    This has become one of my favorite youtube channels. I’m in the process of building a hybrid Carrera digital and wood routed track with my daughters. I especially appreciate the attention to detail that you pay to scale. The tips and tricks you’ve shared have been invaluable to me and the girls. Thank you for the inspiration as well as the entertainment! Can’t wait for the next video.

      Thanks for your input WJ! I'll be looking forward to hearing more about the track you and the girls are creating. That's probably something your girls will always remember. Your comments are always appreciated. Please subscribe and go back and forward your favorite video on Lunvh King to your friends.

      @@jimmyattard1446 I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a YT channel chronicling our build. I have a few neat ideas that I want to share, but explaining them via text is tedious at best.
      My daughters live about 6 hours away, so we’re doing as much as we can on weekends. Their summer break is gonna be jam-packed this year!

      @@jimmyattard1446 I’ve been following Lunchking for a while now- even clicked the bell icon. I have shared your vids with some of the guys at the local slot car club. I brought in some samples of my painted track as well. I used your method for concrete with cracks and expansion joints, which was a huge hit with the guys!
      Our track is going to be a combination of concrete and asphalt; as if the track got a partial update at some point. The plan is to have the two surfaces transition at a Nurburgring Carousel style curve. I may even add in some graffiti in that area- not sure yet.
      Between you and @BoonesSlotCarGarage, I have TONS of inspiration! Thanks again and keep up the awesome work.

      @@DG-xj7pm Sounds like you and your son will be having some fun when he’s old enough! This is an excellent hobby for kids to grow into. My dad had a track when I was a kid, but we didn’t have enough space to keep it set up permanently. Still, I was hooked from the time I was about 4 or 5.
      Digital systems have come a LONG way. Lane changes and pit stops add different levels of strategy to the racing. It can be a pricey hobby, but there are still some good deals to be found on eBay.
      If there’s a slot car club near you, you can save some money on the front end by using their track and just buying cars and (if needed at your club) controllers.

    I just love how Uncle Jimmy takes discarded stuff from skips or items from the Dollar Store and turns them into works of art.

    Your collection of cars is amazing. I see one that l have, l bought it cause I'm a Dan Gurney fan & a 68 Mercury Cougar nut. Sad that Dan left us.

    Hello Jim, great car collection and love that diorama’s. Exposing my cars without a box, I’ve learned dries out the tires and gives them flat spots. How do you deal with that I wonder?

  • @robertmartin6035
    @robertmartin6035 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Don’t the cars tires develop flat spots sitting on your manufactured road bed ?
    As alway nice work ,and thanks for sharing your years of modeling knowledge/ talent.
    Regards, Bob

    • @jimmyattard1446
      @jimmyattard1446 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are correct Bob! I see one in 20 cars get one tire flat spotted. But I've found that that happens as much in the car case as it does on my shelf. The rear silicone don't flatten but the original rubber left on the front of the car can deteriorate over time. Maybe it's because the cars on the shelves get used at least once a year.
