The fact that Zapdos was a starter that died, and smallant got a Zapdos out of a set of fossils, is amazing to me.
The reason Blastoise levelled up so quickly compared to Zapdos is simply because Blastoise and Zapdos are in the fastest and slowest exp group respectively. Which is pretty interesting.
Edit: Mightyena using fly is so funny to me.

The fact y'all both ran into the same pokemon, on the same route, at the same time, is absolutely wild.
AND it just happened to be a nuzleaf, in the middle of a nuzlocke.
It's like destiny or something. That's gotta be less likely than hitting the damn lottery.

So fitting that Minun carried at the end. Almost the exact same thing happened with me on my first run with it; Minun hard carried my team through the champion fight when I previously had no hope for it. When all hope was lost it shockingly outsped Steven's Metagross even and landed a Thunder and I was like whaaaaaaaa---???
