@@ChibiOlia Bro, for that price just get yourself a Samsung newest tablet and a flip case for it, so that you have one big sturdy piece of electronics with good specs, high reliability and widely admired design
Too clumsy. Too bulky. If someone is a business owner, they just have a phone that they can talk and use in one hand, and an iPad to do tablet work. No need to fumble the trifold phone with two hands, and still handle it with more care than a baby chick.
There is a reason why Samsung never pursued this. For most even foldable phones are a nuisance. Even if Apple came out with a triple fold, I won't buy it
Even the regular foldable phones cater to a niche market. Companies such as Apple spent huge amounts of money and time on product and market research, testing and perfecting their products. Apple wants their products (including software) to be in demand, user-friendly, good quality and reliable. Huawei is just copying. They want to have something different though not even innovative, but they don't put in the time and money doing proper market research, testing and perfecting the product. China is not known for that, nor for being innovative.
When have you ever once thought to yourself "I could really use another screen right now" on your phone... It's a phone, it's not designed for whatever you'd be trying to do. If you want to multitask, you have a proper pc setup with 2 - 3 monitors. You get perfect, intended use out of them. Trying to carry this over to a hand held phone is such a poor gimmick.
yea but the thing is its as thick as the newest samsung z fold (folded) and most foldables are 1:1 which wouldnt make a difference to a normal phone when you watch videos, thats why this foldable is 4:3, tablet size
I think the problem is not the phone but the people who buys it. They need to know how to use it before they buy. Nobody is putting the tablet to their ears in answering the call. Are they that ignorant? That's why its a meme.lol.You need to couple this phone with smart watch or earbuds for answering the call.If you buy right away when it comes out, you are gonna get ripped since it was bound to drop in price.I dont think you can put the Samsung fold in your pocket. With trifold, its gonna be more heavier and its very obvious. The heat issue i think will be fixed with software update. If you have money to buy the phone, you obviously should have money to fix it and if you cant, you shouldnt buy in the first place. This type of phones are for rich people.
I've been blown away by this phone when I saw videos on TH-cam but I realised only today that... The main screen in single screen mode, is still made of foldable screen material... Therefore too fragile to sit in your pocket

The most impractical smartphone created for daily users to use. Except for covering their faces when making phone calls and using it to cook 2 cup noodles at the same time as a noodle stopper they nailed that part right.
But they solved the biggest problem, thickness and weight. Its almost exactly the same as the newest samsung z fold and i gotta say if samsung would make this product it would be a brick

You know what's messed up? People keep criticising how the phone is not thin or not wide or not convenient, how about they find a solution like having a small hand beg thats can fit that smartphone and wallet. Or use the wide one for games or socialising or works, and use the small screen for phone call or using earphone? They are rich why not use an earphone?
It's a bad design if u need to sacrifice the convenience not needing to carry a small hand bag or earphones around just to have this phone as ur daily driver
The LG V60 implementation of the Dual Screen is Perfect in my opinion - one can take the dual screen case off anytime, including if it's to be serviced or changed. Being glass, it's durable and a lot more scratch resistant. It can fold any which way, too. It's got Active Pen support. It has a hi-fi audio jack, AND a micro SD card slot up to 1 tb! It's Perfect for me.
Scalpers bought most of the original first run, so if you wanted one of the first folding tri phones, there was a big premium. After bad reviews and low demand due to China's bad economy, street prices dropped back to retail prices as nobody wanted to pay a premium price.

To play devil's advocate, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was described by Samsung as "The hottest premiere of the season" (sic!) What's good that came from this lesson is, that ever since that failed project no Samsung phone model experienced similar fate. Mistakes are made sometimes and what we can do to make them useful is to learn from them and keep them in mind

Huawei to the Chinese is not a free-market commercial product, but rather a national icon. So they do get irrational when purchasing the phone out of nationalist sentiment. Also it’s the first tri fold phone so it does take time for generations to get the tech mature.

I'm sorry but some of the dialogue in this video is just stupid. Making comments that can be applied to any foldable phone too! Stating it's too heavy and yet the Vivo X Fold weighs more and is thicker than the XT and the former is just a regular foldable. Saying things like you need two hands to open the phone like that's a negative when you have to use two hands to open any other foldable. Then to say with other phones you can quickly check for messages and then put it into your pocket but with the XT you have to fold it first. If you are quickly checking for messages then the phone will already be folded. Who brings a tablet to the supermarket? No one. Likewise, who would open up an XT to tablet mode in a supermarket? Silly people and then they complain about it. These people who are constantly using the XT in tablet mode in public scenarios and then complaining about it have no sense. You use it in tablet mode for media consumption or gaming or productivity. You don't use it opened out for scanning codes, NFC pay, supermarket apps. It's nonsense! I feel this video is clutching at straws to find negative issues at a stretch for the sake of it. I own a foldable and in public I use it folded like normal people do. The XT is not the first phone with an outward screen. The Mate X, Xs and X2 all had outer soft screens. Be objective. This is clearly a pro iPhone video and fails to point at any innovation from Huawei. The XT is not perfect, but the negatives in this video are so stupid which is mainly down to user stupidity who lack common sense on how and when to use the open tablet mode.
This phone is for business, for intensive videos watch, and media production so stop spreading bs, this phone is not for regular phone users...i think u and all users in this vid are fan apple🤦
Right, this Huawei phone is not for regular users. This phone if for users who have big money for constant repairs, or for those want to display their phone as a symbol of their wealth.
Folding phones give you twice the screen with half the durability. Triple folding phones give you 3 times the screen with not even a third of the durability. Thats not a good compromise imo.

