There will never be another group like the Bee Gees! They created so many amazing songs in different genres. across 50 years for the group and over 60 years for Barry. I would like to hear some original songs mixed with the older classics on his next album. He is such a brilliant songwriter, and he sings like an angel!
His album in the now has some great new songs. I don't know if you've listened to it or not but I really enjoy several of those songs a lot.
We loved Greenfields Barry thank you for sharing it with us. Your brothers Maurice and Robin are so proud of you and the country artist involved.
I remember waking up on our houseboat in Treasure Island, Florida to Andy Gibb singing "I just wanna be your everything" on the radio in 1977. I was 11 years old then. My dad was a Bee Gees fan by the way. It was the first time I had heard Andy and I was in love! I must say though, Sir Barry Gibb was of course my favourite. The songs I loves are embedded in my memory and word for word I will always remember them every time I hear the melody of any one of those songs. What a legacy you and your brothers have given us. Thank you forever..

Tragedy .....is knowing the brothers Gibb will never be again.. I truly feel lucky to have been alive throughout their entire career.. the Bee Gee’s is without a doubt my favorite.. I use to dream about being part of them as I would drive my old car down the road singing It’s only words and words are all I have to steal your heart away such great memories.

Ive seen numerous current interviews lately and i always think how does he do it, answering the same questions and being such a gentleman and so genuine each time. For me its still bittersweet to see photos of the brothers. Thank you Gibb brothers, you will never know how many folks love your music.
He was brought up with manners that’s how he does it as many of us were in the 40s 50s and 60s somewhere went haywire and have all gone off track..

I put on a ‘great hits of 1978’ playlist today to listen to as a shoveled my deck. Almost all of the songs were either sung by or written by the Bibb brothers. No one tops them and their 5 decades of music that will live forever! They are the GOAT of this industry.

Barry, Maurice & Robin just wanted to sing, write & “be famous” money was totally secondary.. Barry told a story when he was 14 or so a girl was breaking up with him.. he said, don’t do it. I’m going to be famous.. she broke up with him.. I’d love to know how she thought about him & his brothers achieving their goals… tells you so much about who they truly are/were.. 2022 I listen to them every night!!
I think money was secondary to Barry who always put his family first, but that certainly wasn't true with Robin.

I totally understand the family dynamic he had with his brothers. It feels very much like mine. We get together for certain occasions and the rest of the time we might text or talk briefly but otherwise live our lives separately. There's nothing wrong between us. We know the others are there if we need them. But we like having our own life not defined by anything other than who we are individually. I feel really bad for Barry though because that connection was his artistic life. The process of creating was its own thing and not exactly something you yearn to go back to without them with you.
🥀Amazing interview with Barry Gibb he looks so wonderful. I love everything he does he's so creative and still has so much to offer. As far as I'm concerned I'm glad that he doesn't want to mention his Brothers deaths because I don't want to think about it I've had bad dreams about them. The interviewer had a tendency to talk over Barry. Barry hardly finish the sentence before the guy had the next question. When interviewers talk over the celebrity it really bothers me. And Barry definitely is not someone who should be cut off in mid-sentence.

They had 6 top 10 charts positions including No1 in the Billboard 100 at the same time.Only The Beatles have equalled this record.

Hi again Paul. Just looked up the Billboard records. The Beatles were the 1st group to have 5 songs(all in the top 5) at the same time. There were 5 BeeGee written songs on March 25th 1978 in the top ten but not six. Check out the Billboard and you will find what I am stating is factually correct. Andy Gibb was not in the top ten at that time.

Stop watching the news and live your life, if you want to get out, just wear a mask indoors where there are lots of people, wash your hands and you will be fine. . Did you see the video below, from this past January, of Barry giving thanks for being awarded Best-Selling Americana Album by a UK Artist, for “Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers’ Songbook Vol. 1” at the 2022 UK Americana Awards?
Notice those white orbs, playfully flying around throughout this brief video -- Maurice and Robin, NO DOUBT. Especially notice at 18 seconds in, when Barry says, "I'd like to thank all the artists who made this album" -- that would be cheeky Robin showing up just to Barry's right (his usual position) and slowing down to make sure he’s seen. I mean, c'mon, was there ANY song on Greenfields that Robin and Maurice didn't help create?! These were THEIR songs, too, and I believe they were able to show up to join in the celebration

Wen Diesel I wonder if he is now able to hit those notes. Our voices change as we get older. I’ve also read that his voice changed after he had surgery performed on his back. I’m so thankful he is still active and performing and singing however that may sound.

Interviewers definitely need to be informed when interviewing especially Barry Gibb and the Bee Gees. Not to know their history is Unforgivable. He's not Joe Blow from the sidewalk outside he's BARRY GIBB.
Barry is such a down to earth guy. But one thing that makes me sad is that apparently the Gibb cousins were not a tight group. Thats to bad.
