  • A trip of 2 friends and a journey of discovery into the Cederburg and the Tankwa Karoo. Tim (lost in africa) and myself set off on a Sunday afternoon to discover some new wild camps in these areas in preparation for the tours we will be running in the areas in the near future.
    In this episode head deep into the Cederburg and cross some of the most amazing mountain passes along the way, the scenery is forever changing and mystical. Large rock formations scattered along the way and vast open planes where you feel like you can see the edge of the earth.
    The ever changing scenery of the Western Cape allows us to drive through mountainous areas, dry desert and wide open pans as well as massive rock formations with some ancient rock art. Lots of fun was had on this journey and this only the very very beginning of it.
    I hope you guys enjoy it and thanks for the support :-)

    Eselbank waterfall..... did that section (Op die Berg through Wuppertal etc) on Juba's dog-friendly tour a couple of weeks back......... absolutely beeeeeautiful - but then I just love that part of Cederberg 🌺

    Eselbank is THE BEST place on earth, my mother was born there. You could've used the drone at the waterfall to see the actual waterfall. You also could've camped on Eselbank and checked out the Ereboog its breathtakingly beautiful. &.... When a horse and donkey mates you get an Esel 🤣 now you know lol. The Cerderberg is so beautiful.

    Hey Roland we popped in at the Malmesbury Outdoor Show. A pity you weren’t there. Would have loved to get the location of Madwaleni? We doing a Cederberg exploration trip and wanted to pop in to experience it. But never fear where we are near we will post a pic after Easter maybe the bunny will show us the way…..take care and be safe. Awesome series….

    Hey Bru, this is verrrry lekkeerrrr! Just love your presentation, I'd love to join you & your Tankwa road companions - the fire-side stories must have been incredible. Just a pity Rsa is soooo far away from the cold & grey Germany. What I love of the Boerboels, if they don't kill you, they'll slobber you to death. BUT sacriledge, leftover potjie!!!! Make a potjie- bunnychow hybrid with a loaf of bread & the leftovers, that is a breakfast that will put hair on your chest!, Cheers boet, love your content.

      @MyLifeinAfrica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much Igno, you are more than welcome to join us for sure, we will be doing tours in that area very very very soon and would be happy to have you tag along. Don't worry about the potjie though, we definitely had a lot for breakfast before handing it over to the giant specimen of an animal. Thanks so much for the awesome comment, come to SA again, the weather here is great...

    Brother Roland can I attach a solar panel straight to my car battery when in camp for the fridge ✌️🇿🇦

    • @MyLifeinAfrica
      @MyLifeinAfrica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Brad, no you can't, you'll need to get a solar controller or an MPPT to connect through first, that will relate the current to the battery based on charge state and charge or stop charging accordingly...

      One step at a time man and you'll get there, don't rush to kit yourself out, camp with what you have and make a list of wants vs needs every time, then you don't buy a bunch of things you don't need and you'll refine the experience to a fine art...😎🤟🏻

    Pronounce 'Eselbank' with a longer 'eeee' .. if it had a double-s, you would pronounce it the way you do. Just thought I'd give you some feedback .. took me a while to figure out where you were 😂
