This two - in - one event introduced attendees to the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) as well as its implications.
The government of the Netherlands expects Dutch companies to conduct business responsibly, both within the Netherlands as well as abroad. On 24 May the European Council adopted the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). This directive is about mandatory due diligence for large companies operating on the European market. For this online presentation we invitedd Jeroen Verburg (Senior Policy Officer Responsible Business Conduct, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to explain more about this new phase of the CSDDD and its expected implications in the years to come.
