I'm sorry to disappoint u, but its not true. I watched him since the beginning and he wasn't a meme guy, he was nuts (he still is) but know I guess couse of youtube he has shifted away from what he was doing and probably won't be able to get back to it.

Dropping in late but I just can't stop listening to this. This one might be my favorite of your covers yet and definitely part of the reasons why I'm now bass shopping.
The first time I watched Davie was about 6 years ago. Back when I was in middle school. It was videos like this that really inspired me to learn an instrument myself and I've been playing ever since. I graduate highschool this year and whether he sees the comment or not, I feel like I have to say thank you. For getting me into the music again, and through highschool.

I've watched a lot of Daveie504's videos, and I've always enjoyed his humor, wit, and especially his playing. He has such a nice touch, never overplaying, and great depth and breadth as a player.

@@avquest01 a brazilian Tagima Millenium 5. It's an active jazz bass with 5 strings. I picked the all black version because it's more neutral and looks good.

He did say that if he gets bored of TH-cam and some good band asks him if he wants to join, he will join them.
Playing in a band is a very different skill. Sounding great in isolation is not the same as sounding great in a band and it's often about leaving space for the other instruments. It requires a different set up as well, I pay a bass identical to the Sterling Ray34 Davie is playing in this video (even the same honey burst paint) and it sound like ass on it's own because of my amp setup and effects but mix it with guitars and drums and it sounds collossal
