I'm so glad plastic screens made a comeback due to foldables. Never had a broken screen on my plastic screen phones. I had a glass screen phone that had a shattered screen when it fell. Now I'm using a Mate XS with plastic screen and it is still going strong after 8 months with no case. God Bless Us!

I was quite amazed that the first commercially available tri-fold phone has been released. However, I noticed that the testing surface wasn't made of stone but rather styrofoam. There's some trickery involved, but it's still impressive.
Controlled face down drop test is the joke 🤣😂🤣😂🤣. No phone drop in this manner in reality.. phone will landed on one of the corner. Screen or hinges will give way.
They're not doing this for your own preference. They're just testing the durability of the most sensitive part of this phone. No matter how you'll accidentally drop the phone. In the end, display is the most important part

The phone Had a newton Body soft carbon Fibre casing, it is quite durable and can stop bullet when folded as Seen in a test done by one of the buyers, Surely the bullet will destroy the phone But the bullet got stuck in between the Newton Body casing and would save some one using it to shield vital organs.

The local force will be much higher if focused on 1 corner than the whole surface. so the risk of breaking should be higher.
Drop tests are useless because the screen is soft - not covered with glass like most phones. The fail points on a phone like this would be the hinges and the screen crease. Dropping it flat doesn't test either of these. For a soft screen, I'd be more worried about scratches, dust, and screen separation than dropping. Carry one around in your pocket for a few weeks and see how it does.

Que pena no los hayan tirado nunca de atras. Lo importante es eso. Si cae desde el otro lado que pasa?. Mucho pantalla, pero las pruebas tienen que hacerse cayendo del lado de las camaras a ver si el cristal aguanta o no.
En realidad lo que mas querian probar era la resistencia del panel triple, lo de las cámara es obvio que se daña, pero tiene su detalle que tanta presión aguanta por el lado trasero empujando la pantalla.
@@Nokiasretro Realmente vale. La pantalla es la parte más sensible de todas. Si no tienes pantalla no tienes camara, es la ley. Por lo tanto, no vas a poder tirar fotos si tu pantalla de tu móvil funcione o se vea. Tiene sentido común por lo tanto.

I am from Iran, i have Huawei p30 pro and i wanna Tell you If Huawei was not sanctioned by the US, there would be no such thing as Apple,Huawei produces high-quality and durable phones, but my only concern is not having Android.
I have Mate XS and it dropped a couple of times and it survived. I had a glass screen phone and when it dropped it shattered. Plastic screens are so much more durable and shatter resistant.

Also folding phones just have a shorter life span because of the folding and glass phone screens can be replaced. They also don’t scratch in normal use and most gorilla glasses don’t shatter very easily and a simple case will solve all your problems.
