    Great video. I couldn’t decide between the 38mm or the larger version. Seeing the 38 on your wrist made my mind up perfect size Thanks again

    Thanks for the review, I have a similar body type to yours and 7 and a half inch wrists, so I was unsure how the 38mm would look. After seeing your video Ive decided to go ahead and order. Greetings from Germany!

    Great review! I think you could have pulled off the larger 43mm size.

      Yeah I kinda think he could do much bigger watches but it’s all subjective

      Makes your arms look smaller. Some people don't want that lol.

    Very nice! I would like to get a 38mm to go along with my Kamasu to just mix it up day to day. You did an excellent review!

      Thank you! I really think I made the right choice! As time goes on I notice Ive been leaning towards smaller case sizes!

    I just bought one of these (pepsi dial: ISL-49) and was nervous about the 38mm size.. I've got a 6.5" wrist, but seeing it on your 7.25" wrist has put me at ease. Looks great on you and nice review, thanks for taking the time to make it! Will check your follow up review on this watch.

    Wow. You do have a great taste for watch size. 38mm size looks fantastic for your wrist. (I personally dont like super big watches)

    Nice watch! Do you have to request them to swap the bezel when ordering? Was there an extra charge for ordering a different bezel?

    Even if you could pull off the 43mm that one probably looks classier. Wondering how it would fit my 6.75 wrist as it looks a bit big for a 38mm.

    These are the best deal in watches. I cant even find an SKX013 for 300 bucks lol.

    Do you still wear the Orient Ray or do you prefer a smaller size now?

    • @daviewavie112
      @daviewavie112 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      👆🏼. Yea I’d like to know your thoughts. I was thinking about the ray ii and then I came across this islander and now I’m stuck between the two. Also do you find the dual time bezel more useful than the dive timing bezel?

    • @niket1234L5W0A2
      @niket1234L5W0A2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@daviewavie112 this watch is a whole other league compared to the ray 2. Looks aside this watch comes with solid end links, sapphire anti-reflective coating, drilled lug holes, and a ceramic bezel. There's just no comparison. That being said, the ray 2 is a fair bit cheaper, but honestly I think this watch is worth it. I can't think of anything that competes with it at the price for guys with smaller wrists

    • @daviewavie112
      @daviewavie112 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      n0tasuna how about the Lorier Neptune iii? It’s a bit more expensive though.

      Hey yes I love my Orient Ray 2 and my Orient Kamasu but I've also been enjoying smaller watches as well! As long as the lug to lug isn't too big and watch feels right on wrist I'm down to wear it! I have a Seiko skx013 and it shares the same case as this islander so i knew it was going to fit great!

    Lol your max looks more like 45mm haha. I have 6.5" wrists, my max really is 40mm.

    Not ALL Seiko divers have misalignment issues. Stop spreading this nonsense.
    That being said, my SKX007 has the loose chapter ring that moves a little sometimes.
    Then again, it was only a €180,- watch.

    • @humblegent4741
      @humblegent4741  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely not all but for lower priced seikos it's very common. For the price it's expected pretty much.
