I wanna add... A horseshoe is a lucky charm, unless it's opening is towards the ground, or upside-down if you will, as the luck "falls" out, so in that scene, the horseshoe is pointing down and therefore it wasn't lucky
After you mentioned the four drivers all under the influence I noticed that the theme of drugs continues throughout the movie. Rory continues using cocaine (and I think snorts it minutes before his death), Evan is drinking beer right before he dies, Cat gives Nora (either Xanax or Valium) right before Nora dies and Tim is high on laughing gas at the dentist right before his death. Tim's reaction of first running into the pigeons (very childish considering he looks about 14) and then not moving when he see's the falling glass could also be caused by lingering effects of the laughing gas.

That makes sense. Also in that shot where we see what he sees, looking straight up, all you can see is the rig that's holding the sheet of glass - it probably took him just that extra second to figure out what he was looking at.

I remember that a newspaper on Final Destination 3 said that Kimberly and Thomas died on a bizarre accident, I think it was a deleted scene so may be it's not considered canon but I like that they mentioned it.
Although they were originally supposed to be on the same subway that the 3 survivors of FD3 were on at the end, having all members die by the end of that movie, but unfortunately the actors that played Kimberly and Thomas couldn’t make it due to schedule conflicts. I still like to think they’re on that subway though.
It _was_ a deleted scene, which makes that ending non-canon. It defeats the whole purpose of Kimberly's drowning to begin with by potentially establishing that there really is no way to cheat death, which then makes the entire series kinda pointless.

yusss. I wonder how much the opening scene being the best setup of all of the Final Destinations let me excuse the rest of the movie. It's honestly hard to choose between 1, 2, and 5 for me. 5 was very clever, 2 had the best setup, and 1 is the original with the most pathos and story.
In believing that there are no such thing as coincidences, especially in film, I noticed that Isabella’s van being labeled as “Fresh & Fast Florist” is another subtle reference to 666, due to F being the sixth letter of the alphabet. I think the interesting part is the conflict in the supernatural realm between reapers that want to stick to the plan and some rogue reaper that is sending all these 'signs' to certain mortals in order to mess with Death's plan.

The water in all the traffic scenes is something that's frequently done in movies because it increases contrast or something to do with lighting. That doesn't make your point less valid, it merely provides another reason for water being present in some of these scenes.

Weird coincidence, but there’s a toy ambulance on the floor in the apartment scene that has the city name “mt. Pleasant” on it, which is the city my college is in. So I know this may seem random, but when you said there was a fascination with the number 23 in the film, when Kimberly chooses the radio station to listen to the “1 year anniversary of flight 180” segment, you can see the radio is on 104.9. If you add those number individually 10+4+9 it equals 23
12:00 The real clue to his death isn't just the skull, it's the fact that they open the scene with the camera looking through the glass at the skull, and then move up to his face. saying he's going to have his skull/head/whole body crushed by the glass but also setting up the red herring with the fish so you think the fish is the clue to him suffocating on the mobile one.
18:18 The reason why she drops the phone because she already saw the “man with hooks” on the elevator when stepped in and when she got the call that sinks in to her that a man with hooks is definitely behind her. It’s not a stupid scene. It’s actually cool.
I think at that point it was truly just in Kimberly's hand. Granted she was in a giant lake and was near the bottom, how could death saved her (or something like that)? Basically, I think it's more likely for a gun to not go off with a full barrel then a person drowning themselves, near the bottom of the lake. Death couldn't had intervened at that point (like with the wind or something). I hope this helped a bit. But it's just my theory.
Maybe she was never meant to die because she says that she would have been killed in a robbery but she could of gotten out of the robbery alive so maybe she just there to get Clear out of the hospital and get her to in position to die which she does like the pregnant lady

@@kwanholloway4112 I'm addicted to this channel, to the point of watching movies just to see what Zac has to tell about them, he makes very unique content. He made a lot of videos about the Saw franchise, which I'm a hardcore fan of, so I couldn't help but subscribe. I admit I didn't like his excentric style at first, but he has since grown on me.
The guy in the elevator has a basket full of arms from mannequins they use for clothing stores window, the hooks are where the plastic ("flesh") has been removed. Fits in with the puppet theme (being death's puppet - puppets are also seen earlier in the film), as mannequins are posable and manipulated according to the window dresser's design. Plus it's a nice nod to the final scene where the barbecue goes big badda boom and the severed arm with the flesh burned off lands on the table.
Something that has always bothered my about one of the accidents in this movie is when the guy gets sliced apart with barbed wire. There's no way something as dull as barbed wire would cut straight through human bone. Especially travelling that slow; it would have to be going the speed of a bullet.
@@davidparkes7741 You could measure the speed of how fast it was travelling by timing it. It doesn't appear to be traveling nearly fast enough to cut through bone with dull wire. It should have just pulled him along with it.
The woman was not collecting trash she was collecting aluminum which is a common way for people that don't have money to try to make some to survive. The woman was more than likely homeless. This is an invisible population and I hope that this will help people understand a little.

