On the mintage chart you’ll see a few small numbers that was for proof collector coins. Which aren’t for circulation and don’t mean anything for this video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@Who_diss811 You are correct, the 2024-P mintage amount was 36,720,000 and the 2024-D mintage amounts is 32,800,000, But the D mint is much more desirable and more often collected due to its record of quality. This was my understanding, the 2024-D would be considered a "Key Date" while the 2024-P would be considered a "Semi key date". I hope this helps my friend. 🙂👍
As of September 2024, the U.S. Mint reported producing 69.6 million Jefferson nickels for circulation, with 32.88 million minted in Denver and 36.72 million in Philadelphia. This production level is notably lower than in previous years; for instance, in 2023, the Mint produced 1.28 billion nickels.
I just finished going thru a Bank box of Jefferson's and while I did find some nice errors, there was not one 2024 Jefferson nickel. I did come across an excellent conditioned 1941 Jefferson though, and it has full steps, without a mark on them!
As fewer people use cash, I suspect this will be the new trend for all coins. The exception would be coins used in other countries that use the USD as their currency, such as Panama and Ecuador. I know Ecuador uses the dollar coin a lot, and Panama uses the US paper dollars, but mint their own pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half dollars, all the same size, weight and composition of US coins.

So,as stated earlier, Basically 2024 P and D Nickels were minted in shortage right ??? $3-$5 apiece already ??? What ???? .....🤔🤔👍😳😊....Eyes on y'all !!!👀👀🤯
Well the list shows the mintage for the P, D, And S mints and the Philadelphia mint only shows 551,802 on the 2024 nickel and other years on the list. One of the previous years shows a mintage of only 313,183. So will the Philadelphia minted 2024 nickels become the most valuable as time goes on? Thanks for the eye opener my friend!
I just found 1971 Eisenhower dollar with no mint mark near the neck. They stamped it on his eye!! Also have a 1974 Eisenhower dollar with the eagle on reverse side. The wing looks like it being pierced with arrow. Any thoughts??

Because sleepy crooked Joe Biden just sent Ukraine another $70+million to protect Hunter's and Nancy Pelosi's son in law's personal investments in Ukraine's natural resources.
Because the Federal reserve had enough coins on hand that they projected they wouldn't need to order new coins from the mint for awhile so they stopped ordering new coins from the Mint. Just like they did back in 2009. So with no orders from the Fed, production at the mints stopped. Mintages of cents this year are also unusually low. Usually they make around 7 billion cents each year, but in 2024 they've only made 2.6 billion
@@choosey87you’re comment was indeed not a fact . If you could ask for the 2024 D nickels specifically why haven’t you gone to all your bank branches and taken them all ?
In the past two weeks I’ve obtained 3 boxes of 2024-P nickels. From what I’ve been reading the 2024-D nickels are more valuable but these carry value too, especially unopened rolls. However, of the 150 rolls, 36 have the reverse sides on both ends so you can’t tell what year they are. So not sure what to do about those.

Are you sure it looks like both are low mint amounts when you look at the numbers.
I'm pretty sure it's all mints but D mint is the most common of all mints by far so it's highly unlikely that that'll be the favored upon mint

Fun fact The nickel is the only modern u.s coin of which the metal value is more than face value
I hoard them all away.
That’s why I sell mine for scrap
Costs more to make too.