Too clumsy. Too bulky. If someone is a business owner, they just have a phone that they can talk and use in one hand, and an iPad to do tablet work. No need to fumble the trifold phone with two hands, and still handle it with more care than a baby chick.
Other great uses for tri fold: 4 cup coaster, door stop, paper weight, desk partition
A makeshift paddle for the next flood in CN.
Apple is not the type to release half-assed products. They don't do things first just to be first. They do things best even if it's last.
That's what people said about smart phones. You're definitely missing out if you don't have a foldable
yea but the thing is its as thick as the newest samsung z fold (folded) and most foldables are 1:1 which wouldnt make a difference to a normal phone when you watch videos, thats why this foldable is 4:3, tablet size
Every time a scalper loses money, an angel gets its wings.
Patriotic tax as always, what happen with the Apple boycott few months ago?

The ugliest phone ever on earth
The most impractical smartphone created for daily users to use.
Except for covering their faces when making phone calls and using it to cook 2 cup noodles at the same time as a noodle stopper they nailed that part right.
Chinese tech 😜
3:23 Dude, i have a Samsung fold 6 but that doesn't mean I open it every 5 seconds when I'm out of the house😂
Probably Samsung didn't push this product. China was like "ima steal it and pretend I'm innovative."
Thery encoutered the same issues that users of this phone encounter on the daily and instead backed off, staying at the rate of single folding plane
Fr 😂
But they solved the biggest problem, thickness and weight. Its almost exactly the same as the newest samsung z fold and i gotta say if samsung would make this product it would be a brick
Trí-fold phones can be useful for people who need a bigger screen (for presentations, watching movies, multitasking) and yet portable.
It can be useful for executives or sales people who need the mobility and portability.
They should market this as foldable tablet rather than foldable phone
With screen issue, nope.
bro this thing translated doesnt even mean "foldable phone"
I'm amazed by how all these videos show people on the move making calls with it fully unfolded. Seriously, nobody does that.

Nice misinformation, but Samsung still sells folding phones.
Scalpers bought most of the original first run, so if you wanted one of the first folding tri phones, there was a big premium. After bad reviews and low demand due to China's bad economy, street prices dropped back to retail prices as nobody wanted to pay a premium price.
Man sinking a bunch of money on a niche product. And sinking more cash just for the repairs. Just like their submarines they sink a bunch of cash for the repairs and the thing actually sinks.

I do appreciate how Huewei has been the one that introduced many of us to the breakthrough of communication technologies. Seriously, it should be considered a golden age of phone that emphasize on the need of the user rather than the profit they will make.
One major need of users is buying a phone that doesn't break in the first day or week of owning it.
I think the screen will break in less than 1 year
a year? Some are already broken after a day
@@yslee1401tbh their screen just broke because theyre too dumb to fold it correctly
You're expecting Fold 6 reliability from a Fold 1 device. This is a beta product and everyone should or could have known this.
Still very cool that they're trying something different!
Beta products are not sold to consumers as finished products except by scam artists.
The only good thing about this phone is that it does not explode and catch fire like many chinese electric vehicles do.
Not yet, at least.
To play devil's advocate, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was described by Samsung as "The hottest premiere of the season" (sic!)
What's good that came from this lesson is, that ever since that failed project no Samsung phone model experienced similar fate. Mistakes are made sometimes and what we can do to make them useful is to learn from them and keep them in mind

Despite its potential defects, there are still 1.2 million pre orders. Well you can say that consumers are stupid. But yeah, they are. Huawei to the Chinese is not a free-market commercial product, but rather a national icon. So they do get irrational when purchasing the phone out of nationalist sentiment. Also it’s the first tri fold phone so it does take time for generations to get the tech mature.
The phone is not a joke, it's revolutionary. But it has First Gen problems, so Ordinary people shouldn't have bought it. Its your mistake, you expected it to be flawless.

Right, Huawei intentionally released a lousy phone to collect big money because they were running low on funds. I expect the CCP to confiscate the original first run so that users will have no excuse but to buy the 2nd edition folding phone. Maybe the CCP will even require owners of the 1st gen phones to buy the 2nd gen phones.

CCP Little Pink Propaganda: Huawei has surpassed Samsung
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The XT is not perfect, but the negatives in this video are so stupid which is mainly down to user stupidity who lack common sense on how and when to use the open tablet mode.
its a stupid phone n only stupid people will defend it.
you forgot to remind people Xt can cover 2 instant noodle cups! don't shame the motherland!!

Nah, I love the triple-fold because it's so convenient covering two cups of instant ramen while watching videos🤣
Fortunately Chinese are smart , they all want iPhones because it’s better
IBOOM with extra button . nice choice. hahahahahahahahaha
Yeah, still a big queue at Apple Stores all over China
@@bentosschan973 No, I think most people don’t care about this new button. However, they see that an iPhone is reliable, it works flawlessly, and it’s very powerful.
It also takes excellent photos, and on top of that, the Pro Max is capable of recording 4K at 120 FPS, all in HDR across all lenses. No other phone does that with such quality.
The Chinese aren’t stupid; they see these kinds of things, as mentioned in the video. But people pay a sort of “patriot tax” because they want to buy their own national brand. In the end, though, they regret it and prefer to go for the iPhone.
However, I love the Find series from Oppo, and I’m really excited to see the release of the Find X8 Ultra. It promises larger sensors, and ColorOS is just amazing to use.
But in the end, the iPhone is still more enjoyable to use.