"Death won't take you when it's not your turn" was always a thing though. That's why in the first one Alex was fine to cross a lake in a lightning storm, and wasn't actually in danger of drowning under the tree. And when I first saw the first movie, I assumed that when Alex grabbed the live wire, it upset Death's plan because he essentially killed himself to save Clear. Clear was saved, it's not her turn now: it's Alex's turn. But it can't be the electrical shock that killed him, so Death has to wait a while before trying to get him with something that doesn't connect back to him getting electrocuted. But then Carter saves him, and it's now Carter's turn.
I lowkey love the reactons of the people at the end when Rory blew up it was like (for the famer and his wife) "what the frig how did our son blow up?!" And fkr everyone else it was like "ah sh*t not again"

CZ, I am your devotee and absolutely love your videos. You mentioned the guy with the Mustang and all these intricate little details that foreshadow his doom even mentioning his ri horseshoe ring which is meant to be good luck. But you did not mention that when you look at him holding it he is holding it upside down. Part of the good luck horseshoe Legend is that if you hang it upside down all the luck runs out. He is lucky going up the stairs not being able to see with all those packages and then the near misses in the kitchen. But when he looks at his ring he looks at it upside down so it looks like his luck is running out.
23:00 the news article about the first responders makes me remember the rumors of the Final Destination reboot where it is going to follow first responders. I wonder if this will be brought back up again in that film.
When the mother started screaming - when I FIRST saw it back in the day I actually started laughing - coz the screaming wasn't convincing enough. Still thought it was a great scene. the dad I think it was commented that Rory saved the kid's life and then Kimberly & Thomas look at each other as if to say 'oh sh.t' then look toward the BBQ and boom... then the kid's arm ...
What I learn from these movies is that Death is apparently OCD and it's not just enough for him to kill the people that were meant to die, but they must be killed in order. Later in the series they do point out that anyone on Death's list is essentially immortal until it's their turn to die, because Death doesn't want people to die out of the planned order.
I don't think I've seen anyone online point this out not even on the wikis of final destination, but there's 2 things that foreshadow Clear's death. Both take place at the coroner's place with the 1st clue being Clear not knocking and opening the door when Burke asks shouldn't they knock first. Second is when they go in the place, she is the first one to see fire out of the furnace foreshadowing the explosion that would take her life.

Wille, I do agree that this movie is flawed, but it is still my favorite Final Destination film, maybe because only this one gives some semblance of hope that you can cheat death, and I don't care what "blink and you'll miss it" scene in Final Destination 3 has to say about that. Whenever the case it still has much more sense than any Final Destination sequel that came after 2.

I remember that a newspaper on Final Destination 3 said that Kimberly and Thomas died on a bizarre accident, I think it was a deleted scene so may be it's not considered canon but I like that they mentioned it.

Although they were originally supposed to be on the same subway that the 3 survivors of FD3 were on at the end, having all members die by the end of that movie, but unfortunately the actors that played Kimberly and Thomas couldn’t make it due to schedule conflicts. I still like to think they’re on that subway though.
It _was_ a deleted scene, which makes that ending non-canon. It defeats the whole purpose of Kimberly's drowning to begin with by potentially establishing that there really is no way to cheat death, which then makes the entire series kinda pointless.

But I get what you’re trying to say. Unfortunately since the even and odd numbered movies in this series had different directors (Wong vs. Ellis), there’s never really been a clear answer on this.
This was always my favorite of the series. As a kid, this accident seemed way too more realistic for me. Going on long road trips. Never looked at a log truck the same.

yusss. I wonder how much the opening scene being the best setup of all of the Final Destinations let me excuse the rest of the movie. It's honestly hard to choose between 1, 2, and 5 for me. 5 was very clever, 2 had the best setup, and 1 is the original with the most pathos and story.

