    I can't confirm obviously, but I might have been (part of at least) the impetus to put a charging hole in the new cases.
    I remember writing to them when I bought my KK2Pro and telling them that one of the first things I did was cut a hole in the case for charging.
    Didn't make sense to me that it didn't come that way to begin with.
    Since your controller needs to sit out charging for hours at a time otherwise.

      As much as we all wish that Sony wasn't so greedy with their licensing for their patents, we'll have to wait a bit longer to have functionality for a PS5(outside of PS4 wired to the Goku adapter) controller use. Gulikit is working on the Dualsense Edge hall effect replacement kit for $30, but as I stated above, the amount of hoops and testing time required before Sony will allow it released with support is extensive, so possibly by this Summer, if not sooner in some markets they may be ready. This is just an estimated timeframe as something could occur that breaks their function in an update while testing that could cause it further delays. In the meantime, I'm happy you enjoyed the info and video, and much thanks for your comment, interest, and for your viewership.

      I appreciate the advise, however where I do everything on my phone, and don't really have a lot of time to dedicate to stylizing and customization for videos(as it already eats up over 5 hours of time I have to set aside in advance to record and research/test) it's difficult to try to lean into something that I don't do for a source of income. • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you are satisfied with what you have then there's really no reason to upgrade. As a Switch Pro controller replacement at the same cost it's still a bargain for all the features it has, and at $45 for you, that's even cheaper than a set of joycons. I don't have the ability to use a tripod with my phone due to how my lighting rig is configured mounted on the back of my desk hanging over top of my display. I use a neck mounted phone holder because it enables me to keep the focus on what I'm recording easier. The only detriment is having my visibility of the purpose of videos only readable through the phone screen so it makes for a more patient approach. Glad that you wanted to share about the great deal that you got, and much thanks for your comment, interest, and for your viewership.

    Damn, thanks for such an in-depth video! Just being able to see the controller being used like this answered a lot of questions I had about it.
    Do you happen to know if the KK2 buttons are compatible with the KK3 controller?

    • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The King Kong 2 Pro face buttons upgrade aren't compatible to the King Kong 3 Max controller. Due to slight changes made in the depth and thickness of the controller variance, plus the old style microswitches(grey) in the King Kong 2 Pro controller I already upgraded to replace one that I had that wasn't working from a shipping accident. The different lengths of the thumbsticks are compatible with the King Kong 3 Max controller, however be aware that they are an extremely tight fit to be all the way positioned. The King Kong 3 Max standard thumbsticks are much larger circumference of the opening to stay mounted on the King Kong 2 Pro controller. If you just prefer the slightly higher tactile pressure of the King Kong 2 Pro's microswitch buttons, so far there isn't that exact same grey type available for the King Kong 3 Max. I know this is a lot of information, but hope it helps, and much thanks for your question, interest, and for your viewership.

    Mind elaborating on what the 4 vs 8 way dpad functionality entails? I could understand if the dpad was disc shaped and had eight conductive pads or microswitches that could be deactivated for the diagonals, but with a cross dpad how does it work?

    • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The dpad swap function basically changes it from being able to trip multiple inputs at a time(8 way) to only having 1 cardinal input(4 way). It wouldn't be ideal for games like Contra, but is ideal for games like pacman or donkey kong originals that are more simple and handle only the up,down,left,right cardinal directions.I hope this helps,, and much thanks for your question, interest, and for your viewership.

    Are the backbuttons customizable on PC?
    Also, how does the KK3 compare to an Xbox one controller (Only controller I currently have)?
    Thanks for the vid!

    • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The back buttons are only customizable to the face buttons due to how the linked mapping works be it on pc, or directly with the settings button while holding down the back button you want to correspond then hold the face button you want it mapped to until it flashes/vibrates. If you are comparing to a standard Xbox One v2 or series controller, both have bluetooth, and are usb type C connection, but this controller only works for PC and not Xbox/PS4 without use of an official xbox/PS4 controller wired to the Goku adapter. What this means is if that original Xbox/PS4 controller has a drifting issue, it will override tthe hall effect function of no drifting for those platforms. However for Switch, PC, mobile, this controller has great low latency with the hyperlink dongle wirelessly, or wired, and relatively low latency for BT5.3 devices, has all the functionality of the Switch Pro controller including power on Switch, NFC Amiibo reading, gyro, and also triggers that can be either digital or analog linear for $10 more, I hope this helps, and much thanks for your question, interest, and for your viewership.

    The swappable thumbsticks seems too tight to replace on the go. A lot of force to put it in and to remove them out. Do they have a different version than the NS34 (originally created for the KK2)?

    • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@daxgaming6391 The thumbsticks on the King Kong 3 Max controller have a larger diameter shaft than the King Kong 2 Pro sticks, so if you try to put straight up the King Kong 3 Max sticks on the King Kong 2 Pro, they are extremely loose and will fall off if you turn flip the controller over. The sticks on the King Kong 2 Pro/King Kong 3 Max by default have the same height and the same grip utilizing rifled grooved silicone rubber. The NS34 have studded nubs on them, and are snug to fit on the King Kong 2 Pro, but by comparison they are a tight fit on the the King Kong 3 Max, where sometimes it will take greater force to have them go down to the base and sink into the grooves on the thumbstick domes. They do fit, and I've had no issues with the NS34 coming loose or otherwise malfunction. I hope this helps, and much thanks for your question, interest, and for your viewership.

    • @xyberKnight

      The button caps aren't unless you use the full lkit for the replacement spring grey button switches, and within the King Kong 3 Max those will stick slightly where they don't have the same llip beveled edge as the King Kong 3 Max buttons do. • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They are slightly quieter on the King Kong 3 series, where they have a mechanical like plunger core that aren't clicky as much as they are having a solenoid rubber feel. If you just want easier to press, King Kong 3 series will help with that. The better deal would be the Pro or base utilizing a more streamlined package. But if you want the full range of option, the Max. I think that most will quantify the difference in cost and just go with the KK3, or King Kong 3 Pro. I hope this helps, and much thanks for your question, interest, and for your viewership.

      Pending how much you can get the King Kong 2 Pro controller for(less than $50), you can always use the mods I show and get a Goku adapter for $20( on Amazon), to create xbox, pc,(both x input and d input), bluetooth, switch, mobile, ps4 compatibility, and mechanical microswitch face buttons on the King Kong 2 Pro controller, where the King Kong 3 Max controller only has 1000hz wired and hyperlink PC connection, x input pc detection only, switch, mobile, but the extra functions of back buttons, and 2nd generation feather sensitive hall effect triggers and joysticks, and cannister solenoid rubber input buttons(look like mechanical switch design but mainly changed to prevent sticking or slipping). Watch the video, I cover both fairly well for what they are and if you don't have the King Kong 2 Pro already, or if you only require x input for your needs, just get the King Kong 3 Max. It's $79.99, and likely to have a coupon soon once stock restabilizes. If you require d input for your needs, just get the king kong 2 Pro. I hope this helps, and much thanks for your question, interest, and for your viewership.

    I bought mine the other day it’s coming in about a week. I play on Xbox and I know I can buy the goku kit but I’m not sure if it wakes the console up from sleep that way.
    I wanted white but I didn’t wanna deal with dirtiness I hope to use the controller for basically forever.
    For now I plan to use it wired and see if I like it. If I do I’ll definitely get the thumb stick kit. I find myself having to use thumb stick grips (not like those control freaks but the silicon ones that go on top I use seako ones their great). I love the Xbox controller and it has really nice precise movement but the concave is way too small it’s like pinky sized. While I like the traction tire marks on the Xbox series controllers my thumbs must just be too big I get red sore thumbs from all the rubbing. I guess it’s what happens when your thumb is way bigger than the thumb stick.
    Oh and I’d you want extra doo dads like thumb sticks, charging dock, goku wireless adaptor that does work on Xbox wireless by using a genuine Xbox controller plugged into it as a workaround. you can find them a bit cheaper on the official gulikit store on ali-express so.

    • @xyberKnight
      @xyberKnight  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hope you enjoy the controller. Where the Gulikit King Kong 3 Max doesn't have an Xbox guide button, I don't know if it'd wake the console from sleep with the Goku adapter or not. I just use my phone to wake my console from sleep anyway where it's paired to the series X. I can't use aliexpress or other sources that don't go through Amazon Gift Card due to being behind a VPN for work and I keep all my online transactions extended only to gift cards for safety. Much thanks for your comment, interest, and for your viewership.

      @@xyberKnight I’m probably just gonna use my tv remote or Google voice on my tv for that. Or just click the Xbox button. Not sure how well the goku will work. So far I’ve just messed with a bunch of differenf paddles. I’ve set on just 2 total instead of the 4 you can use due to comfort. And I love fen dome snapped ones.
      The giro and thumbsficks are far more than the series x which is otherwise the most comfortable controller ever.
      I planned to use it wired. I have been disappointed do learn it didn’t even work as a wired controller. At least the goku adaptor seems great.
      And on yuzu swirch it’s been the best a s with the wireless adaptor that comes includes its great.
      On and focus on Ali express I’m gonna order the charging dock and replaceable thumbs. Both together cost $20 free shipping which I think Is feasible for a charging dock and 6 fhukhadkxkaķ.

      The King Kong 2 Pro doesn't have Trigger stops "digital mode" triggers, it only has analog/digital full length pull of triggers. King Kong 3 Max has trigger stops that will automatically convert the signal of the trigger from analog to digital style. Regardless which is used, the triggers are still hall effect.
