hey, just found your videos, my friend has one of these and I've just done the steering pump on it, needed to get the inlet mani and engine mount bracket off, what a nightmare. now the thing has conked out, my mate got his vagcom on it and its not showing any problems, going to change the fuel filter and see if that helps. then an oil and filters change too.
that is the best oil option for your engine, i will double check if there is a short interval oil recommended, but i've always used what the doctor prescribed as i want my engine to last
you can but its not recomended as the viscosity of it is too thin, its all to do with the viscosity of your heated oil and 505.01 will be too thin when fully up to temperature. slowly (over few years) you will start damaging the engine under lubricating it also depends on how much you drive on how fast you will kill the engine
@@NoExpert Have the same ramps and the same car 2.5tdi touareg ....had the car with about 150-200kg of stuff inside and drove onto the ramps....they folded as a piece of paper .......got a 5 ton jack and 5 ton axle stands (using halfords previously ) and never had an issue

had to replace a turbo as my blew up in smoke had to take the bracket off as well it was tough but got through it
Hello i have a 2004 touareg 2.5 tdi 174 hp . Is the only option for engine oil 506.01 spec ?

any difference between the R5 and the V6?
R5 = 2.5 litre 5 cylinder diesel
V6 = 3.0 litre v6 diesel

Do not use those ramps anymore !!!!!! I had EXACTLY THE SAME AND THEY FAILED UNDER A 2.5 Touareg !!!!!!!
Didn't look very sturdy but they held up a Towrag