In believing that there are no such thing as coincidences, especially in film, I noticed that Isabella’s van being labeled as “Fresh & Fast Florist” is another subtle reference to 666, due to F being the sixth letter of the alphabet. Great series! Inspires me to binge watch the saga as soon as I’m done with your videos.
I think the interesting part is the conflict in the supernatural realm between reapers that want to stick to the plan and some rogue reaper that is sending all these 'signs' to certain mortals in order to mess with Death's plan.

The water in all the traffic scenes is something that's frequently done in movies because it increases contrast or something to do with lighting. That doesn't make your point less valid, it merely provides another reason for water being present in some of these scenes.

Weird coincidence, but there’s a toy ambulance on the floor in the apartment scene that has the city name “mt. Pleasant” on it, which is the city my college is in. I think at that point it was truly just in Kimberly's hand. Granted she was in a giant lake and was near the bottom, how could death saved her (or something like that)? Basically, I think it's more likely for a gun to not go off with a full barrel then a person drowning themselves, near the bottom of the lake. Death couldn't had intervened at that point (like with the wind or something). I hope this helped a bit. But it's just my theory.

Tims death has a funny line from the dentist. The destist ask if he is feeling any pain as the glass pane is in the background.
The giving birth thing actually worked as Kimberly didn’t die in FD2 and Death skipped her and moved on with FD3 victims.
The guy in the elevator has a basket full of arms from mannequins they use for clothing stores window, the hooks are where the plastic ("flesh") has been removed. Fits in with the puppet theme (being death's puppet - puppets are also seen earlier in the film), as mannequins are posable and manipulated according to the window dresser's design. Plus it's a nice nod to the final scene where the barbecue goes big badda boom and the severed arm with the flesh burned off lands on the table.
Something that has always bothered my about one of the accidents in this movie is when the guy gets sliced apart with barbed wire. There's no way something as dull as barbed wire would cut straight through human bone. Especially travelling that slow; it would have to be going the speed of a bullet.

The woman was not collecting trash she was collecting aluminum which is a common way for people that don't have money to try to make some to survive. The woman was more than likely homeless. This is an invisible population and I hope that this will help people understand a little.

"Death won't take you when it's not your turn" was always a thing though. That's why in the first one Alex was fine to cross a lake in a lightning storm, and wasn't actually in danger of drowning under the tree. And when I first saw the first movie, I assumed that when Alex grabbed the live wire, it upset Death's plan because he essentially killed himself to save Clear. Clear was saved, it's not her turn now: it's Alex's turn. But it can't be the electrical shock that killed him, so Death has to wait a while before trying to get him with something that doesn't connect back to him getting electrocuted. But then Carter saves him, and it's now Carter's turn.
I lowkey love the reactons of the people at the end when Rory blew up it was like (for the famer and his wife) "what the frig how did our son blow up?!" And fkr everyone else it was like "ah sh*t not again"

You mentioned the guy with the Mustang and all these intricate little details that foreshadow his doom even mentioning his ri horseshoe ring which is meant to be good luck. But you did not mention that when you look at him holding it he is holding it upside down. Part of the good luck horseshoe Legend is that if you hang it upside down all the luck runs out. He is lucky going up the stairs not being able to see with all those packages and then the near misses in the kitchen. But when he looks at his ring he looks at it upside down so it looks like his luck is running out.

What I learn from these movies is that Death is apparently OCD and it's not just enough for him to kill the people that were meant to die, but they must be killed in order. Later in the series they do point out that anyone on Death's list is essentially immortal until it's their turn to die, because Death doesn't want people to die out of the planned order.

I don't think I've seen anyone online point this out not even on the wikis of final destination, but there's 2 things that foreshadow Clear's death. Both take place at the coroner's place with the 1st clue being Clear not knocking and opening the door when Burke asks shouldn't they knock first. Second is when they go in the place, she is the first one to see fire out of the furnace foreshadowing the explosion that would take her life.

Wille, I do agree that this movie is flawed, but it is still my favorite Final Destination film, maybe because only this one gives some semblance of hope that you can cheat death, and I don't care what "blink and you'll miss it" scene in Final Destination 3 has to say about that. Whenever the case it still has much more sense than any Final Destination sequel that came after 2.

Since you later establish that the sequels take place in a different timeline (where the flight 180 disaster happened in 2000 rather than 1999), it's possible that in the sequel timeline Clear was friends, or at least friendly, with the rest of them.
